Interesting fact:
Microsoft announces that only the XBox Premium Edition will be released in Japan which will actually cost only as much as the Core System does in Europe. (€295/360$). Excellent decision! |
If, ya know, the Japanese had any intrest in the Xbox. I think the most it's sold in a week is just over 300 units. The Wonderswan Color was beating it for a while.

Sure, but this case is a little different. The XBox had a total of three games that Japanese players wanted to play (DoA Beach Volleyball, Halo, Ninja Gaiden) while the 360 will follow an all new strategy for Japan. The fact that the Premium Edition is cheaper there than in the rest of the world is a good start. Of course it won't be able to touch Sony but I'm sure it will sell a decent number of units.

I'm not willing to pay more than $350 for the Premium Edition PLUS a game so I'll just have to wait. There are limits to everything and I don't have a gold crapping donkey at home.
