Tonight, the remainer of the awards were dished out in a somewhat peculiar fashion. There were winners, and unfortunately, there were losers.

But no one loses here at the First Annual Fakey Awards! Best Overall Member? Who needs it! Most Artistic Member? Blah! What we need is some good ol' fashioned nonsensical awards to show your fellow members just how damn cool they are. Just be sure to take em with a grain of salt.

Great Idea, DH. Cause you know what? There's waaaay too much of this "johnny-come-lately" stuff! Why back in MY day, we had folks who won awards for surviving 24 hours in Krang's Backyard BBQ pit chock fulla PIT VIPERS! HA! How'd you YOUNG'UNS LIKE THAT?! EH?!? We had ONLY 7 MODS an' only ONE General Discussion section fer EVERYTHING! Hell, TA REGISTER ALONE you had to pass through initiation! I've still got marks from that branding iron!

The most awesome thing of all--that has YET to be topped... would have to be the clot of us who would post for upwards of 7 hours at a time at no less than 3 minute intervals in the RPG section. There's 3 mammoth threads in there b/c we kept clogging the forums and had to break up the game into 3 separate parts cause the Drome's server couldn't handle it. There's over 15,000 posts in those threads combined and the game spanned 6 months of uninterrupted play. For those of you who can't/won't do the math on your own that's a rate of approx 85 posts a day--for SIX MONTHS! Heck--some'a you ain't even BEEN here that long.

So. Yes, congratulate the latest hottie. Pat the back of the newest fan artist/writer. Throw a parade for the cleverest person 3v3r.

it wasn't always logical. there were plot holes you could drive a semi through. and lord knows the whole 'story' wandered around in circles like a drunk with one foot nailed to the floor.

but it was COHERENT. and the characters were AWESOME. And we broke the drome twice by pushing post counts on individual threads up so damn high. So raise a glass. RAISE ANYTHING! And toast with me: To my fellow Roleplayers of SO VERY long ago!

Thing is? I know there's people named on that banner that these folks've never heave HEARD of! Vespera's not frequented these parts in a dog's age. And Terran's not had time, since the twins started crawling.

There should be an award for anyone from 2002 and up who's still here. I was looking through things in the member list last night... and sure, there's 12 or so pages of "people registered in 2001 and 2002," but most of 'em are all "starting members" or something like that. I'd lay money there's fewer than 30 of us OLD old timers left.
