Red Sky Toon Screencaps

Since Red Sky was released on the first DVD. I thought maybe it was a good idea to have a sticky thread for the Red Sky version since it'safter the orignal but before the NM and NT. Could someone sticky this please?:)

For those of you not familar with Red Sky Series, this was by CBS Action Zone. The animation for this has completly changed.....

1. The New York sky is red. Thus, why they call it Red Sky Series
2. The theme song has quick screenshots of the 1st live action movie
3. The theme song has changed as well with a totally different beat then the orignal toon had
4. The turtles mask are a tad bit longer and their eye pieces are a bit bigger so you can see their whole eye plus the gren around the eye.
5. Micky no longer has his nunchucks. He uses a grappling hook with a turtle shell on it.
6. The turtles actually care about each other more then the orignal series.
7. April has blueish/green eyes and actually wears something other then that yellow jumpsuit

Sadly this was cancelled due to CBS wanting Educational shows instead. Bah, forget educational shows.....if I wanted educational shows I'd watch PBS, Nick Jr or go to school.

Here are screen caps to the "Red Sky" theme song

Insult? Where?:|

I didn't mean to insult anyone, especially not you.

I think by far the red sky series is one of the best if not the best of the series I just wish it would have lasted longer sad really...the moment shredder blew up the chanel 6 building tmnt had changed forever for me and like you said the way the tmnt splinter and all the characters acted changed I don't care what any hater says I flippin' love this show it's like a mix of the movies and the old toon mixed with a hint of mirage. I don't even see why everyone hates it so much anyway I have a bunch of pics to I'm gonna post
thanks for starting this turtledove I'm glad I'm not the only red sky fan around here!

oh my .this is he firist time i see that new tmnt.the drawing are cool

You know something I come to realize how much I loved the way these turtles look. It's an inbetween look from the orignal to the NT. I have relived my crush on RS Raph and RS Don.:) ah...a love triangle!

Ahhh... happy memories. That was a darn good show. Thanks for posting all these images!

I read that Putrescent posted about 100 images on page one, but I can't see them.:(

I can see all of them. I even commented on a few.

Red Sky wasn't too bad... but I can't stand the intro and I actually prefer not to see the green around their eyes. On the other hand, it looks like these guys actually paid attention to model sheets, and their faces don't slosh around as much when they turn like the older Turtles. And they're actually serious, so that's another plus.

 I liked the green around their eyes!It was pretty cool I thought. They do look more seroius I agree. I love the darker shades of green on them. I'll post more screen caps soon!

The 1 thing I DIDN"T like was Raph's voice on the eps before Red Sky.The "Turtle Power" ep, was 1.That 1 voice actor needed to be fired quick. He did a horrible job!:x

Anyways more Red Sky coming soon

The backgrounds really got quite dark and gothic, didn't they? A little like the 60s Spider-man series.

Mikey losing his nunchuckas? Hrmm, must've been around the time they were getting phased out by most media... but kinda disappointing... so Leo could still have his katana, Raph his sci, Don his bo staff but mikey has a grappling hook...

That'd be useful in a close quarter fight.

Still, wish I could've seen the Red Sky series, did Burne Thompson, Vernon or Irma appear much after Channel 6 was reduced to a pile of rubble? I think I'll have to try pick up the DVD, should it have reached British shores.

It was a continuation of the orginal cartoon so it's not after the original it is part of the original.

[QUOTE=Turtleman100][QUOTE=Turtleman100]http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...p/Dregg545.jpg

You know they could use Dregg in the new series I mean they will use the Turtle Monster but Don is the one who turn into the monster. So why can't they use Dregg. I would like to see a new cartoon verson of Dregg in the new series because he is a cool bad guy for them to fight. He can have his arm of what ever they are and weapon beyond space and time. He needs to be in the new series . Can I see more pictures if you have them or a website where I can get them please ?
thank you

sweet a triple post

edit:actually a quadruple post

A big one... HAR!

Worry not, maybe a merciful mod will just delete your first three posts...

Any more pictures of Monster Leo we can see. and where are you getting these pictures from. I know your getting them from The DvD but Get Shredder is not on there. If you could can I see a pictures of the Robot Turtles and the Monster Turtles. Please and thank you

Can someone please make this a sticky:?: It's worth it. The original toon screen caps don't have hardly any of the red sky images. This could spur some people on to put more of these eps images on here.
