Since nobody bothered to do start this thread, I figured I would (If you mods don't mind)

I thought this episode was pretty damn cool. I pretty much think Hun's lost a bit of respect for the Shredder now.

Anyway, pretty good episode, I thought it could have used at least a little more focus on the turtles, they were almost superfluous. Jeinco made for a hillarious villain, a parody of gang villains everywhere... I half expected him to break into song "West Side Story" style.

This was an average episode with a great ending.

The episode was strictly OK. I love Nobody but the episode seemed too generic. By far the most interesting part was at the end with Hun and Karai. We finally see Hun's reaction to the fact that Shredder was an Utrom. Well Karai seems more intent to kick turtle butt then before. This is definitely building into some sort of climax. I just hope it comes soon. I'm starting to get impatient. We haven't had any two parters this season so far, what's going on?

Oh yes! The preview for next week looks fun. I heard they were going to do something like this on the usagiyojimbo.com message boards. But didn't Usagi come to New York during the Christmas special? Oh well, this should be a more in depth visit. Hopefully it won't turn out like the old cartoon :D .

I liked this episode.

The reason I liked this episode was the last five minutes. Hun and Karai finally come together and we get the feelings from hun that we have been waiting for.

God I love it when a season comes together.....

I hate the leader of the jerks, i mean turks. they seem familiar are they in the dreamwave comic or something? but he reminded me of a latin nelly. when he said "say hello to my little friend" it bothered me. nobody seemed too scruff mcgruff for me. i liked the ending.

This was a pretty cool episide- the gag of "nobody" made me laugh a bit, and what's with the dark costume? Does everyone wantto be "Batman" all of a sudden?
This episode kinda makes you think- when you join a gang you are at risk to get beaten by heartless jerks like that one guy. It teachs a good message. The fact that Mikey kept calling Donnie his husband just made me laugh and say,"You truely are open-minded" and a true "Dork' I wish Mikey called me his husband....no wait I called Donnie my husband....:o whatever..:evilgrin:

Well Leo was calmer! I bet he got time to relax and not be such a "hard shell". Seeing Karai was cool-but it looks like she's gonna plot something but hopefully she snaps out of it before killing our heros. Hun lost respect for Shredder -that's a fact. But I wonder what Hun has planned for our heros. Will Hun be destoryed someday?--we'll have to wait & see.....

Next weeks episode, I nearly busted a gut. I think in the Xmas special, all they saw was the sewers. Having them see New York is gonna be a blast. And yeah Raph was funny to say what the hotdog was made of. That's a question never to answer just make it up.

Yeah, because evolving a character no matter what road he/she takes really is a bad concept is'nt it?

I'm surprised Hun and Karai are in the same room getting along without the shredder. Most interesting part was hun's reaction of shredder being an utrom. Everyone swore that Hun knew when i knew all along that he didn't know about Saki being an Utrom. I been telling yall for the longest that if Hun did know he'd betray shredder

He was just so creeped out by the knowledge the shredder was a "slug" Too bad we couldn't see his face when Karai was explaining that she cared for him as her father

I wanna know how-was she an oprhan and he adopted her? Or was she like a "Tube baby" I'd love to know how that became to be her dad

For some reason, I feel more comfortable to post in today's episode thread.


So, what did I think of today's episode? I think it was great. Lots of good stuff. I like that it was down to earth and realistic. Street gangs is a real problem, and I'm glad that it wasn't the typical Purple Dragons.

I actually thought it was funny when Donnie slapped Mikey and Raph says "Donnie, don't slap Mikey... That's my job!". And I was thrilled that for once Mikey actually spoke up against the slapping.

Nobody was awesome. He's just like he is in the comics. I was very happy with the way he was portraid. :)

The Donnie and Mikey scene in the apartment was too good. And Mikey still wanting to wear the dress... Gold. :lol:

I was glad that Leo wasn't so abrasive in this episode for two reasons...
One, it was nice to see him mellowed out. And two, hopefuly people in the Technodrome forums won't feel the need to be asses and bash him. :sweatdro:



My thoughts exactly.
Too many people are too close-minded to allow character developement for some reason. A shame really.





