New Ep Discussion: "Adventures In Turtle Sitting"
Hey, wasn't there an episode of the old cartoon with the same name?
Anyway, discuss :D Much, MUCH better than last week's episode. |
Like, Zoinks! I totally loved today's episode...including Mike's "Like, ZOINKS!" and "Mahamana-hamna-hamna" line as he bolted from Donny. Left me in stitches, it did... :P |
Not bad, definately felt like a setup episode though. Mike's lines were great  Was it just me or was anyone else waiting for Splinter to show up.
Glad he finally made an appearance at the end. So for everyone wondering where Leatherhead is, there ya go. Totally confused about the Bishop, Baxter thing though. Don't even know where to begin on that... Just don't get it, he all ready had Baxter.... Didn't he?:-? |
Hey, did anyone actually feel sorry for Stockman?
|
Great episode! i loved everything about it! I thought it had a nice way of leading into Don's mutation and at the same time showed the guys still battling away to solve the same issue of mutating animals. I really like the ideas for all the creatures they have mutated. It looked like huge crabs today, really wicked looking!
It was also the perfect time to bring back Leather head. Who else could they have gone to, he was perfect for this episode. The whole Stockman thing is getting a little sickening. I haven't missed any episodes but I can't quite remember how he ended up in the river Bishop pulled him from???? I wonder why they didn't just leave Don with Splinter in the first place? He ended up back down in the sewer anyway. The preview before the title credits really hooked me, but none of it wasn't in the episode at all. I really wish they would have let it been an hour of this two part episode, I enjoyed the look back and all the hype for this 100 episode but I really can't wait till next week!!! |

i felt like we were missing something? Bishop falling into an ocean? The new Battle Shell? Months of fighting mutants? and its kind of too late for it cuz if they show it later, don will still be sickly and it will be all out of continuity. leatherhead came out of nowhere. now wheres fugitoid? April and Casey seemed really different to me in this episode. OK episode.
|
Good episode I like the mutated don. The funny part is casey say to don " leave my girl friend alone" meaning april. Baxter a new look again.:o We now know leatherhead is still around, will he make a cure to turn don back to normal?:P Well it looks like bishop is trying to clean up the mutant out break with the help of baxter or cover up his mistakes so the goverment will not find out bishop is the one who created the mutants.8)
|
I was confused about Stockman being pulled from the ocen also. When the hell did this happen. I have seen all the episodes and do not remember him getting stuck in the ocean. Great episode, reminded me of how it happened to leo in the old show.

theres gotta be a back story that will be shown telling us this "months" of information that has happend.....i loved how mutated don looked. casey look real sharp all dressed up. and i was so confused at first with baxter. i didnt realize it was him right away cuz he was in that huge mech thing b4.....i really hope the guys get a cure for don cuz its gonna suck if they dont....one thing good thing about mutated don is that theres a good chance hes gonna be a figure now woot!

This season is making the original series canon look cohearant. This is all 4Kids fault presumbly, I bet you my ass this was not supposed to be the 100th episode in production order, and they wanted a major change for the show to draw in big ratings, so they forsaked the continuity and brought us straight up to Dons' plight.
Someone e-mail Danny about this mess, this is ridiculous. |
A nice action packed episode! Woohoo! I totally loved the transformation sequence. Poor Don, but OH the angst! XD The Casey and April interaction was my favorite part of this episode. I loved every bit of that, especially when Casey tried to get April to run to safety. Awwwwww! <3 I wonder if the season finale will have anything to do with the two of them finally tying the knot? That'd be great!
I loved the guys' and Splinter's reactions to Monster Donnie, especially Leo. Oh man, his last line about gave me chills. I can't wait for next week!!! Leather Head was a good choice for the guys to go to for help. As much as I can't stand him, he was useful, huh? ^^ And Stockman...I'm starting to think Kikyou here...just let the guy croak already. o_o I have to be at work in a half hour, so I don't have time to post much right now. Maybe I'll think of more later. :3 |

I liked this week's episode. GamerDon looked great. Can't wait to see him and Leatherhead slug it out. |

