different costumes
 

i looked at the old toys on the website and there are like 20 different costumnes for each turtle i wish they would star doin that for the new seires even though the new series does have different costumes they need some more

Apparently with the way the new show and TMNT as a whole is now, it wouldn't make any sence to put the guy's in costumes like these........

Even If they did anyone who buy's them would complain anyway.

it would be fun if they made a collection of the turtles wearing suits and hats like in the first tmnt movie you see raphael wearing a brown suit with a hat.
well they have maybe done that before.

I made a thread about that ages ago, I told exactly the accessories and everything.

i also think it would be awsome if they got to wear famous horror or action movies clothes.

like if raphael has the clothes to the terminator or hannibal lector.
if michelangelo has the clothes to jason or freddy krueger
if donatello has the clothes to frankenstein or darth vader
if leonardo has the clothes to dr jekyll and hyde or dracula


im sure this one is done in some way also before cuz i remember a friend of mine had a frankenstein in donatello or leonardo but it was pretty cool looking.

and april was the bride of frankenstein.

Raph as a Roman Soldier (Ninja Knight Raphael... uh he's not a knight really.. he's a Centurion! :P He looks really cute tho with the hat on. :lol: )

No just part of the "Wacky Action" series, his "action" was that he crawled when you wound him up. The costume was like chainmail with a bandana around his head.

id love to see master splinter in his ninja outfit that he uses in the archies tmnt comics. i think it was in the number 26-29 number of comics that he used this samurai/ninja outfit and havent seen him use it since.

Me too, when the "Shogun" series came out in like '94 I was excited to see what splinter would look like, but this is what we got...........

april doesent change her clothes to much in the classic tmnt show, but in archies comics she does uses some other clothes. and she also uses a ninja outfit in one or another comic when the gang is in japan or china.

shes nice in that outfit, it would be nice if the new toy collection from playmates did make a ninja april og samurai april.
and i still hoping for a ninjara or maligna toy action figure from playmates, but i dont think they never going to come out.

Yeah with the new show being dominant of anything retro things don't look good.

you meant the micer robot from happy meal? cuz the first picture wouldent open. i remember back in 1992 i got a shredder toy in my happy meal.
after that i tried to collect them all i think you could collect all the turtles splinter, april, shredder and krang. but i just got shredder.

Over here in '90 Burger King had magnets that had littlemovable thing there was one of Leo, Mike, Don, Raph, all four together, and shredder.

They also had cups you could get in like '90 or '91.

VHS's in '90 or '91.

Bike gear in '93.

yeah the late 80s and early 90s were the turtle mania years.

Yes the TMNT were at Disney from '90 to '94 I believe.

cool, i have never seen any photos of the turtles in disneyland.
hm 90-94 the show wasent that popular in 94 and they shut down the turtle attraction, dont know if thats the truth. the popularity on the turtles stopped in 95 after that the biker mices from mars was the new big hit.

The Power Rangers did mark defeat for the TMNT too. Yes sad but true. :D

as far as i can remember the rival or the other popular action cartoons that came out when turtles was big.

the toxic crusadors - based on the b-move the toxic avenger from 1984.
i used to have the dog with his long tongue and the bad guy in the cartoon show.

power ranger - i was never any fan of it i used to despise it. almost everyone else in my class start liking the power rangers and throw turtles to the side.
but just months after power rangers was the nr 1 action heroes the biker mice from mars did get to the throne.

but for me tmnt will always be the greatest show for kids in the 90s.

I remember the Toxic Crusader's only because I had the action figures made by Playmates, the same company that made TMNT.

I watched the First season of Power Rangers, but I got bored with it quick. I also had some PR fig's.

i didnt know that playmates was making the toxic crusaders toys to, but they made a lot of money on it.

toxic crusaders did not last for long i think they gave up after one or two seasons and the comics also stopped at late 1992.

maybe playmates are planning to get a new version of the toxic crusaders on tv or in action figures.

There was a game for NES too.

Some of the molds for the vehicles were those of already existing TMNT vehicles.

that skate board is almost simular to the skate board the turtles had.

remember i had a turtle skateboard with raphaels sai knife in pink.

woaaaw big thanks i never have seen so much old tmnt toys.
i still tries to recover the loss of my entire tmnt collection cuz when i moved into the city in 97 all my toys were wasted by my mom god i hated her for that. but now i can hopefully find the old toys that i always wanted to find.

i like some of the new action figures but for me the real thing was the old toys so many different charachters and so many vehicles and bases.

i have searched on so many sites on the web and not finding any good web shop with the old toys just the new toys.
so to me this is big im like a child in a candy store.
for me this great site is like a hidden treasure.

I felt the same way when I first got to it.

I actually ordered of it like four times and the stuff gets to you super fast and the people there really know what their doing.

thats fantastic news for me i live in norway and when i first ordered some comics from the official tmnt site it took almost 7 weeks to arrive. it felt like a whole year had gone before i got the comics.
now im going to shop like hell.
they have anything here im mean this is truly heaven for old tmnt toys and well everyone that loves tmnt.
