Male. Though there seem to be plenty of perverted fangirls in the online TMNT community (maybe not this board in particular).

Of course there's perverted fangirls on this board! :P

Though, I'm sure there's plenty of guys who would love to "play" with April if given the oppertunity.

This thread is bizarre. You're discussing something that can be easily verified in someone's Public Profile.

When the normal non-fan thinks of who a TMNT fan would be, I think most say male, because of the action figures and comics, but that shouldn't matter it's obviouse that girls read the comics and play with the figures. :P

I know that when this board was very young, the female members greatly outnumbered the male members. And we took full advantage of that. :evilgrin:

Neat...I knew there were a decent number of us women here, but we're really not that far behind the guys ;) Nice. People look at me weird for being a girl and knowing TMNT...and even weirder when I know more about the comics and TMNT in general than the guys do--although they own more action figures than me!

People should be more open-minded when it comes to women liking certain things that are considered 'male' territory.

...although, I was never a big April fan... I never really wanted to be her when roleplaying stuff, but there weren't really any other good girl characters >_< I flatout dislike her in the new series.

Me neither. I think the coolest she got was in SAINW because she was a rebel leader instead of a ditz. And in the old toon she was an idiotic damsel in distress. The first movie is my favorite incarnation of her.

And I'm a dudette. Though I draw guys better...and roleplay 'em better, too. And yet I'm feminine enough IRL. *shrug*

@NeoBix: Whoa now, I wouldn't say I know more about TMNT than the guys HERE.... I meant people I meet in RL ;) or other non-TMNT forums, if TMNT comes up.

I liked her in the old series because she may have gotten captured, but she was verbally tough. But she repeated the same lines over and over and over again, gah! TMNT1 April was brilliant and I love her as a character but again, not really someone I associate enough to want to play as. And I REALLY don't like the new series April. Sometimes she's okay, mostly she's annoying.

Sice April seems to be the topic at the moment my favorite incarnation is Movie 1.