Nice stuff! Man, Donny looked terrible! I just wanted to like... give him a Tylenol or something. And I also liked how when he DID change, he didn't go 100% GameraDon immediately. He had this passing stage where he could still talk but was losing his mind rapidly.
Oh... and Casey dressed in a suit: :tlol: Huzzah for Leatherhead! But you're right, Zarius... this does seem a little outta joint with the rest of the series. I get the impression that they had too much story and too few epsiodes this season... which could explain it. I just hope there is some stuff to give a background to this. More than just the short. Ah well. And did anyone notice... Leatherhead's voice had a definite Cajun edge! He's never had that before. I appreciate the reference to the old toon, but why not do that all along? Maybe they thought they could get away with it because we haven't seen him in so long. Either way, if Leatherhead ever says the word "gumbo" in this show, I will die laughing. |

At the end of the preview for next week it looked like the fight ended up in a lab. Bishop's?? I think they will cure him next week, I don't see this going on very long. Can't wait to see it though. I am thinking Leatherhead is keep Donny contained while the guys hunt Bishop down. As for all the lost season stuff maybe after that is released and the start with the Fast forward plotline we will see them get back on track. There are too many different storylines to keep straight without all the timeline confusion. I think masked ninja makes a point, too much story too little episode. |

In any event, if 4Kids did indeed skip some episodes in favour of airing this one as the 100th offering, those lost episodes are likely part of the 13-ep "Lost Season" (as mentioned by Rat King.) And aren't we getting that on DVD? Nothin' to get worked up over. |
Deep in the bowels of the sewer, lurks a monster feared by humans, rats, and turtles alike…
GameraDon! Great episode (not one of my all time favorites), but it gets kudos for including mutated Donatello. The script seemed a little rushed and there are obviously some episodes that were skipped over to make this episode the 100th episode. Yet, it doesn’t really agitate me; anything to help the turtles’ popularity is good, right? (Er…maybe not Fast Forward) And, apparently, not much has really happened in the episodes 4Kids skipped over. I mean, it was all pretty easy to follow (sans the whole Baxter mutilation), however, I was extremely perturbed by the fact that the writers just used a pretty weak plot device in having the turtles bring Don over to April’s apartment to speed up the episode. It really made no sense. Why don’t you just leave him with Splinter; it’s not like the old rat’s got much to do these days. Either way, this episode had a cool idea, and it’s nice to see Leatherhead again. This season has felt very slow moving to me, and it really did need a radical change like this to speed the pace up a little bit. Again, great episode, and Anarchistguy, this episode takes it’s title from the sixth season episode of the original toon, which (in my opinion) was by far, the worst episode in the old series, but it’s a close tie between that episode and Sleuth on the Loose (Blah!) |
It is a shame that they had to skip a few episodes to show this one. And did anyone feel ripped-off by the one hour bit? I wish they would have shown both episodes instead of showing an episode that we've seen a billion times before.
Anyway, this episodes--despite the continuation problems--is still a very good episode. Lots of action and some truely good monster design for once. The crabs are actually cool. Stockmen is actually creepy! |
"That's my girlfriend, and you can't have her!"
http://www.geocities.com/jafarnut/blink.gif Why did I get the feeling they were sort of, in a roundabout way, catering to the Don/April/Casey tension that some of us have wondered about (like, why they seem to avoid the idea, and we don't see it much at all)? It was like they felt like they could indirectly adress it when he's a big slavering monster, rather than when he's a rational character and it would be too angsty. I mean, they didn't have to have Casey phrase it that way... But I also liked: "Dude... you are seriously cramping my style here." "Sorry... *glub, sniffle*" :goofygri: Their scene timing gets on my nerves on occasion: during the scene in April's basement... "What is that thing?!" And I'm saying "Hello! April! Now's a good time to tell them!", and they wait a good minute or two, and she only says so after Don goes charging off, when Raph repeats the question. I'd think that would have been important to tell them that before they'd gotten too deep in a fight with him. What if they'd managed to kill him? "Oh yeah, by the way, that was Don". Did you notice that all of Kirby's things are still in his room? I thought that was interesting... I guess it survived the fire, being in the basement. Now... What on earth? I don't remember Baxter ending up in the river, or an 'unorthodox sabbatical', as Bishop put it. I seem to recall that the last time we saw him was when he had just contained that mutated electrician. I think I'd remember if he'd had a trauma again... Did we miss something? :-? Hmm... Judging from the other comments around here, nobody knows how he ended up in the river. And last time Bishop and Baxter talked, they seemed to be on better terms than they were here. I guess we really haven't seen it yet. Okay.... what happened to the airing order? I hate out-of-order airing... :( Poor Baxter, though (yeah, I've always felt sorry for him, he's likeable, in a crazy/sinister/pitiful sort of way). He really is tired; I wondered why he didn't give up a long time ago. I don't think his current form is permanent, though... it looks more like a framework, to me, like "If you behave, we'll put muscles and skin on that for you". Quote:

