No more superhero Turtles! Yay! At least not on the cover. I wonder why there was a change. Maybe they heard that not too many people were happy with superhero TMNT.

Right, but that's a preview for #8 and the Super Hero Turtle issue is #7, so they're still doing that storyline.

As for the guy in the pic, I believe that's the Cha Ocha dude Raphael was pointing to in #6

This makes it almost certain that what ever happens in issue #7 isn't permanent.

Maybe #8 will end with the Turtles waking up to find the entire issue was a dream, and they still have their powers from #7.

I dont know. And while Lawsson is not that good at drawing humans, He sure can draw the TMNT.

The humans look weird, specially the mouths of em :goofygri: but he sure can draw the turtles!

Oh and i like the new mirage foot soldiers more than the old mirage foot soldiers more...a lot more.
They kind of remind me of the new gi joe snake eyes action figure.

If it were anyone else's drawing I might say that the guy has gotten it broken one or three times, but it's Lawson, that's just the way he draws. That's why I'm taking classes to expand my art skills, don't wanna be "unbalenced" or "specialized" like Lawson is. It has it's good points, like how he draws the Turtles (Rawr!) but I hate being pigeon-holed like that.

Lets hope he will evolve. :wink:

I'm sure he will. Compare his pencils now to his during Tales of TMNT and the "City at War" storyline. It's like he's always changing his style.

I know. But I have always liked Lawssons style. He did a good work on the Tales series.

I'm surprised about how Lawson's style seemed to has gotten less defined. When he started out drawing for Mirage, and then did the City at War series, his style was pretty good. The turtles, bulidings, trees, etc looked great. And the humans, like Casey, Gab, April, Nobody, and Rat King where not so exaggerated either. I liked it so much I started drawing my Turtles and trees the way he did.

Then he took up Vol. two, and I was like.. gah - what happened? My guess was that the more stuff he has to draw by a given deadline, the worse it gets. :/ That, or he really isn't to good with drawing humans. I've read a couple of his Paleo dino series, and they looked really goood. But there aren't any humans in it! ;)

Yeah. Well his humans aren't so good in the Mirage either, But he can draw everything else good. Especially the TMNT.

Lawson did the movie adaptions for I and II. I liked his style in those comics better than his current style. His turtle drawings are good, but I agree that his humans could use a change.

Well Lawsson also pencilled The Return To New York. I like it very much.

I agree. In "Return to New York", his Turtle pencils are excellent. But besides that, they just plain suck!!! The only true TMNT artists are Eastman,
Laird and Micheal Dooney.

Well Lawsson pencilled city at war too, and volume 2. Human characters are his only weakness.

What do you think of Mark Bode, A. C. Farley, and Eric Talbot?

Mike Dooney, although I like his work, is not a 'true' tmnt artist. he has a far too 'superhero'-y style. the tmnt artwork is based upon expressing certain thematic imagery and feelings, and dooney's work is too 'light' and 'heroic' for that. talbot, farley, eastman, and laird are the best in my opinion.

I have a TMNT Graphic Novel and it's drawn by Doney. I like the art but it's not a good as Lawssons.

Oh, I forgot about them. They're really good, too.

i think lawson intentionally draws this way even his tmnt aren't perfect and i think that's what he's going for an imperfect drawing. the only thing that bothers me is the lips on his females, aside from that i like his style.


who was that guy in issue 6 that had a grudge with leo?

i think ac farley is an amazing artist even wen he doesnt draw the tmnt
