Jo269976 09-05-2005 10:32 AM

i thought that was the worst of the three.... but still good :D  :)

Weapon X 09-05-2005 10:38 AM

If you look past the horrible looking suits/puppeteering, it's not bad at all.

What exactly was it about the story?

Jo269976 09-05-2005 10:56 AM

Yeah, i just don't like the aspect of the Turtles going back in time :teek:
but other than that it's an okay movie! :tcool: :tgrin: :tpizza:

Weapon X 09-05-2005 11:18 AM

It was basically a way of sqweezing a last few bucks out of the fad while it was starting to fade away into the mid '90's, so they thought of something faast and simple, something that a 5 year old probably wouldn't put too much thought into.

Jo269976 09-05-2005 11:23 AM

yeah, they kinda killed them off.... they shoulda made it end with a BANG!
Spoiler:
But it was a shock when Mikey nearly got caught in the past and gone forever!

I doubt you needed to put that in a spoiler box. :P

I didn't really like how they ended it as a whole, they have Splinter act like an ass, April and Casey laugh at god knows what, and the guy's do alittle dance, it just didn't seem like a good "ending".

Jo269976 09-05-2005 11:35 AM

Yeah, i agree, i didn't really want Shredder to come back to clech, they should have batteled some guy... Krang! with a near Apocalypse machine, E.G - Dimension X portal and the Turtles get sucked in at the end and stuck there and maybe another movie takes place showing what happens to them... of course they escape, also a main character dies! (not one of the turtles) like Casey or April (this would be a 12 (UK) or PG-13 (USA) )

Weapon X 09-05-2005 11:52 AM

I cant see them bringing Krang or anyother character from the cartoon universe into the movies, I mean without Shreddder, having Krang in a movie by himself seems pointless, they could have gotten away with Bebop and Rocksteady in Secret of the ooze, and have Proff. Perry reveal himself to be a Utrom, but thats more of a throw back to the Mirage comic. It's hard to think of a solid Idea for a TMNT sequel, part two's wasn't bad, there were just little things that somewhat ruined the experience, the plot for TMNT 3 wasn't that unbelievable either, I mean it's a story about mutant turtles, your not gonna get oscar material here. So I guess what Im trying to say is that they could have just not made any sequels, the first movie was a perfect as it could be and there were no real questions at the end, the Shredder was presumed dead, atleast thats what I thought, and they saved the city, but you knew there was going to be sequels, so no reason to complain really.

Jo269976 09-05-2005 12:14 PM

:D Yeah.. i'll go with you on that one X  :)

Weapon X 09-05-2005 12:37 PM

Felt like finally getting all that out of my system.

TMNT II could have been about Baxter and the mousers, or the Tricereton/Utrom adventure, and TMNT III (if they waited a year) could have been "City At War" (which came out at same time as TMNT, hence the year-waiting).

Oops, when I read it I thought it said not wanting Casey to be in the movie instead, yeah hell yeah I want Casey in part 2.

MrPliggins 09-05-2005 02:19 PM

Weapon X 09-05-2005 02:52 PM

I think the earliest I've watched one was probably back in July, I put the first on in at like 2:30 am and it was over at 4 something.

Dragnskull 09-05-2005 03:13 PM

Yep, thats exactly the reason too.

Hannurdock 09-06-2005 07:52 PM

I rewrote TMNT 1 to make it an adult version, but I still love the original script. Its funny, light but still retains characterisation. TMNT 2 is just as good to me. And I love TMNT 3, especially when Mikey saves Yoshi! My favourite bit!

The last film I watched was TMNT 2. To get some quotes for these forums LOL! Then realised there were just too many good quotes and gave up. I'd be posting the entire movie if I didn't stop.

I've only seen TMNT 1, and I'm due for a rewatch. I may watch TMNT 2 someday, but I don't think I'll bother with TMNT 3.

Weapon X 09-12-2005 01:12 PM
