Have any turtles been shot?
 

Because in the movies, cartoons and most likely the comics the 'human world' either doesnt know about them or doesnt want to. But if the cops like in the original series thought they were a 'menace' why didnt they shoot them? Or did they? Did they ever got shot in the comics?

Yeah. They have taken a few bullets in the comics.

I remember Leonardo getting shot in one of the comics, but the bullet deflected off his shell.

In the Image comic, Donatello got shot up like Denzel Washington in Training Day.

Wasn't pretty. :|

Yup. Raph got shot in Tales vol.2 n°12 by french cops, and Shadow had to take the bullet out of his shoulder.

One thing thats comes to mind is Vol.1 number one, where the "Purple Dragons" are shooting at them, ofcourse they never get hit. :P

I really need to get into those comics. I heard somewhere that Raph got shot in france. Interesting, if they get shot wouldn't they need to go to a hospital though? Or did they take out the bullets themselves :|

Jaf just said above that Shadow had to take the bullet out of Raph's shoulder.

In the other ones though? Or does Donatello die when he gets shot?

Well in the Image series Don gets turned into a Cyborg after getting shot up, which was mentioned by Ben above.

Turned into a cyborg? Thats pretty screwed up :| Now I understand when people were talking about turning a turtle into a cyborg is wrong heh

Yes, the image series was pretty crazy the guy's got pretty screwed up, except for Mike If I remember right.

What happens to Leo? Please dont tell me he is turned into a robot too :|

No he gets his one of his hands cut off, cant remember which one. :P

Leo gets his hand bitten off by a dragon, and he fuses his wrist with a katana blade, I think.

Raph gets the left side of his face fried.

Mikey is the lucky one.

every turtle in some shape or form has gotten injured in every medium that I can think of. Even the in the classic toon.I distinctly remember Donatello getting so hurt that he was rendered unconscience in "Night of the Drk Turtle" episode.And Bebob and Rocksteady as well as the foot soldiers have shot at the turtles on numerous occsions.

The turtles in the new toon and comics have been hurt so many times that I can't even be bothered to list them all.

But over all I think the turtle who gets injured the most in any medium is Leonardo and the one who gets injured the least is Michaelangelo :ohwell: .

Don't ask me why this is but it is true none the less. The only thing I can think of as to why Leonardo gets injured more than the others is because, him being the leader the bad guys must feel that taking out the leader will cripple the rest of them 8)

But why exactly Michaelngelo is injured the least is some thing I can't figure out exactly. He is just as involved as the rest of the turtles in battle. And he is usually made to be the decoy most of the time which is a dangerous job to handle and the potencial of getting hurt is pretty high and yet he generally doesn't :|.

The only time I can recall Mike getting hurt is when he got hit by a truck in Volume 4 (volume 3 mirage).

I guess Mike is just lucky.

No, Mike is agile and quick. He's more of a dodger than a endurance fighter.

I guess he rather avoid the most contact as possible. Why else would he do the most flips and other acrobatic moves? :D

That I rather disagree with. All the turtles are agile and quick and athletic. I wouldn't say that Michaelangelo is more so than the others. ANd he definatly is an endurance fighter. I've seen him take mutple hits with out going down.

No I meant hits that actually connected with his body. And to answer your question I think it was like five or seven.

I didn't mean to say that he wasn't a endurance fighter. He is, but because of the fact that he gets hit the least of the TMNT next to Donatello, it's hard to see that.

Michelangelo is a tough guy, but he doesn't have to take a punch to prove it, nor does he want to.

This is just a opinion, though. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Heh and remember I am looking for the comics so I can know more about the turtles in all aspects. I have a thread in the buying/selling/trading if you have any duplicates you'd like to sell :D

Plus the turtles have...shells so i think it would take more than one punch to the chest to knock them down.

He gets hurt pretty bad in multiple occasions in Mirage vol.1, like in n°3 when a foot soldier practically slice his arms off, or in McCollum & Anderson's wonderul Twilight of the Ring (n°42), when he is the first one to fall to the Adversary and presumed dead by his brothers. Oh, and in Archie's TMNT Adventures, he gets blinded by a cocktail molotov in Jerusalem during the Animus Wars, which leads to the «Blindsight» two parts story, where he is captured and tortured by the U.S. governement.

Come on! His fate is the worst! Getting paired with that lame excuse for a female mutant character Horridus :dead: Now, that's pretty far from Kala the Neutrino!

Yeah, Mike was definitely about the first turtle to get really injured when his arm was sliced. This also crippled him to some degree when he grabbed a pipe, slipped, and crushed an Utrom control panel.

Mikey was crippled? :( I thought they said he didn't get hurt at all.

I never really read much of the Image series on the official site, so I can't really comment on Mike's girl friend from that series. But wasn't she kind of...I don't know metally slow or something. And Just what kind of mutant was she? And what was so bad about her that you think she was terriable :-?

I notice that Michaelangelo get hurt an awful lot in the Archies comics, he is generally the first to go down in battle. He isn't a very strong fighter in the archies like his other counter-parts are.

He doesn't get hurt often in most mediums but he does occasionally get wounded. He just doesn't get hurt as often or as baddly as the other in the comics and New toon. And he wasn't permently crippled, infact he wasn't really crippled at all, his injury just hindered him from be able to fight as well as he should have been I believe.

From what I remember of Sara’s origin, she’s an alien, who had been implanted into a human female. When she was born, the parents freaked, thinking that she was a punishment for having sex outside marriage. So they locked her in their basement or something. She was simply unsocialized and so her mental development was stunted. She did seem nice enough, though. *hoping she hasn’t completely butchered the story*

Yeah, as I remember it, she was just a case of arrested development. When someone mentioned to Mikey that she was "retarded" he defended her.

I really need to start reading those comics, heck I barely know whats being talked about most of the time here heh. So she was an alien or human? That part didn't really make sense to me when you said she was born and they thought it was gods punishment to them for having premarital sex. :-?

Her "parents" were abducted by aliens, and her "mother" was implanted with the alien baby. Later, the "mother" gave birth to the alien baby. When that happened, they assumed that they'd been cursed/punished, since their baby was so monstrous.

Ah ok. Thanks for clearing that up, it seemed a little too strange heh. I'd be pretty freaked out if that came out of me though too :|