Oh! And I'd like to add that I think it was cool to see Dane in a TMNT episode! ...even though he was the bad guy...

I am SO going bananas...
...I'm still really uncomfortable with these drastic mood swings for both Leo and Karai. Yes, Saki was her father, but she knew he was evil, and what's done is done. I thought for sure she would feel free to be her own person after he was gone... but I guess in losing him, she feels like she owes it to him to genuflect to his shadow even now. If he'd gone peacefully as was originally planned, her attitude would be much different. She's still too selfish to see the bigger picture, and how the galaxies are much safer with Saki gone. I think she knows it deep down, but she's still fastened on the unfairness of his demise, to heck with the rest of the universe.

I guess it all boils down to: is family more important, or is honor? Leo and Karai have both chosen family over honor, and it's not like them. Of course, neither had ever been so close to losing their families, and it badly frightened them. And I suppose Karai has the extra incentive in that she actually did lose her family.

But considering how Leo and Karai usually mirror each other like this in the show, I think any change Leo makes will happen to Karai too. And I'm still reasonably sure things will go the way Mirage Vol 4 is, and they'll end up as allies of some sort. It's just that getting there is a rough road.

*noddles* Yes, it definitely was. Other than the "pull-ups marathon" and commenting that Nobody was slipping. But *shrug* he's been very performance-oriented lately. That I can deal with. It's the anger that kind of scares me, since he usually has such a handle on it.

I didn't love this episode but I thought it had some great funny points. I do like nobody and the episode preview was really clever.
I knew Mikey would be the one in drag, and it was hilarious when Donny said he was glad he wasn't refferring to him as his husband anymore. What were they doing that whole time Raph and Leo were fighting. Still protecting the man and his wife?
The end is the only part that really glued me to the television. Karai is going to make a comeback soon I think. Her and Hun are getting along without the Shredder but that is gonna suck when/ if they team up and go after the guys. It's gonna make a great episode though. There is the two parter.
I can't wait for next weeks ep. I really love Usagi. I wonder if he will notice Leo's new attitude?

Kick ass episode, I love how they toned down the sci-fi, and started using more urban and violent stories. And I just love Nobody.

This was an okay episode. It was nice to see the turtles battling more regular problems like street gangs. It seems that they will be fighting more crimes this season. That they are focusing on that. At the end when Jeinco mentioned someone had sold him those weapons I knew it had to have been Hun. I mean he has become a major player in this dance. Still it was disturbing the ending... Hun and Karai in the same room conversing almost civilly. Man if those two pool their resources together...

And of course it was chilling to see them pan up from the library and slowly showing you the Foot Tower. Uh-oh. :o

I can't wait to see what happens when Usagi and Gen come to New York. I get the feeling the reason they are going to do that is so Usagi can try and help Leonardo. Not that I'd think it's help. :( This is something Leo has to work out on his own.

When I saw the name of the building as Oroku Saki Memorial Library I was like WTF?! Too bad it didn't show the turtles watching this on the news cuz then they'd know that Karai is back.

I'm with the strictly average votes -- I could've done without this episode. Then again, I could've done without almost every episode this season, as almost all of them have felt more or less like rehashes of previous eps to me. And while it sounds like this aspect of the new show is fairly true to the comics, I've never been keen on the presence of superheroes in the TMNT universe. Aliens, fine, and I kinda miss the mutants, but Batman's understudy and bootleg Alpha Flight could've stayed home as far as I'm concerned. Maybe that's just me, though. :P

