Pet Thread

Oki, as an animal lover I was just curious to see what pets everyone has.

I have five pets. Master Splinter would love it, they are all of the rodent variety.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b6...k/Badger03.jpg
Badger is coming up to a year old. He is gentle, amiable and always sticks his nose out of the bedding in his little mouse house. He is a fancy mouse - black and white. Very cute :)

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b6...ock/Lester.jpg
Lester is Badger's brother. They live together, sleep together and whup each other's ass when they get out of line. Lester is more bouncy, springy and alert. He is a beige and light brown fancy mouse.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b6...k/Rhubarb3.jpg
Rhubarb is a rat with a big heart. She is a few months old, fully grown, and the light of my life. She is extremely athletic and bounds around my room.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b6...ck/custard.jpg
Shyer than her bouncy sister Rhubarb, Custard is a joy to have sitting on your lap when you are watching TV. She is a kindly little creature and licks you to bits. She is my little laprat.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b6...k/Avatar09.jpg
My baby boy Misty. Misty is the most amiable hamster you are ever going to meet. He licks you, likes to run all over you, and climbs the bars like Tarzan! No hamster could be cuter. He's a little dream.

Just one of the several cats my parents have at their house. This big guy is the meanest cat I have ever had, you can't even touch him without getting bitten. I love him none the less.

GK Punk 09-07-2005 02:50 PM

here is 3 of my cats:

This is Artemis, my youngest back home.
http://www.showtime-synergy.com/artie.jpg
This is Simon, the second cat I ever had:
http://www.showtime-synergy.com/simon2.jpg
This is Gabriel, my first cat. I brought her home after some jerkoffs were talking about throwing her in the pool to see if she could get out on her own, or drown. (I was 13 or so)
http://www.showtime-synergy.com/gabe2.jpg

That's Gabriel's bed that simon is sleeping in. He sometimes takes it over when she's playing or whatever.

I have 3 cats here in Texas, Tuna, Gally, and Bettie Page. I'll get pics of them up later.

Anarky 09-07-2005 03:32 PM

Okay, this is Jay. Actually he's called J.J. but he's Jay for whatever reason. He also responds to "Mutt" and "Disgusting", I don't know where that came from though...

And Hannurdock, could it be that one of your hamsters is green?

LOL! Nope, just the lighting. Actually, in a way my hamster is green. He is a very non-polluting little creature. The rats actually smell terrible, LOL! I now know where the expression comes from - smell a rat. They need constant cleaning out, and their ponging is damaging the atmosphere of my bedroom!

My hamster is a pure white syrian. He's had a stroke recently, but he's bounced back true to form. Can't get enough of the good life.

I love the pet pics, btw. I've never seen cuter cats, and the dog is so adorable. Disgusting can't be further than the truth, he's beautiful.

From top: Jessie, Lia, Donnie, Raph...I dont have good pics of Mike,Tokka and Casey. that's 7 turtles total.

Then theres 2 cats, Sharkey and Jinks. 3 Goldfish. 3 dwarf african froggies

damnhooligan 09-07-2005 11:34 PM

Needs more puppies. Stat!

http://www.damnhooligan.com/images/scottmonty.jpg
My little brother with Montgomery P. Dog when he was a pup about a year ago. No one's exactly sure what breeds he comprises, but he's got these cool little weiner-dog legs. (Flash Fact! The "P." actually stands for Pee.)

http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/9...cooper24vy.jpg
Monty all grown up, wrasslin' with the new Beagle/Poodle puppy, named Cooper after Mercury 7 astronaut Gordon Cooper. (I call him Coopah Troopah or sometimes, I just yell "COOPAH!" in a weird pseudo-Bostonian accent. It seems to work.)

http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/3...810back9gb.jpg
Cooper hangin' out in Momma's lap.

I don't have any pictures of our elusive 7 year old Border Collie, Annabella aka Belly, because if she so much as sees a camera, she starts snarling and snapping at it. All these dogs are hanging out in Colorado at present, at my mom's house, but I'm set to get my own pup in the upcoming month once I move. Expect a flurry of pictures then.

Also, Anarky... J.J. has won my heart! Lookit that l'il guy!

