future Raphael And Donatello

i was wondering...

has there ever been a story to explain what is the deal with the future raph & don in the archie universe (i'm referring to the ones in my avatar) or where leo & mike are?

cuz i've been brainstorming an idea for several months now and i think it's pretty good, but if it's been explained i don't wanna waste my time

heretic888 12-22-2002 12:31 PM

ahem

yes. reference the 'Cyber Samurai Mutant Ninja Turtles' storyarch.

Donatello 12-22-2002 12:38 PM

was it in-depth or merely mentioned?

heretic888 12-22-2002 01:17 PM

hmmm

It was quite in-depth, showing the characters' various lives 100 years in the future. The future turtles are also mentioned in volume 3 of the tmnt universe sourcebook.

Raph has an eye patch and a cap and has a relatioship with a mutant fox named Mezcaal; Leo still wears his old blue mask and is in charge of martial arts dojo/ninja clan (they are vigilante ninja that are respected by the law, and a silouette of Splinter's head is their clan symbol); Don just wears a big purple jacket and sporta an electric bo staff and is in charge of some technology company or something; and Mike runs an orphanage, is an artist, wears a full orange skullcap and alternates between a black leather jacket and a white and black jersey, and he sports two nunchaku and two katana (I guess he is a much better ninja in the future).

thanks heretic, i really appreciate you explaining everything for me,

i might still do my story, i mean every comic universe has it's different timelines right?

Shellfox 12-22-2002 03:30 PM

Raphs hat also has the Turtle Island logo, a Nightclub/resterant that he and Mezcal run. It's also hinted that Mez is the decendant of Ninjara

Doesn't this go in the General forum?

Karpo_007 12-22-2002 05:08 PM

General TMNT to be excact.

Donatello 12-22-2002 10:07 PM

sorry this does go under general, when i started this new topic i didn't realize i was still under "new"

how do i move it?

Karpo_007 12-23-2002 04:08 AM

Only moderators can move threads and it seems that one did.

That's ok, dude. I loved the future TMNT! Infact, they really should've done the third movie on that storyline instead of Feudal Japan. But I guess they didn't want to go mimicking Back to the Future Part 2 or anything.

Karpo_007 12-23-2002 09:49 AM

They couldn't have done any futuristic stuff with that budget...

Jephael 12-23-2002 09:52 AM

True, but I'm talking about a completely different TMNT movie, one more like the second but without any of that campy nonsense they crammed into it.

why did tmnt have a low movie budget, the tmnt were the biggest thing around that time

Karpo_007 12-24-2002 10:16 AM

Because it wasn't. Second movie flopped, the Volume 2 wasn't selling so good, it was downtime for TMNT. I guess the Toys were selling ok because they bothered to do a third movie.

MzTheInsomniac 12-24-2002 12:25 PM

the second movie grossed a pretty good amount of money

Karpo_007 12-24-2002 12:49 PM

Not it didn't compared to the first movie.

MzTheInsomniac 12-24-2002 12:55 PM

yea, but no sequel could ever beat out the first

Donatello 12-24-2002 01:21 PM

well tmnt were showing signs of wear by the time tmnt 3 came out, the second one did well, but by the time the third one came out the cartoon was lower in ratings (this is close when red sky starts) and some of the figures were short-changed, like hot spot, scratch, and a few others.

plus, tmnt 3 really was pretty bad, there were a few decent parts, but it was greatly flawed.

The new puppeteers were horrendous, they didn't look at all life-like, their eyes were too big, you could see the neck-line, and they took every oppritunity not to move their mouths. i know they said they had budget reasons so thats why they didn't use the creature shop, but henson already had the puppets made, wouldn't that save money?

the acting in tmnt3 was terrible, and raphael giving yoshi that yo-yo would've destroyed the space-time continuum

i never noticed that but it would have

Donatello 12-24-2002 01:40 PM

there is one thing that i never understood in that movie(well there's a couple things, but this was the biggest one), why were the tmnt on the ancient scroll in feudal japan?, i'd understand if they were shone on a present scroll as legendary heroes, but how would the be ancient heroes before feudal japan?

does this mean that they went, or are gonna go back in time again, but before feudal japan?

Kali 12-24-2002 02:04 PM

Or it could be a totally unrelated legand in Japan. Freaky coincedence.

Shellfox 12-24-2002 05:27 PM

Always wanted an ansewer to that too

Jephael 12-24-2002 05:56 PM

Hey if you'd like, check out my fic "Curse of the Scepter" and it may help answer your question.
