Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at Disney-MGM Studios.(With Video!!!!!!!!)

For anyone who wasn't lucky enough to see them in person here is a great recording of it, probably around '90. It's just as good as the real thing, I assume, except for the part where you could take pictures with them.

Man they could dance!

Thank you YouTube.

I just saw the first one so far, and that was fun! And I agree, they have pretty sweet moves! :D

I'll go see the second link soon.

sdp 04-20-2006 02:31 PM

the new show has great storylines, plot, dark, etc.
it is superior to the old show in every way

except the old show has just a "fun" factor and attitude, that is what makes it (and all old toon related stuff) so cool, i have a blast watching it. and the new toon can't replace that.

Superior in every way? I would have to dissagree with that.

Gemma 04-20-2006 06:13 PM

Hehe, that was great.

They are pretty good movers.

I had to laugh when the guy behind the camera got a little lost though, heh.

Jester 04-20-2006 10:46 PM

And those dear friends are why TMNT is sometimes looked down upon...:P Cool finds, if a little cheesy! :P

Right. In terms of humor, theme songs, and video games, the old toon skools the new one.

Also, the writting was good in the old show, for a show of it's type.

The characters, also fit in a show of it's type, but still, the new toon closer represents theyr'e comic selves(well, Leo, Mikey, and Raph are similar to their movie selves while Don is a more updated version of his old toon self).

But in action and animation, yes, the new toon beats the old.

the Disney MGM Turtle costumes are the BEST Turtle costumes EVER!
They are much better even than the costumes from the Turtles movies!

Foot Soldier 04-28-2006 03:59 PM

Very nice video :o :o

Deathknight 04-28-2006 09:51 PM

Dude, I so remember that! I saw it when I was going into 1st grade and I got all the TMNT's autographs. Those actors were really good at what they do. Though April screws up and says Raphael is cool but crude instead of rude.

It is CRUDE instead of RUDE in the intro.

BigApple3AM 04-29-2006 12:20 AM

Are you sure it's crude? I hear rude.

Weapon X 04-29-2006 12:28 AM

Go listen again.

Sewer Bull 04-29-2006 01:29 AM

I hear "crude".

ThemanthatwouldbeRaphael 04-29-2006 03:13 AM

It's Crude. I've heard that song 2000 times, it's Crude.

BigApple3AM 04-29-2006 11:11 AM

I don't hear the C, I'm listening to it right now. I don't know how you guys can be so sure of yourselves, it really doesn't sound like crude. It makes more sense to rhyme dude with rude anyway. Someone try contacting Cam Clarke and see what he says he said. Otherwise I don't think any of us can be sure of what it is, it's too close.

It could be "prude" as well. Or even "nude". Both these words rhyme perfectly with "dude", just like "crude" and "rude".

... let's make a poll!

BigApple3AM 04-29-2006 12:30 PM

Don't be a smartass.

Duke 04-29-2006 12:47 PM

And the winner is crude

Sewer Bull 04-29-2006 01:05 PM

Duke, you spoilsport you.

BigApple3AM 04-29-2006 01:15 PM

That's what all the online lyrics say. It's not that I don't recognize that's what everyone thinks, it's just that I don't hear it when I play the song. You guys say crude probably only because you went and searched a lyrics engine, which is probably what that's taken from. I emailed Cam Clarke, but even if he says it's crude I still hear rude and that's what I'm gonna keep saying :)

Duke 04-29-2006 02:51 PM

No, it wasn't from some random search. It is from the official TMNT site. Key word being official. Not a fan site but the actual mirage site. And I'm sorry that I acted like a spoil sport but on the bright side some people still don't believe it is crude. So, I guess the controversy continues.

BigApple3AM 04-29-2006 05:06 PM

And what I'm saying is that the site is run by Dan Berger. Did he write the song? No. Did Mirage even have much involvedment in the old cartoon? Not at all, that's why we have the new cartoon. I'm contacting people that would actually know the lyrics. Even if it was meant to be crude, the c isn't pronounced in the theme which makes it definitely sound like rude.

Jo269976 04-29-2006 06:34 PM

Man, it really sucks the turtles aren't there anymore! my bro went to see them, but i never it's so unfair! but hopefully in the future they'll come back to MGM and i'll be getting the first plane ticket there :D

Zachatello00 04-30-2006 04:33 PM

I remember when the turtles came to MGM. I saw them there. ah, the memories...

I agree. I've been saying "rude" for 18 years now. I just played the song again several times and I hear "rude". Besides, it's not the first time I've ever seen something "officially" written down one way and a minor part of it being sang another way.

At least I'm not one of those people running around singing "Turtles on a Half Shell" or calling them "Injin Turtles".

BigApple3AM 05-01-2006 07:41 PM

Or calling Raph "Ralph", I hate that one the most. Seems to happen often, even by fans. When I hear Ralph I think of some fat balding man with glasses, or someone blowing chunks.

NeoBix 05-01-2006 07:41 PM

Ok, in the second video... Raph and Mikey definitely just got done smoking some green stuff before they filmed that. lol

One of my friends always writes it as Ralph and I die laughing everytime. Many because he is a Donnie fan but writes that as Donie instead.