I did like the end of the episode, though, mostly because the very notion of a Shredder library put me in stitches. :lol: And I think a more interesting episode than anything we've seen recently would be a clip show with Karai and Hun discussing their former master over tea and commenting on their various memories of him. I agree with Aska about Karai's apparent change of heart, though. While some may think it constitutes character development, I actually think it's very much out of character for her, given her struggles with honor and, on several occasions, her willingness to work against the Shredder. Moreover, her last words before being imprisoned (how did she get out?) were, "This is not what I wanted." So why would she commit herself to evil as soon as she got loose? Granted, I'm not saying there aren't answers to these questions -- namely, that Shredder was her "father" and that losing him really brassed her off -- but I don't think they fully explain her actions, seeing as how towards the end she seemed to realize just what a dishonorable and vicious dude he really was. But admittedly I've had a ton of respect for Karai ever since she leapt into the air and hit my character thirty times in the space of two seconds, so I kinda want to see her do the honorable thing. 8)

Another pretty good episode.

There's been a lot of build up this season, though I am getting a bit impatient for something big to happen, but I have a feeling it's going to pay off. The turtles basically know what Hun's been up to, and so far he's been able to stay ahead of them. Bishops plans are a bit more of a mystery, but he's obviously up to no good. Then theres Karai, and I don't even think the turtles realize that she's in the picture. And if they did I suspect Leo would be foaming at the mouth or something.

I think this is what Leo's outburst was about last episode, they're up against forces more powerful than they can take on by themselves, at least at this point. I can't be sure, but I have a feeling that the turtles may suffer a major defeat sometime this season.

A good episode. I love the ending. I wish that more teens would stop throwing their lives away with gangs. All they need is somebody to care, like Nobody did. Mikey sure likes to wear dressess. :o First on D'Hoonob and now this.....it's funny that his bro's always make him to be the girl. :ohwell: I give this episode 4 out 5 stars.

The scene with Karai and Hun has me worried about what they're planning. I think there is hope for Karai to see the light. The only thing thats keeping her with the foot is her loyalty to her "father'. I'm still suspicious about Saki just happening on Karai. I think he did something to her real parents in order to get to her.

Now this is my theory...maybe Karai's father was a Guardian and she was learning to be one too. Seeing this potential, the Shedder gets rid of her parents. Thinking that her parents have abandoned her she is angry, bitter and vunerable. Oroku Saki comes in and "rescues" and raises her as his own so she would one day become leader of the Foot in his stead. Karai finds out the truth and no longer has any reason to hate the turtles. She will then make peace with herself and try to help New York. The End! :)

Interesting episode. Not the best, but not Nano either....:P

I'll do a pros and cons list and you can comment as you see fit:
Pros
*Mikey and Donnie as the old couple....priceless and hilarious.
*Leo mellowing out, good to see him seemingly getting it together.
*Hun and Karai's heart to heart, a real character moment. Now we know Hun wasn't a fan of working for an "alien slug."

Cons:
*Leo and Raph being psudo-sidelined in the fight against the Turks. They basically stood around while Nobody kicked butt and took names.
*Karai's seemingly expunged criminal record. Didn't the Utroms turn her over to earth athorities?

That's my feelings on this episode, story wise...ehh....but the ending was good. Can't wait for next week...Gen and Usagi seeing not just the NYC sewers but also the city that never sleeps herself....and what will Usagi's presence do to Leo's mood? Only a week will tell...:P

Not that bad an episode, but I don't really like Nobody. He's like a ripoff of Batman. Different origin, but saaaame tude.

Mikey getting scolded for not turning off his shell cell...THAT was funny. I wonder if Leo's been hanging out with college professors to pick up that trait? XD I'm surprised he didn't take it away >.> I know a few teachers that would. And I was SO sure that the "Nobody." (on the phone) thing would turn into a dialogue like 'who's on first' or something. And sadly it did not. *sniffle*

Donnie and Mikey dressed up as the elderly couple cracked me up too. Suuuure, let the slashy fangirls run amock. XD I don't know why, but Don with glasses cracked me up more than Mikey in a dress.