Anarky 09-08-2005 06:43 AM

Hey, he's about two years old and still looks the same. He just got bigger in size but everyone goes "Awww... what a cute puppy". And he's becoming more and more lively every day. And he likes waking me up by licking whatever piece of skin he finds...

Here's a more recent one, he wants to eat from the table... once again.

Kitty!

At the pet grooming place about a block away from my house, a 2-week old kitten was dropped off with fleas and maggots. Her mother had died and the owner could not take care of her.
I found out about this today, through my neighbor. I called Apolo and asked her if she wanted another cat (she has two; i couldnt adopt the kitty because we have a dog). She asked her mom, and her mom and stepdad went down to the pet place to see the kitten. They adopted her. =D They took her straight to the vet. She's now in a safe place with caring people. ^^

The end :0

Such adorable pets, everyone! ^_^

I have a cat named Gizmo. And yup, you guessed right, the name comes from the cute little gremlin.

He doesn't seem to get along with anyone exept me and a few others. Gizmo doesn't even get along with other animals.

I'll show two pics for now.
My cat as a kitten and a recent photo of him.

Kali 09-09-2005 08:56 PM

They’re all so cute! This is mine, our cockatiel, Patches. The pictures aren’t too good because he doesn’t like the camera. Twenty-four years and we still can’t get a decent picture of him. I wish I could find the picture of him eating mac ‘n’ cheese right out of the pot. Or the ones of him balancing on the tennis ball. But here he is being protective of his soda box cave.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...tchesinbox.bmp

He’ll watch and attack if you get too close. (Man this framing sucks, my mom should never be let near a camera.)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...espeekaboo.bmp

GK Punk 09-09-2005 09:03 PM

COCKATIEL!!!!! Oh man I had one most of my life, that sadly passed away last Summer. His name was Doug. They are such sweet animals. I love it when they sing :)
Did you say he's 24? That's Amazing! When Doug passed the Vet was shocked that he was almost 20. Apparently 11 is the average age. (That means you are taking really good care of him)

Peanut 09-09-2005 09:06 PM

These are my two kittens. Arwen (black and white) and Eowyn (brown and black). Named, of course, after LotR.

The last pet I had was a goldfish I named Eminem (Hey, back off!:P)

I had him since '98,but he just died in January. That was when I was living with my sister.

It's funny, though, but not ha-ha funny. Whenever people saw him, they always ask me how is he even still living: Like I don't know how to take care of a goldfish!

He only died because I left him and moved, and I guarantee if I took him with me, he'd still be here.

*sighs*

I should've gotten to him sooner...

Mars-Chan 09-09-2005 09:39 PM

Those are all great pets, guys! Here's my pet, Kirby....yes, you read that right, my dog's name is KIRBY!!! XD

Relish in the cuteness that is my Wheaton Terrier!!!! ^_^ *hugs her dog*

And this is what he looks like BEFORE he's been shaved, mind you....

Buslady 09-09-2005 09:57 PM

Is Kirby a show dog? He's parked like he wants judges to GAWK at him and adore him hehehe

Huh. The oldest age I’ve read was 25, so I didn’t think it was that odd. But I suppose we do take good care of him. He gets whatever food he wants even if it’s already in your mouth, vitamins, treats, and a cage I can fit into that he really only goes in to sleep. I swear, he’s treated more like a dog than a bird and he’s spoiled rotten. He’s survived four kids, five cases of his tail being stepped on and pulled out, and one escape (and recapture, of course.) He’s one tough bird. :D But so sweet and adorable.

hazlov2004 09-10-2005 07:58 AM

me and my sister has a rat named artie but i call him splinter

cowabunga14 09-10-2005 10:01 AM

Hannah 09-10-2005 07:41 PM

 Hardly! That's not even a picture of my real dog. I just used that picture to show people what the goof looks like. :P

You want to talk silly? His favorite games are "Toss the worn out tennis ball even though you don't want to" game....and the "Bite on Mars-Chan for the fact I'm BORED!" game (Oh, I REALLY love that one....  :P ) or if he's really bored, he'll be outside and if he spots a bird up in the sky flying, he'll run with his head pointed to the sky after the bird! It is the most HILLARIOUS thing I have ever seen!