EDIT: More junk to say.. :) I don't think the missing continuity is the "lost season" episodes... they were the beginning of the fifth season. We're not done with the fourth season yet, and besides, I really doubt the writers would purposefully cut an episode that had such important continuity as telling what happened to Baxter. I personally think this is on the network end, rather than the production team's end. The cut episodes are a production decision. Airing order is ultimately up to the network. Quote:
Hrm... speaking of that, it still bothers me that they haven't explained where they found that moving van at... more missing eps? :( |
    Due to NASCAR, I have to wait till Sunday to see this episode. Why me? I do enjoy reading spoilers:evilgrin: I can't wait to see this episode.

Wow that episode was pretty cool, but next weeks looks better. I can't wait to see LH and Don fight. About time we saw LH again I was starting to get mad! Also what happened to Baxter was pretty messed up, but still awesome. What is Bishop talking about? What crash? I don't remember that and I don't think I've missed any episodes from season 4, atleast episodes after Outbreak, where Stockman was fine.
I've been watching the Red Sky seasons recently. I'm on Carter The Enforcer right now. THis episode kinda reminded me of the turtles mutations in that show. |
Fairly decent episode.
Casey cleans up nice...and April dresses down...erm..interstingly... I'm with everyone else...we are obviously missing episodes again...an i bet they are part of the lost season :( Dangit! 4Kids...if you think TMNT is causing your decline in ratings....you could try showing them in ORDER!!! Continuity is so important in this show. Just goes to prove the 4Kids suits aren't watching the show anyway  Enough of the rant. It was good to see Leatherhead alive and well. And I liked the famliness at the end with everyone vowing to take care of Don no matter what....that's love for ya....gooood family. There were a few things that bothered me...the one that stands out the most at the moment was how the containment cage seemed to get bigger (conveniently) after leather head put it down....but it's a minor thing. Good episode in all. Can't wait to see where it all ends! |
Stellar episode. Those mutants look so cool. And FINA-FRICKEN-LLY, we see Leatherhead again. Great fight scense, and it's setting up for something good.
As for Stockman, maybe the whole incident with him will be explained next episode, or the epsidoe after. You know how complex the storylines are in this show. Also, I loved the ending, definatley gave off an Epire Strikes Back-feel. 9.5 out of 10 (had to take points off for slight animation flubs but still a kickass episode). Also, My theory on Baxter , That mutant electrician turned on him, tore him up, and his brain got dumped in the river. |

