Synopsis of chapter three: After Splinter's premonition, Leo, Raph, Don, and Oni go out to try and find the threat first. They run into Randi, who's being chased by a group of mutants. They also have a run in with the Rat King. The voice in Oni's mind finally made itself known by taking over Oni's body, attacking the others. With Randi's help, she trapped it. They all head back to the lair for some much-needed rest.

Leo stepped into the lair. "Master Splinter? Mike?"

Oni asked Raph to help her over to the couch so she could sit down.

Randi followed in after them and sighed deeply as Leonardo called for Master Splinter and Mike, whomever they were, and stayed close to the farthest wall. Her mind raced with calculations of how possible it was to meet mutants out side of the islands. The possiblity of there being one Mutant was 1 to 6. Billion. The possiblilty of there being two was... Randi couldn't even think of what the number would be called... and for those two mutants to meet... It was mind boggling! And here, in New York, where one person was like a needle in a huge hay stack, she had bumped into four. And if she was right, Mike and Master Splinter were Mutants too...

Splinter walked out from his room. "I am glad you are home, I was worried. You need to tell me what happened." He looked to Oni and Raphael, both of whom looked a little worse for wear. He then looked towards Randi. "And I see we have another guest."

"Yeah, but... other than the possession Oni had, nothing happened really," Raph explained to Splinter as he led Oni over the couch for her to sit down.

Splinter twitched his nose. "Possession? I assume you defeated the monster."

Oni sighed. "Kind of, with Randi's help. It... It's still in here," she tapped her temple, "but trapped. I can destroy it, but it would take time."

Splinter nodded. He was aware of the process, although he had never witnessed it because it had to be done alone, over the course of several days.

Oni spoke again before he could say anything. "I'm truly sorry for all the trouble this caused. It said that it would take me to find others like me. I wanted to believe it so badly, I guess I didn't think. I had no idea it wanted to destroy you until it was too late."

"If that was its true goal, it would have found a way eventually." Splinter said.

Leo patted her shoulder. "It's all right, really, no one blames you. But do you know why it wants to destroy us?"

Oni shook her head.

Raph crossed his arms, "Well, it's gonna die trying." He was still feeling big of himself for not letting this demon controlling Oni's body have the upper hand. But it took Raph longer to realize what he said.

"I mean, *it* is... not you, Oni," he looked at her with apologetic look in his eyes.

Oni smiled at Raph. "I know what you mean, Raphael."

Randi stayed where she was near the wall and nodded to Master Splinter respectfully. She had no idea what to do in such a situation like this, her mind still raced with possibilites of action that Colonel Marx and his small troup would take.

Leonardo looked around. "Where's Mike?"

"I have not seen him since you left," Splinter said. "But I have been meditating."

Raph itched once at the scratch on his face, then sat down with a plop on the couch next to Oni.

He decided to leave it to Leo to keep Splinter company, and lookied over to Randi. "We don't bite, come on over and make yourself at home."

Randi merely sighe in response before moving to the lay-z-boy next to the couch and closing her eyes half way.

"Any clues?" Colonel Marx snarled to one of his subordinates.
The mutant soldier shook his head and replied, "Sir, we lost track of her; but, if I may speak freely?"
The mutant Rat frowned at the other mutant with fierce eyes. "Go on."
"Sir, as being one that had trained under her," He replied, "I believe that she may still be in the sewers. Hiding and waiting us out."
Marx smirked. "Hide, she can do... wait us out, she won't. CONTINUE SEARCHING!"

Leonardo stood off to the side with Splinter. "So what are we going to do?"

"About the demon?" Splinter shook his head. "Nothing. It is up to Oni how she is going to deal with it."

"Randi also mentioned a group of mutants were after her. I told Don to check the security systems. You were right, sensei, we should have stayed here."

Splinter touched his son's arm. "If you had, the demon still would have taken over Oni's body. And you would not have met Randi. Everything happens for a reason, Leonardo, remember that."

Leo lowered his head slightly. "I'm going to try and find Mike." He went off to Mike's room, hoping to find his brother there.

(( So is Mike gonna RP here ... or his he not interested anymore? ))

((I have no clue. This is a lot easier when players give advanced notice that they won't be here for long periods. Mikey, if you read this, do you still want to play?))

(( looks around -- yah know, I don't think he is now... ))

OOC: Okay, we need a new Mike. Anyone up for it? Under the circumstances, I can't give him away permanently, just until Michaelangelo comes back, but you'd play him until we got word. I'd play him myself, but I don't trust myself with it. I tried to write a part but it turned quite, uh, slashy.

(*Thinks for a moment* Mike acts like a male version of K.Lynn on a sugar high... he loves to cook (From some stories I've seen) acts happy but thats only his exterrior... I guess I could try to play him for a while. Hell I play him in other RPs)

Leo knocked on Mike's bedroom door. "Hey, Mikey, you in there?"

"Mrr?" Mike replied from inside his room, "Yeah..." he murmured and stood up from where he had been sitting and opened the door. "You guys back already?"

Randi continued to sit where she was with her eyes half closed. Part of her was thankfull that Leonardo had asked her to come, but another part of her was even more nervous than before.

(( Mikey's soooo fun to RP, esp when on a sugar high! ))

"Have one," Raph came up behind Randi and set a cold can of cook of her shoulder. (he's holding the rest of the six-pack in his other hand)

(I'll assume you meant Coke :razz:)

"Gah!" Randi's eyes shot open as jumped slightly from the sudden cold feeling on her shoulder; she swallowed as she forced her breathing back to normal, "Thank you... next time, please... warn me before you do that..."

"No, we're still out," Leo smirked. "Always the observant one, aren't you, Mike? Want to come meet our new guest?"