The ending confused me a little bit. Hun still seems to be acting in memory of his "late, great, master," yet he goes on that rant about the Shredder being an alien blob and yadda yadda yadda. And Karai...I still think she's possessed or something. And doesn't she have any other dresses? T_T It'd be kinda neat though to see Karai and Hun team up now, after despising each other so much. I've always thought they'd make a cute couple! XD

And though this episode had some funny parts, my favorite part was the preview for next week. *girlish squeal* Usagi! With SUNGLASSES!!! *runs off giggling in fangirlish delight*

Very sweet episode. Although, Mikey and Donny as the odd couple was chilling as well as classic. I mean, they have a great chemistry and all, but GEEZ! :lol:

Next week's episode I'm REALLY looking forward to.:D

An all right episode, though nothing spectacular. Though it was nice to see Nobody again... hopefully he doesn't suffer his comic book fate anytime in this series.

The ending certainly has me intrigued... nice to see Shredder's old towe again... though the TMNT must be quite blind not to notice a big building with the Foot Symbol makings its return. Interesting that Karai kept going on about the Shredder's destruction. Yeah, it's easier to keep up appearances and tell the media that Oroku Saki died and wasn't an alien slug who was banished to the farthest reaches of space... but she kept that up with even Hun. Perhaps the writers are being oh-so-subtle and want to drill into our heads that while Shredder wasn't flat-out killed in Exodus, the characters all believed he perished on that frozen rock with no resources. Granted, there's no information available that I know of that states if Utroms even need food, water, etc.

Anyway, the next episode does look rather amusing. Can't wait. And at least that preview as a little more informative than the last two.

Wouldn't it be funny if Karai ends up being related to Master Yoshi somehow? Like his granddaughter or something. :lol:

Yeah they are taking too long with this Leo/Karai change but I have a feeling that this will be resolved near the end of the season. One problem about the Turtle's seasons being so long. Takes to long for a plot line to be resolved.

I still like Karai and I still think she can be saved, however soon she will be beyond saving. Her and Leo both. I hope then snap out of this before they do something they will both regret.

As for Hun, well he lost all respect for the Shredder as a person but he is not dumb enough to throw away everything he learned from the Shredder just because of that. He is putting that knowledge to create his own criminal empire, one probably better then his late master, or at least he will try to make his better. Hun while not an idiot is piggybacking on the actions of others and his crime empire will fall quickly because of it.

This episode bored me a little in the "big" action/fighting sequence followed by Nobody's lecture. The anti-gang message is totally cool, but in real life kids turn to gangs for reasons not adressed here, and don't exactly have mutant ninja opposition to worry about. Still a good message, though... and heck, if gang leaders prance around barking orders and telling people to say hello to their little friends, I'd rather be a kickass cross-dressing mutant turtle any day!

That was like the best-looking gang leader ever. He was hot! That made me laugh... a lot. Jeinco, honey, your Career Exam didn't say "faschist," it said "fashionista!" Seems Hun is only going to work with beautiful thugs from now on. He's working protection for Calvin Klein.

If the guys didn't know that Karai was back, still dedicated to Daddy, and therefore probably not liking them very much, then she pretty much announced it by opening the library.

I think that Karai wanting vengeance on the Turtle clan is completely plausible, and, though she may change her mind eventually, I wouldn't characterize it as a "mood swing." (What Leo is going through is also not a "mood swing.") For one thing, we tend to idealize people when we lose them; in her mind, she may see redeeming qualities that we don't see in Saki, all magnified... indeed, deserving of a huge jade statue. Perhaps she feels that she failed to bring out those redeeming qualities.

Clearly, Karai loves her father, and she is bitter over her loss, and has someone specific on whom she can lay the blame for everything that went wrong. Besides, didn't the Turtle clan want Oroku Saki dead long before he became a threat on all existence? Different circumstances, yes, but I'm betting Karai has developed all sorts of justification for what she is doing. And for Karai, using the Foot and joining forces with Hun may be the most expedient means of achieving vengeance.

Switching gears...
It bugged me when Don slapped Mikey upside the head because this time Mikey wasn't intentionally trying to exasperate anyone. Granted, unanswered questions (like, who's calling Mike?) are probably an easy way to get Donny's wires in a knot. Mikey looked none too pleased with the situation. Maybe he should've gotten my fortune cookie last week: "others treat us the way we teach them to treat us."

Leo ... I think "performance-oriented," as Aska put it, is a good descriptor. I also hope a visit from Usagi will lift his spirits. Even if Usagi TOTALLY stole the whole "sunglasses in Times Square" thing from me! :tcool: haha

Raphael and that motorcycle! It's like the Testosterone Express! Normally I'd be rollin' my eyes at a display like that, but dude for some reason when it's Raphael I love it. I'm glad the bike isn't all, um, "turtle-ized"... no offense meant to Donny's aesthetic preferences.

I have a feeling those two are each other's only hope in getting over their recent problems. Not talking romantically, mind you. I almost see their inevitable fight going down the same wasy as the confrontation between Angel and Faith in the Five by Five episode of... well, Angel... working out their frustration with violence (not something a condone mind you) only with both of them breaking down emotionally at the end instead of just one.

That or Splinter can knock some sense into them both.

I agree on the bike, it's normal..you can see the frame on it...I guess it's the one he was working on waaaaay back when he got thrown to the Planet Racers 'verse. I hoped it wasn't the shell bike cause it'd be so corny all of a sudden it's back.

As great as the previous Nobody episode. He's by far my favorite superhero charater in the series next to the Justice Force guys.

About time we see a different street gang than the PDs. Course I knew they some how had a connection with the PDs, cause how else can they enherit those Triceraton/Federation like weapons.

Some good moments, here and there, nice to see Raph on his bike which has been repaired.

And a mission success with that Janko guy under arrest.

I was surprised to see that Karai made an "Oroku Saki Memorial" and N.Y. still believe Oroku Saki was a hero to them. Funny she was able to redesigned the first foot HQ even when the police probably already knew the Foot Activity that was there in RtNY But I guess they still don't have a clue that Karai is linked to the Foot.

Makes me wonder if Karai is back in New York does that would mean the Foot are back as well as the Eliete and Mystic Foot.

it's been a long time since they've shown the regular foot.

Anyways I give this episode an 5/5. Next episode is going to be good with Usagi and Gen in New York. I smell a simalarity to the first episode of Usagi in the old series.

I don't think they have much reason to connect her to the Foot. But even if the police suspect something, they can't do anything if they can't find anything illegal going on.

true, very true. Shredder did do a good job in hiding his "Oroku Saki's" true crimes.

Since this is a kids show, it would be a bit boring in explaining how Karai, Shredder and the Foot keep themselves clean from Criminal records.

This Episode Was Okay. I'm Not Really Into Nobody He's A Nobody To Me (pun Intended). I Feel This Character Has Way More Potential. He's Like Literally A Shadow. I Think More Could Be Done With Him. Its Hard To Imagine, With What They Have Showed Us From Him That He Gets Results With His Actions. He Feels Like A Wanna Be Super Hero. I Mean He Shares The City With The Turtles And We Can See The Change The Turtles Have Made (whether Bad Or Good). And If The Writers Or Laird Feel That He Needs To Live Up To His Name And Feel Like He's Nobody, Then That Is A Stupid Character.

The Message In The Episode Was Good And Probably Gets A Thumb Up From Older Parents.

The Gang Leader Was Annoying, I Couldn't Wait For Him To Be Done. The Action Was Okay And The Animation, Once Again Was Regular. I Miss 2 Parters Or 5 Parters, Whats Up????????

The End Of The Episode Was Gold! Oh Man Was I Excited. The Memorial Was Hott. It Felt Good To See Oroku Again, Even If Its Just His Statue. Hun Looked Awesome In His Suit. He's Big Boss Now And I Love It. He's My Favorite Character This Season, He's Getting Major Development. Karia Seems To Be Tightening Her Spring Pretty Tight Waiting To Get At The Turtles. I Think Its Gonna Be Big Between Them.

I'm Glad To See Usagi Next Week. He's Another Of My Favorites. I Hope There's Fighting Because He's Great.
