Who's your worst toy?

ok i posted a thread who's your favorite toy now it's the opposite.
who's your worst turtle toy of all time.

OA 01-12-2006 08:33 PM

Hmmmm..thats a tough one as I really liked pretty much all of them...if i had to pick though, I guess I'd go with Hose em Down Don...i remember getting this toy and not really being able to figure out what to do with him as he didnt really fit in with my mass battles I would always have...

jestergoblin 01-12-2006 10:56 PM

Hose `Em Down Don went GREAT with HotSpot!!!

Toon Raph. His head just spun. He ALWAYS looked the wrong way.

Dragnskull 01-13-2006 02:29 AM

i would have to say the TMNT Troll dolls...i collected the 4 turtles but i f**king hated them really, if they wernt turtles i woulda melted them in the microwave or something

also my dog attacked raph i believe, ripped the hair half off his head ^^;

BartAllen 01-13-2006 03:30 AM

armada sideswipe.

Jed 01-13-2006 11:04 AM

I'm only gonna talk about new line cause I don't have any old line ones that I don't like.

Dr. Malignus would be first because his feet get bent out of shape in the packaging and he'll never stand right because of it (and then falls off the shelf and breaks:( ).

The Ninja Knights because mine won't hold their shields or weapons and won't stand straight. I hope it's only my silver ones and that the gold ones won't have that problem!

All the crumple-in-defeat action figures, pretty self explanatory.

Big Lob 01-13-2006 11:17 AM

Baxter Stockman

You have, what, six limbs of robotic arms with supposedly different capabilities. Should be a fun toy with a lot of playability. The problem is, these arms don't do anything special.

I can't even begin to say what a rediculous concept that was. They were ugly beyond belief. Hate how they capitalized on another fad... of course, they have TMNT battle Tops now. I'd complain, but they have a Triceriton.

I don't even know why that's even considered a good idea for one figure, not even multiple figures, to come with such a lame action feature. I do love my Genosuke, though... and I want to get Traximus, if I could ever find him... but it reall ruins the toy, I think.

The one thing I don't like in the new Line are (I'm going to say it once more) the endless varients. 2 reasons. After they changed the Space Hopping Turtles from Show specific to generic space suits, they lost me. Plus, they have just sooooo many of them, I always had trouble finding the single non turtle figures I wanted. But then again, I DO like the Mystic Warriors ones.... they look hella cool.

As far as the old series... well... I could say I hated the random mutants that they just made as toys, most of which had no connection to any TMNT media at the time. But I won't! They were fun, if silly, and I recall having a few of them. Can't remember which ones, though. But the even weirder, slightly creepy TMNT varients. I mean... Crazy Clown Mike was scarey. No wonder so many people are afraid of clowns nowadays.

aramconbrat 01-13-2006 09:10 PM

I don't really have any figures I dislike... especially in the original line.

From the newer line, there are a few that aggravate me to no end like the M.E.C.H. Wrekkers... It is cool they each got their own machine sculpt but for the price, they really should do more and do it faster than they actually do.

My issues aren't so much with the toys themselves as much as it is with Playmates trying to capitalize on the TMNT. Like all the variant figures that don't even get a new head sculpt.

But yep, I love them all basically. My gripes tend to be with how much they cost versus what they do and how well they are painted...

But the vintage line was incredible!

Ooooh... And I do not appreciate the crumple in defeat figures either. Forgot because I haven't opened any that do that!

I'm trying to find a box big enough for them. All the boxes that are "long" enough are super wide...

So it sounds like you are going to be taking these figures out of their package... What a dreadful thing to do :P

I'm going to work tomorrow so hopefully I can locate a box that won't be too much bigger than the goods inside of it... Overseas postage just costs an arm and a leg!

But my little brother was at my place for a few days begging for your set... He just wanted it to trade for an Armorized Shredder...

Do you have the Ooze containers? They were usually about $8-9, but Walmart has them on clearance for under $1 each. I can throw a set of those in too if you want! Let me know and I will do a Walmart run!

I didn't think Crazy Clowin' Mike was "scarey"...

zkarlette 01-17-2006 07:48 PM

Feudal Shedder ......same reason why I didn't buy Gen that crumbling in defeat action is terrible , its a shame cause the desing was kind of cool

pwnage 01-18-2006 07:48 PM

Dr. Malignus.

Mobius One 01-19-2006 10:27 AM

I have Traximus and I also hate the fall apart feature. Also, Hamato Yoshi looks like a McDonalds toy to me.

Out of the old line, I didn't really hate any except for those stupid Toon Turtles. They just didn't fit in with anything else.

zkarlette 01-20-2006 07:22 PM

Indeed Traximus is the other one with that awful crumble in defeat feature like Gen and feudal shredder thats why I didn't get one either... its really a shame cause I really wanted those figs....

NoPressApril 05-12-2007 08:30 PM

The Worst vintage figure in my opinion is Mutatin April <shudder> I mean the bulkiness scared me.

Ninjinister 05-12-2007 08:40 PM

There are some I like less than others, but I don't hate any. I'd have to say any of the variants that had no basis with the Turtles were amongst them. April the Ravishing Reporter (although I don't own it) blew as well... it was basically an action-figure sized April-Barbie.

Nostalgia82 05-12-2007 10:15 PM

I guess any of the silly varients like the army commando turtles or the rock n roll turtles. The storage shells were great though.

I agree, streetwalkin' April wasn't high on my list either though she did add a little something extra to the top of the sewer playset  Her and a couple of Police Academy the Series figures and viola the streets of New York never seemed more realistic. :D

I don't even know what the devil a Sweet Valley High is.

Although I do know the obscure T-Rex and Yeti figures for the 2K3 line were recolored Primal Rage figures.

I do (I believe it's a requirement for any girls my age), but I had no clue that there were ever SVH figures... the thought is a bit creepy, really.

I agree completely. I worked at Target when the Usagi figure first hit. I walked past him on the peg and was blown away by the sculpt. I picked him up seen the action feature and put him back down. My god Playmates ruined one of the most beautiful figures i've ever seen. :(

Poor Gen got the action figure treatment even worse... although I think I saw that complaint in a thread recently, so I won't go on whining about it.

fudal shredder does the same dumb crubmble feature.
I'm not sure if any of you guys have ever seen disneys babes in toyland movie but thats exactly what this dumb action feature reminds me of.
The toy maker made a toy that was allready broke and would fall apart.
It was a dumb idea in the movie and everyone hated it so why would it work in real life lol:lol:

NoPressApril 05-13-2007 04:31 AM

lol. Oh way off topic but i'm downloading that show that yall are ummm discussing so strongly in another thread, I can't wait to see it!!!!! I figure with my obsession with the O'neil lady since I was 5 buslady and Ivey will be tame to me. I'm giddy lol

ahaha I have a huge collection also but I've got a thing called life so I've had to sell allot of it off. I've kept a handfull of it though things I just can't see myself parting ways with some very rare stuff.

Hero 05-13-2007 05:01 AM

TMNT-Wise I'd say the Mouser II from 2k3.

Non TMNT wise I'd say that gorilla bloke from Animorphs

===HERO

Buslady 05-15-2007 10:25 PM

I hate to say, the worst out of my Raph collection is that damn giant sized Fighting Gear fig...he'd never stand right, always falling until finally, he fell off the entertainment center breaking a leg.:lol::lol:

I do hate those fall apart figs, that idea was idiotic. the fig's practically useless in the playability factor