Well at least we know Don's secondary mutation lasts for several episodes. This was a nice set up to next week tho and we at least know Leatherhead's alive and well. We apperantly missed something tho since Leatherhead and Don have been working together for several weeks. Plus Baxter apperantly fell in the river. Poor Baxter...Bishop should have just allowed him to die once and for all. And the preview for next week...Oi...Gameradon vs Leatherhead...lets just hope that that battle doesn't end like the Gameraph vs Leatherhead battle in the comics. It was a bit odd to see Casey all fancy for a date with April (who was dressed as a biker...*L*). I wonder where Auggie and Robyn are tho? Fave quotes: "Don't eat Raph! You don't know where he's been!" - Mike "Zoinks!" - Mike And of course Casey telling Don to get away from HIS girlfriend. IMO the reason Don went after April was cuz he chose her to be his mate. Oh and here's an image of Gameraph from the comics..note how much Gameradon looks like him! http://www.tribalpages.com/tpphotos/...hul_246015.jpg |
I love this episode. one reason is Don is my favorite Turtle. April and Casey going out on a date (first one right). that cool. Did Don make that Ghostbuters backpack they were wearing those were cool but Raph didn,t have a gun. The first part were leo is talking. The scene didn't happen when Don slam Mike in the brick wall, Grab Raph and pulled him in the dark, and about to fight Leo. That did not happen. Great to see Leatherhead. Is Don going to get bigger or stay the way he is. I liked the end of the episode it was very turning to me that is. Splinter: My son.
|
You know if they are showing them out of order, then the Stockman thing is proof of that. I mean the crash Bishop mentioned didn't just happen out of nowhere.
I just went ahead and E-mail'd Dan about it. |
Whoa this was a pretty good episode. I missed the last two but from what I've been hearing no big loss. But I would have seriously hated myself for missing this one. Good thing they aired it a little later. I missed the first few minutes but I got the gist of it. Great episode overall.
And yeah I did feel sorry for Baxter. That design is hideous. That was pretty sick the way they attached living tissue (muscle) onto him. :dead: And just WHAT was up with that river reference. I'm wondering if this is what leads to the lost season but who knows. Arrrghh...I hope it wasn't more out of order nonsense. :x *sigh* And I knew they would do it. But it still annoys me how they just introduced Leatherhead back with no explanation of where he was. Oh well do they ever? Still glad to have the big croco back. And yeah I did notice a difference. Did they change voice actors on us? Another thing I noticed is that he seems to be far more in control of his emotions. Not once did he get so mad that his eyes changed. I'm guessing a big part of what he's been up to has been getting a handle on that temper. |

Great eppie, though. And as sorry and hurting as I still am for the family, I'm kinda/sorta GLAD that they DIDN'T try to cure Donnie in one 30-minite ep. Although I DON'T think I like the idea of them winding up in Area 51 next week very much....ESPECIALLY Donnie and Leatherhead! That's BISHOP'S turf!!!:o :o :o :o :o Anywho, peace. |

I really liked the Ep I think that the only thing that threw me off was what happened to stockman , I mean he was already a robot.... when was he trown back on the river ???and why was he so upset and weird looking its like something was really missing?
plus the guys having all this new gear and being "fully prepared " after just coming back from visiting the dinosaurs, Its like they skipped and Ep or something:ohwell: Besides all that I really liked it but I really feel bad for Don and he does look exactly like gamera Raph, I can't wait to see next weeks Ep:) but I do hope that Don's situation is only temporary. |

People people, there's not need to wonder about the possible missing episodes and continuation problems. The show IS out of order and I can tell you that and I don't work for the show. It's not just Baxter's comments that don't make sense, plenty of things don't make sense. Letterhead appears out of nowhere and have been working with Don for the past few weeks. The guys get brand new gear out of nowhere. A brand new battle shell out of nowhere. What, did they just jump out of the Musem of Natural History and grabbed the car back?
Raph: Hey Leo, there's a shiny new car parked in front of the museum, can we steal it? Leo: Sure! No wait, they actually teleported straight home after the battle with Savanti. Baxter having a tragic accident out of nowhere. |

But please, correct me if I'm wrong... these "lost season" episodes were the original beginning of the fifth season, right? (therefore, it wouldn't have been time to air them yet anyway) And would the production team even give the network something to air that relies heavily on the continuity set up by something they didn't plan to air? I really, highly, doubt it. The production team has proven to be very conscientious. I think the network's been misbehaving lately, and they've aired something out of order.. I may be wrong, but I'll be surprised. Aaaugh! Bring back my continuity!! :ohwell: I did think Leatherhead sounded a little different. I'm fairly sure it's the same voice actor, he's just taking a different approach to the voice. I don't know if I'd call it Cajun, but it was kind of different. :) *looks around* Am I allowed to say the name of next week's ep? It sounds kind of spoiler-ish in itself. Not necessarily obvious what it means, though. |
The lost season are episodes that 4Kids didn't want to air or even produce, so Laird paid the animation team extra money to get the episodes made so they can be released to the fans. So their not even made yet...
