Would you have a problem if turtles died in a fanwork?
Just curious. Would that really annoy you seeing a turtle kick the bucket? Or interesting to see it happen, ie (same as it never was).
|
I really wouldn't mind. I'd be upset a bit, but hey, life's life. Death is always an interesting topic to use in art. And there are plenty of other fanarts where they live happily ever afterwards...
Errr... do you consider to kill them in your MNT flash? :ohwell: (just curious) |
Hell, I kill them on a regular basis in my fics, Like 70% percent of the time the story has nothing to do with the turtles. Im a Shredder writer :D
|
Ehh...death happens...i say go for it...besides it doesn't happen too often in fan works so it could be a refreshing change of pace...
|
Death is probably more readily accepted than say giving a charactera dibilitating injury. That would be probably mor eheinous.
|
or turning one of them into a cyborg... :dead:
|
Or introdusing a long lost female 5th turtle.
|
It wouldn't bother me any, as long as it made sense and was done well. If you get the aftershocks done just right, it'll be great.
|
It wouldn't bother me neither. As long as it has a purpose of accomplishment.
|
Errr... And if one killed another?
|
Then, what's the point of being a good guy? :P
All the pain, battles, wars and violence they've overcame for peace, and to have one of them become evil? That's kind of lame and expected. But then again, what if was it more personal...? Extremely personal on a emotional and perhaps psychotic level? :-? That would be a heartstopper. :| |

:P
How about...acceptance? Trust? Loyalty? What if it was an accident? What if it was a mental message that forced one of them to do it? Perhaps anxiety? Something could have scared one of them to do it. Or jealousy? Perhaps not, because as tight-knitted this family is, envy should be the last thing to make one of them kill one another. But you never know... |
I guess it would sorta bother me. Not that I'd mind one dying, but it would definitely effect me. Like, I'd feel the heartbreak the victim's brother would feel, because I've sorta gotten to know them as much as the others have. I'll be heartbroken, no doubt, but death is the only guarantee with life, so I guess it makes sense that one dies/some die, it's a part of life... and it's reality.

I heard that Casey Jones dies in the new 2007 TMNT movie.
Probably just a rumor, but you never know. |

As for a TMNT dying, nah I wouldn't really have a problem, mybe depends on "how" it happens, but then again probably not. |
Weapon X let's just hope that Raph doesn't die in the new movie or the whole audience will be filled with weeping fan girls and we won't be able to hear the rest of the movie.
|
The odds of the any of the TMNT dying in the new movie is slim and none, but they may pull a fast one on us.
|
True... it might make it a little too dramatic and emotional for the 7-year-olds in the audience.
...damn 7-year-olds... :P |
Yeah, all those kids that know nothing about the Mirage series. :P
|
There's no way that any of the TMNT are gonna get killed off in the movie. On TV, period.
The comics on the other hand, is where anything can happen. |
lol, exactamundo.
|
Meh. I killed one of them in a drawing. I guess surprisingly for every one, it was Leo, my favorite one that I killed.
Call me a sadist, but I find death (especially with a person who means alot to you) fasinating. The death it's self; The emotions; the cause of it; The effect it takes on everyone and everything. It's all interesting in an odd way. |

Also to think about--the Simpsons, which has had good "serious" episodes at various times in the past, could not pull off a good death episode, whereas South Park, a show that portrayed the death of an 8-year-old child every episode for years was able to make him pass on finally in the stem-cell research episode in a way that made viewers care about him. Even an unimportant character, when in the right hands, can be treated respectfully at death. With an important one, the writer needs to be that much more careful with it, though-- it's the difference between Laird killing off Splinter the way he did in issue 10 or having had a tacky explosion/ murder mystery surrounding his death-- or what if Robyn had died for some reason? Would we have been able to care? Maybe... I'm getting tired, but one last death-- Dack in Star Wars Episode V, anyone? I mean, we didn't know the guy, but I dunno... I've seen the movie once, many years ago, and I never forgot that death. |
there's a story that is one of my favorites but guess who dies? yes Raph.

It doesn't effect me if I see on a fanart. Only if I read about Leo, Don, Mike, Raph or Master Splinter dying then it does.

Haha... No I don't particular like to see any of my heros die but I wouldn't go that far, I'd hope someone would smack some sense into me no matter how much I love a character...lol. I'd be like what the H$ll, but if it made the movie or writing good then you gotta do what you gotta do... Look how much everyone talked about SAINW. I swear it had to be the episode that got the most attention. It's all about shock value sometimes. I'd have to agree that I doubt we would see any main characters deaths in the new one. You know whats the kicker though... The next Harry Potter movie is gonna be PG-13 and TMNT is still be gonna be PG? AM I right...? Sigh**** |

I always thought any of the tmnt dying would always be an interesting idea. I've even made a drawing that Mikey died.
I find it disturbing that any of the four would kill the other. I don't know why but I only see Leo and Raph killing each other. No maybe a big fight but never kill each other. If any one Should kill A or ALL the turtles it should be this guy. :shredder: |

Niether would I sister :tgrin:,niether would I.
|
I wouldn't mind as long as your not planning on killing Mikey.