And I cannot help but call him my baby. He's too adorable. :D

Sewer Bull 09-11-2005 02:39 AM

Now I'm petless (cruel fate) but I used to have the brightest dachshund on Earth. And for some time I even had 2 dogs:

This pic is old, it was shot in 1997 or 1998. The left guy's name's Gogo, he was with me for almost 16,5 years (he passed away about 2 weeks ago). The right one is Mickey, he was Gogo's younger brother. We had him for some time but then my mother gave him to my grandma - and he served her well till his death in 1999.

Sounds like a great bird :)

I used to have two cats, but I had to give them up because I'm now allergic to cats. :(

OA 09-11-2005 08:18 AM

Well, I have to Turtles, Red Ear Sliders that are about 4 yrs old..gotem when the size of a quarter now they're pretty darn big...names are Curly and Raul...i'll post pics soon..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/11...LES/Smokey.jpg

Look at that beast! He sure is an old fart! As Matt said, this one is viscious, but sometimes it helps when you don't like the visitors! Here is Smokey, hes about 25-30 pounds! And yes, I was a kid, so Smokey was the only thing I could think at that age! I have also had a black labrador dog, which I had to get rid off as a young lad becuase it always made a mess, big mistake! And I had another cat that was the same size as this one I got now, but died when I was young, poor poor Tiger. Yes another original name! I also had turtles once, and fish was always in the tank as I grew up! And that's my pet history! Enjoy!

Peanut 09-11-2005 04:55 PM

That cat's a bastard. Remeber when he wouldn't let me go near the Shredder action figure? Damn him! He bites hard too.

SeaThreePeeO 09-12-2005 07:49 AM

We have three large parrots and one 18 month old black labrador. At the moment we're thinking of adding a cat to the medley after the baby's born.

http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/60/10040509141lv.jpg
Missy - Galah Cockatoo
Don't be fooled by his name Missy is a full blooded male cockatoo. Why the name Missy? I found it kinda hard to give a pink bird a masculine name.

http://img160.imageshack.us/img160/8...70514083pk.jpg
Casper - Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo
Casper is the baby of the bunch at under a year old.

http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/4...70514095ze.jpg
Deedee - Timneh African Grey
Deedee is the man hater and the telly addict. She enjoys nothing more then suckering my partner into tickling her just so she can sink her beak in. Strange thing is my partner still hasn't learnt to leave her alone.

http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/1051/26060516459cy.jpg
Shen - Black Labrador Puppy
Shen born on 13th March is the unluckiest dog I have ever owned. So far her has visited the vet for :-
A broken leg
Gastro-enteritis
and a large swelling on his neck
Good thing we have pet insurance!

Jo Dawn 09-12-2005 01:45 PM

Aww... I need to get pics of my bunnies up here!!

And Nunchucker!! I meant to tell ya... Congradualtions!! :D :D

I'm excited for you!

A Drome baby!! Oh, it's like I'm gonna be an auntie, heh. ;)

We will, of course, need to have a baby shower and all... :)

But yes... Congradulations, and much luck with your little blessing!! :D

The Stryker 09-13-2005 08:39 AM

I had a Cat named Thomasina or something spanish i dunno it scratched me and attacked me...but protected me otherwise. Had to put it...down tho.

Now i have a pair of Turtles Named Fred and Wilma

:P

Type 97 Chi-ha 09-13-2005 02:57 PM

I have two cats which are about 4 years old whom I've had since kittenhood. One is a feisty black female named Shadow, and a hyper brown and white striped male named Barnaby.

Want to talk about ancient birds? I live near Brookfield Zoo, which was founded in 1934 and one of its original inhabitants is a pink cockatoo named Cookie, age unknown when acquired. That bird is still alive and on display after 71 years, its only obvious health problem a crippled leg! Talk about longetivity! :teek:

cowabunga14 09-13-2005 04:42 PM

Joshua could live to be fifty or older. I believe he's six. He'll probably out live my dad.

愛 09-19-2005 02:25 PM

Here's a picture of my cat, Snowflake. I named her after the dolphin from Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. The name is kind of long, so I just call her Snowy.

So cute!

Ryona 09-19-2005 02:44 PM

Very cute cat, Ai! ^_^

Everyones pets here are adorable. :)

Sewer Bull 09-19-2005 02:46 PM

Heh - generally I'm not into the cats (as for the fact I'm a canine personality) but Snow is very adorable. Nice cat really, looks like one that doesn't scratch people too often...
