The Sony Playstation Discussion Thread
If you are a fan of Sony, or want to discuss future Playstation games, then post here.
Sony Discussion sounds better....I guess. Oh well.
I thought Playstation worked better, 'cause that's what all their systems are named under.
*shrug* |
I would have probably called it the Sony Playstation Discussion thread or just Playstation Discussion thread cause the Xbox thread isn't called the Microsoft discussion thread but that is just me.
It's just a thread name. There, everyone's happy.
Some People like all systems so you need 3 seperate threads.PS3 is coming out Late 2006.The Playstation 2 that had a recordable DVD player built in.Never showed up in North America. It was called PSX anybody remember it.Not Playstation 1.
Quote:
It wasn't a recordable DVD player, but a PS2 with a TV tuner with TiVo like features built in. |
It cost too much money to buy.Japan did not want it either. The concept of this is dead.Hpefully Sony does not make PS3 with built in TIvo because it would screw up the system. My first Ps 2 got DRE because of playing DVDS on it.My second one is just strictly games.
I use a DVD player for movies now. |
Oh my, this thread is going to be lonely and unloved.
So anyway, I'll just post a couple of must have games. If anyone wants to add something (which I doubt) feel free. - Dark Cloud 2: Dark Chronicle - Final Fantasy series - ICO (I guess, I've never played it) - Jak and Daxter - Metal Gear Solid series - Ratchet & Clank series - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night |

I actually thought more than once about starting a thread like this but since there's so much Sony hatred here I didn't.
Does anyone have Intelligent Qube for PS1? I have a demo and it was awesome, then I tried to find it and its like $60+ for it, used.
Barkworm forgot the best game ever made.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Trust me, it's bad ass. The main character can run faster than birds fly, and he literally sweats sex appeal (I swear it's an ability in the game.) You need to play this game. Everyone does. It has just about everything anyone could ever want in a video game. |
I agree. The game is so ultimate. It's probably the only game I can beat, and then start a new file and play it AGAIN. The game never gets old. Ever. The guy is sexy in all forms. He even gets some barely 18 ass. I love it. I need it. He's my idol. The game is definitely everything I could ever want in a video game.
And Goddamn Sony canelled the sequel because it was 2D. I love that game more than words can discribe. I love all of its GBA sequels as well. I'll most likely love the DS sequel that's coming too. That is a KICKASS game.
And yes I played it on Bleem. :P |
The DS game's pry gonna get a jump in difficulty because of that "wow, you have to actually draw the seal! what? i messed up... and the boss is at full health again? Do'h!" thing.

Is any one besides me playin' Viewtiful Joe 2 on the PS2? That game is fun and rad. I like the graphics and the fighting mechanics. The bosses are really full of variety and the cut scenes add humor to the game. The puzzles are very diverese and I like being able to play as two characters. If anyone hasn't checked them game out they should. Its rad.
I played the original on Gamecube, but ever got around to the sequel. Judging by the demo, the game does kick ass.
The Character's name was Alucard a boss from Castlevania 3 nes.For this game I would have prefered Castlevania Dracula X instead of the new game coming for PS2.The critics say the new Castlevania is pretty bad.
I think Konami should stop trying to do Castlevania in 3D.It doesnot work.GRadius 5 is in 2D it sold pretty well for a old school game. |
Like the Xbox one, do you think there should be a list of essential/classic playstation games? Such as Gran Turismo and all that?
Looks like nobody wants the PSP in North America right now.I didn't even vote.
Well that respresents a small % of people obviously, not even close to the amount of gamers in North America, but it surprises me it did THAT bad in the poll. GameFags is probably the biggest grouping of Sony fanboys on the internet, it blows the mind to believe so few of them have an intrest in the PSP.
*gigglefitsnort*
That's... that's wonderful. Anywho, I see the PSP being popular around launch, then dying down a little bit after. *shrug*. I think a lot of people are starting to dig the DS, and are starting to expect new things from games, instead of updated ports of PS2 games. (Granted, the DS got an updated M64) |
Maybe People are saving money for the next console systems instead of buying a Handheld.Just a guess.
Actually, that's a valid point. Thank God Gamefags dissed the PSP. The is hope for the human race.

I know what E3 is.Most People on the internet know what E3 is.Not your average joe gamer does not.I think cost the for new console systems might be near the 300US or 400 canadian dollar range or more depending how much the companys want for them.just a guess.
I'm not buying PSP.I rather save money for the next gen consoles personally. |
I'm an average joe gamer, and I know what e3 is.
ah, but you're an average joe gamer who talks to us freakish gamers ;). you're an exception to the rule.
One of the very few exceptions ;)
Actually...a lot of average joe gamers know what E3 is. I have a ton of those gamers as friends, and they all know what it is, and without my mentioning it to them.
I played a game for 4 hours one time. That is extreme gaming.

4 hours? More like 4 days. I don't f*ck around. Ever.
Being worthless, and the King of the Lazy Throne, I've thrown well over 24 hours into a game during a single sitting.