Oni smiled a little at Randi's reaction, even though she knew she would have reacted the same way. It was obvious that Randi had a lot on her mind, and so did Oni. There was no easy way for her to get rid of the demon trapped in her mind, and she couldn't just ignore it, and risk it getting loose again. A simple exorcism might drive it into one of the others. No, there was only one way, and she needed to talk to Splinter about it.
"Excuse me," she said as she got up and walked over to where Splinter was sitting. "I need to speak with you."
Splinter nodded once and followed her into her room.

Mike smirked, a new guest! Some one new to meet! "Sure!" he replied, "Who're they?" He asked as he moved into the living room just in time to see Randi yelp in surprise as Raph put the coke on her shoulder.
His eyes widened and a mischievious smile grew onto his face; where one female was good, two were better. "Whats her name?" He whispered to Leo.

"Randi," Leo whispered back. "Be careful, she doesn't seem all that friendly."

A sly smile crept across Raph's face. Looks like they don't teach the military much in the way of ninja awareness. Or she was bothered by something. "Wull, if you had been alert, you would have known I was behind ya."

Raph pulled another COKE can from the rest and set the rest on the table to drink his.

Leo glared at Raph. "That wasn't nice Raph," he said, getting himself a soda. "Randi, this is our brother, Michaelangelo."

In Oni's room, she and Splinter sat to discuss how she was going to proceed.
"I'm not sure I can do this," she said.
"You must." Splinter patted her hand. "And we will help in any way we can."
Oni took a deep breath. "It's going to take a few days to acomplish, can you explain to them?"
"Of course." Splinter stood and quietly left the room as Oni slipped back into her mind.

Raph just shot Leo a Look before taking a long drink from his Coke and belching loudly.

"Not all that friendly?" Mike replied back to his brotherjust before Leo introduced him.

Randi's teeth clenched at Raphael'scomment about being alert but said nothing in response. Randi glanced back at Leonardo and Michaelangelo for a moment to acknowledge them before saying, "'allo."
"Hi!" He smiled at her happily only recieve a stern frown in return she then glanced at Raphael with the same expression and quickly assumed that she found what Raphael did to be annoying.
"Exscuse my brother, he has absolutely no manners."
"He's better than some males I know." Randi replied and finally opened the Coke, "None of them would have even thought of offering me a coke."

Raph raised an eyeridge in response to Mike's remark about his manners. "And I suppose you're any better?"

Leonardo did the only thing he could in this situation, and that was to ignore his brothers. He took a sip of Coke and looked around. "Hey, where'd Splinter go? And Oni?"

Splinter walked back into the room. "I am right here, Leonardo. As for Oni, that is something I must discuss with you all."

Michaelanglo smirked at Raph, deciding he'd get a comment on Raph later. When Splinter came out at the mention of Oni, he said, "Is she goanna be okay?"
Randi kept quiet, she could easily guess what the problem was.

A pair of soldiers walked slowly through the tunnels near by. "Of all the places for Tezlof to hide..." One of them whispered, "Why a sewer?"
"I dunno." The second replied, "Why does that insane turtle do anything?"
"Stratagy?" The first dumbly asked.
The second frowned at him, and decided not to get into an arguement on how dumb his partener really was. "Uh-yeah."

"I hope so, Michaelangelo," Splinter replied. "I do not know if you were informed, but Oni has been possessed by a powerful demon. And although it is trapped, it is still a danger. She must undergo a ritual to banish the demon, so it will not hurt anyone again. It will take several days."

Wee Little Roachie was hungry, so Roachie creeps from under the couch to investigate on any new crumbs these big greeen fellows might have dropped.

He waved his annenae about, sensing the air. It was sweet, and kinda like that bubbly syrup in the metal cans.

Roachie was a little thirsty too... and scurried about the floor in search of any spilt drops.

Mike's fae showed an amount of worry about this, but from what he could gather, Oni would be fine. "Oh, well... okay."

As Randi took a sip of her drink, she happened to look down and see a huge roach coming her way. She covered her mouth as she coughed and pulled her legs up onto the seat. She told herself that she was not going to scream... as long as it didn't touch her, she'd be fine.... right?

Leo noticed Randi's odd reaction. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Raph suddenly sat up, looking around as if Randi was reacting to those problems she was taking about.

Lil Wee Roachie suddenly stops to sense his surroundings. Those hovering green towers are moving to fast for his liking again. He suddenly turned to the right and stops again, waving his long straight antennae.

Randi sat in the Lay-Z-Boy, sitting slightly cross legged, "No." she said calmly, "I'm perfectly fine."
"I agree." Mike said, only to recieve an angry look from the female turtle. "What? I'm agreeing with you."
"Were you dropped before you were hatched?"
Mike blinked at her, Leo was right, she wasn't really nice at all. He smiled, maybe he could get around that. "Wouldn't know, can't remember that far."
Randi rolled her eyes, trying not to look at the roach on the floor. "Never mind."
Mike sat on the couch seat closest to Randi, "So, where ya from?"
"No man's land." Randi replied, this was what she said to all that asked where she was from because it was more or less true, and she wasn't giving away any real information.
Mike blinked for a moment, unsure of what she meant, "Ooh, you mean you come from some place full of women???"
"Uh... Yeah." Randi said, watching the roach from the corner of her eye.
"Then how do you have kids?" He asked jokingly.
"... shouldn't you be asking some one else about the birds and the bees?"

Leo listened carefully to Mike and Randi's conversation. He wanted to ask her his own questions, but he had a feeling that he wouldn't get very far. True, Oni had been a bit closed as well, but Randi seemed downright hostile towards them. He started going over everything he'd learned about her in the short time they'd known her, trying to fit things together.

"Damn.. I thought I was the only one with the attitude," Raph remarked.
