Karpo_007 11-10-2002 03:33 PM

Wel if i could, i would gladlu pay 150$ for the Leonardo cold cast statue. But they wont ship international :(

PWDESAI 11-10-2002 03:37 PM

sorry karp i woulda picked another up for ya, but it's too late now... if i see an extra and i have the money i'll sell it to ya, btw try ebay or mycomicshop.com or even milehighcomics.com they could possibly be selling it when it comes out

Karpo_007 11-10-2002 03:46 PM

When is that?

Chris 11-10-2002 03:53 PM

I think the Leo statue is due out some time this month Karpo, but that may have changed. At latest it will be out before X-Mas. I think you can get it internationally but not directly from the suppliers. My local comic store have said they'll try and get it from some people they know in America (but the price will be a bit higher).

Karpo_007 11-10-2002 03:56 PM

I hope that someone is willing to ship international.

PWDESAI 11-10-2002 11:26 PM

i will keep a look out for you karpo, i can understand why you would want this so much, i know i do
next time, maybe if you send me the money in advance i could ask my comic shop store to order it, then i could send it to you. That's if you want any other turtles, and if no one else will sell em to you. I hate sending stuff when i don't need too, but i've known you for a long time karpo, and wouldn't mind doing so...

Karpo_007 11-11-2002 07:51 AM

Well Im really hoping to find a store that would send it. Afterall if it gets broken on the way i could get a new one.

PWDESAI 11-11-2002 11:09 AM

well if you want insurance, then the post office has to buy you a new one.

Karpo_007 11-11-2002 02:21 PM

I think that some shop is willing to ship here. I will ask around when the time comes.

PWDESAI 11-11-2002 03:15 PM

that's good

They're not a wholesaler, they sell to action figure collectors. They specialize in mint conidition figures and packaging.

Personally I could do with buying a case of the figures. I want two of each of them. One to play with, one to keep. I don't want more than one of the vehicles and stuff though.

Reznorite420 11-12-2002 07:25 PM

After what I've heard about toys not exactly increasing in worth over the years, I'm not so sure I want to waste my money on a second one to take out of the package...of course, I'm only saying that because I don't have a job yet

PWDESAI 11-13-2002 03:05 PM

what're you talking about, toys are extremely expensive over time. Look at the transformers, star wars, he-man, and gijoe. Look at mego or other old action dolls. It really depends on how popular the toy line or toy is...

TMNT should have a price increase after teh new show. I say wait 6 more years and they will get expensive.

MzTheInsomniac 11-13-2002 03:14 PM

yea right now the value is only 15 dollars but in a few years im sure they will be worht around 50 dollars, ok maybe not that much but we will see the worth increase

Skeletoncrew 11-13-2002 03:22 PM

I want the ones in the package for myself, not as some sort of "investment". I just have a thing for "unspoiled" stuff.

azure turtle 11-13-2002 08:21 PM

I love opening up action figs and putting them on display with their weapons/accessories. Though I do have a few I haven't opened, like my 1988 Donatello. ;)

Skeletoncrew 11-13-2002 08:36 PM

I've got a couple Aprils, a movie star Splinter, and a Venus in their packages. Non-TMNT-wise I have a couple LOTR, all of the Army of Darkness 6" figs, an Italian Lisa Simpson, a Star Wars fig, and a Skeleton Warrior. Some I just haven't opened because I'm sort on display space and haven't gotten around to it.

azure turtle 11-13-2002 08:39 PM

Say, speaking of LOTR... I managed to get a Ring Wraith action figure on sale at a KB Toystore. It was only six dollars. :D He stands on my shelf, holding a gigantic sword and gesturing with his other hand. He looks totally creepy, as if he walked right off the movie screen. I like him. :anime:

Skeletoncrew 11-13-2002 08:48 PM

Cool! Ringwraiths rock! I've got the one on the horse...its incredible! KB Toys also rules...I love their sales!

PWDESAI 11-14-2002 05:30 PM

speaking of totally unrelated toy lines
i love masters of the universe. the toys are totally kicking ass, i hope i the turtles will be just tall enough and bulky enough to interact with the motu figs. Leonardo vs. he-man WHO WILL WIN???!!!

Karpo_007 11-14-2002 06:22 PM

Toys dont interact by them self... You really play with toys?

Skeletoncrew 11-15-2002 01:29 AM

I play with toys! :D

HorseTechie 11-15-2002 08:42 AM

*snigger* after what she posted in another thread, yes...

Greed 11-15-2002 03:44 PM

you are some sick puppies

MzTheInsomniac 11-15-2002 04:03 PM

peverts, icky

azure turtle 11-15-2002 07:23 PM

LOL! Hey now... We're not sick or perverted. It all depends on how you interpreted that sentence.

And moving this back on topic, I like toys, too. And yes, I play with them.

Karpo_007 11-15-2002 07:27 PM

Heh! I dont know if it should, but adults playing with toys sounds funny. Collecting i can understand byt playing? I guess everyone has their own hobbies.

azure turtle 11-15-2002 07:31 PM

This world needs adults who love toys. Otherwise, who'd run Playmates? Mattel? Or any of the other big name companies? ;)

Ooh... When you said "adult," were you directing that comment at me? Or just in general? I'm just curious, because no one's ever called me an adult before. I'm still 19! However, some of the others on this board can be considered adults.

Greed 11-15-2002 07:33 PM

ah toys They make the world go round

Karpo_007 11-16-2002 04:16 AM

MzTheInsomniac 11-16-2002 11:45 AM

*grumbles under his breath*

Damn the US for making the legal drinking age 21 instead of 18....

Karpo_007 11-17-2002 01:46 PM

Well thats when we get drivers license too.

Oh...heh....but you might as well say I live in Finland, because I'm 18 and still don't have one, despite the minimum age here in the US being 16...

itsmillertime! 11-17-2002 07:56 PM

Well in Washington and Oregon, you can't have people under 25 in your car for the first six months after getting your license or until you're 18. So it might as well be 18. And you can do everything else but buy alcohol at 18 anyways, so why not - there are people way older than 21 that act like a 17 year old and there are a lot of people who are 18 and act as if they're 30 or so. It's a very complex subject.

Shellfox 11-17-2002 08:00 PM

I still collect, and while I may not play, I do occasionally pull out my new and old Battle Cats, Grimlock, Jim Lee Raph and Tubular Terrodactal and just wonder who would win in a fight

Hmmm...I wonder exactly what it was I posted? However, I was referring to playing with action figures, not battery operated toys.

You know, if you think about it, Roger is kinda like one great big action figure!

Whoo-hoo! Another Portland resident! *Does happy dance*

Ahem. Yes, adulthood is difficult to define. I consider myself an adult legally and emotionally...but I often choose to act in ways that would be considered immature. :tsmile:
