I don't think we really need *another* list of friend codes. If we have one for AC:WW seperate from the general WiFi thread, are we going to do that with every WFC DS game? If so, where's the Tony Hawk one o.O?

I think a link to the thread with the WFC codes in the first post here would be a good solution though ;).

So how far along's everyone's village? How many animals, house upgrades, museum collection... that stuff?

I kinda suck at Animal Crossing. Don't have practically jack to show in my measuem, bu whatever. I'm having a blast at it so that's all that matters :D

so, lack of old games in here... woulden't it be possible for nintendo to release those over WFC? like, send out, say a SNES game or two to people who play online enough times, or have visited enough villages?

Bah, I don't really care since the Revolution is coming out anyways. I'll worry about my retro games when that comes out. In the mean time, I had no idea there was a friendcode thread already, maybe I should update with my MKDS code too.

I'm not too worried about the lack of NES games and such. It's pretty much assured the next version will be drowning in them. Perhaps even tied to the emulation system so we can play them with people across the world through the game. You never know.

In the meantime, I have a fishing contest to enter.....and I'm going to trample Nooks's flowers because he annoys me. :evilgrin:

When does your fishing contest start, I don't think mine does for a couple days. I should have saved my extra couple Coelecanth and Tunas for this.

I haven't been able to play nearly enough lately. Tis' the season I suppose.

But so far I have one house upgrade, a bunch of fish, one bug (bee) and Nook's is upgrading for the second time today.

when's the best time to catch those rare fishies? i hear early morning... but would around midnight work for that? o.O think i'll give it a try tonight... let youall know what's goin on.

It all depends. Certain rare fish are caught at different times. The rare river fish in the winter is caught around noon I believe. There are just so many different fish I don't even know anymore. I just can't wait until the Colecanth are out. Those were my bread and butter.

Actually I find more of the rarefish around 2-4am but I don't play that late often. I've caught around 3 coelecanths (it's ok when it snows too), 4 tunas, a ton of red snappers, football fish, and sea butterflies, and several stringfish. Gonna save a stringfish for the fishing tourny instead of selling him for 15k.

No Animal Crossing for me though. Doesn't really interest me that much. Besides, it's not even coming out here until like March...

I bought a 2nd dresser thinking that I can fit more junk into it, and unfortunately you're just stuck with one functionable one... any way to go around this?

nope. you just get the set 90 storage slots. no idea if that's between roommates or not though.... so it might be possible to store 360 items.

It's a lot better than the storage system in GCN AC. My basement was full of lockers to store crap. 3 items per locker/dresser/cabinet was a pain in the ass. Besides, you actually NEED more room? :-?

And the storage room is shared between room mates.

Well I got my 2nd upgrade, but still have a bunch of items I don't really want to carry around, I guess I'll just sell em or give them away for more stuff. Speaking of which, I bought something called the HMD at Able Sisters and I have no idea what the heck it's from. I've played many Nintendo games in my day but I don't recognize it, anyone know? Sorry for the bad pics...

I had that in my Able Sister's too, but unfortunately I also had Redd in town. This wouldn't have mattered, but Nook's was closed and I had put all my money towards paying off my debt the night before. I decided to buy the high-end stereo at Redd's for all the money I could scrounge in the village, (rock money, tree money, villager rewards) and left the cool looking visor thing where it was.

I don't think it does anything, like most stuff in the game. It's probably just for show.

I'll be picking this game up at the end of the week, Friday actually. I decided to wait and buy it after finals were over with. But I was just wondering how long did it take you guys to get your dongle mailed to u?

This is generally going to be the same every night this week, but I'd like to visit some of your villages soon... so yeah. I think, each night/day we should have someone host the rest of the clan, or smething.

As long as people bring me things, feel free to come by.

Argh. This whole online setup in AC is pissing me off. Yes, it works, but barely.

I still haven't managed to get to someones village, or someone into mine, because there's no real way of knowing exactaly when someone's going to have their gate open.

Anyway, like I proposed in my last post, we need to get a general time frame sort of thing that works for most of us to be able to visit each others villages.

As for me, I can be online with the game from around noon-1, and then again at around 10:45PM-midnight.
Tuesday-Saturday: noon-1 PM, 10:45 PM- midnight (central US time)
Sunday - anytime before 6 (barring my Pokemon tournaments, unless we get a spot with wifi...)
Monday - mostly any time

I can be on most anytime in the evining past 10:00 or so. Let me know and I'll be there.

I'll be on for an hour or so now, can someone clear my nook's stock... it's getting boring seeing the same thing everyday

Heh, I've been buying out Nooks every day since I bought the game. Infact, tommrow, he's closed for upgrading. Again :D.

And today, the creepy cat was walking around with a shovel... then mentioned that she actually hates fossils. SHE'S KILLING THINGS >_o.

I can't buy out Nooks, cause he has repeat items.

Ick...the only repeat item i've seen is the giant tree. Well, that and the standard shovels and stuff.

Lol, I guess it is. I did a quick google on it, and it just turns out to be a Head Mounted Display, so it's nothing Nintendo oriented. Kinda sucks. One day I hope to get a Samus helmet (if it exists :lol: )

Alright so my town's fishing tournament was today, and I submitted a Stringfish. I got a Phonograph for it, but my question is... I didn't check in around 6 so does that mean I don't get a trophy? Or do I get it in the mail tomorrow?

I missed my fishing tournament because I was working. No fun at all. Does anyone else keeping getting Lyle snooping around their house constantly? I bought insurance from him once and now he wants it again at double the price.

Edit: AHHHH! I'm just checking my town now and I've got some kind of...thing in it named Shrunk. A therapist and part-time comedian...He's trying to help me "express" myself. Anyone had him yet?

Edit: He teaches expressions! I can now express being shy. You get an option in the keyboard menu and your character acts it out. Awesome.

About Lyle, he came back to my place asking for 6k but I think it's for house insurance. Either way, I didn't have any money to pay him. I havne't played at all today yet so I don't know if that therapist is around. Speaking of which, I can never find the lady that sells turnip seeds on Sunday.

She's only there in the mornings. That might be why. I'm pretty sure it used to be from 8 until 12 in the GCN version. Maybe it's the same for this one. I bought 60 white turnips and a red turnip seed this Sunday. I hope the red turnip grows.

Anyone get Nookington's yet? Mine is upgrading today so tomorrow everyone can come and get haircuts! h00ray!

I paid off my 3rd house upgrade last night, so now I have a pretty large first floor. I can't wait to get some extra rooms.

Yah had it for a while. I was reading some faq on gamefaqs, and it seems like this AC is somewhat like the various versions of Pokemon... where we can't get every item unless we go on another version of the game. How lame is that?
