I like!

DrSpengler 07-20-2006 04:29 PM

Dear Michael Bay,

THIS is how you make a teaser.

Love,
DrSpengler

Mecha Cow 07-20-2006 04:30 PM

The CGI isn't Pixar level or anything, but it looks pretty good, I like it. The animation is GREAT, much better than I expected. I am officially looking forward to this movie.

C'mon, the TF teaser was a good teaser. It teased! They're gonna keep the robots hidden for as long as possible me thinks.

Raph's Girl 07-20-2006 04:36 PM

Awesome! Poor Mikey tho! "Im Ok!"

iris 07-20-2006 04:47 PM

Not bad. Pretty awesome, in fact. It made me laugh, which is good.

Eh... what's KMRG?

TigerClaw 07-20-2006 04:48 PM

Awesome trailer. :)

OldSchooler 07-20-2006 04:56 PM

This sheds some interesting details that may be pertinent to the film...

I wonder why they were out so late.

TheGreenMagic 07-20-2006 05:18 PM

Well that's an interesting censor in place on the IGN video...

OldSchooler 07-20-2006 05:24 PM

More news from SHH:

- Writer-director Kevin Munroe was present and revealed five minutes of footage from the anticipated film, which is set after the second live action movie.

- He said that the film will feature hidden jokes from the comics and animated series.

- Splinter will be voiced by Japanese actor Mako (Conan the Barbarian anyone?). The other voices will be announced in a month, but they are not well-known celebrities.

- Shredder is not the villain in the story, though he does make an appearance, which might set up the conflict for the sequel.

- Expect Casey Jones and April to develop a relationship.

- Marco Beltrami is doing the score, and they are looking to create a theme for the "Turtles" CG movies, something memorable like the "Batman" theme.

- One of the scenes shown features a turtle dressed up for a kids party, and the kids beat him up, with one of the little girls kicking him in the balls. A lot of action scenes were also shown, like the turtles on skateboards, hang gliders, etc.

- The movie features a bat character and female ninja characters.

- There is a human villain, who may or may not be named Winter.

BigApple3AM 07-20-2006 05:32 PM

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch! But wait...they...I thought they were in their tails....Well that certainly answers that question :P

Whoa wait...they're already planning a sequel?! And Shredder is in this even tho he died in the 2nd film?!

Mecha Cow 07-20-2006 05:40 PM

I didn't even know the TMNT had balls.

Well, aside from the 'Bat character' (No mutants, please), this stuff sounds really good. And I'm the first to admit that the Shredder is kind of overexposed, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about him making an appearance (Wait, isn't he supposed to be dead?).

OldSchooler 07-20-2006 05:40 PM

I was pretty sure he was dead in the first one...

Mecha Cow 07-20-2006 05:42 PM

You know that, I know that, but TMNT II doesn't know that.

BigApple3AM 07-20-2006 05:48 PM

This movie takes place directly after the original movie. So if TMNT 2 brought him back, then this replacement for TMNT 2 can bring him back too ;)

Leonardo_Warrior_Turtle 07-20-2006 05:50 PM

I thought this movie takes place after the second movie? Taking all of the first movie canon and parts of the second one. Well if that's the case, it sounds like that the Shredder didn't die then. I don't think they are keeping the whole "Super Shredder" thing in canon. Which, I have always found ridicious.

Anyway, any chance this 5 minutes footage will be put up?

Yes!

That guy's got such an awesome voice. He's fantastic on Samurai Jack, Duck Dogers and Avatar.

Not only does the movie look good, but so does the game.

tmnt84 07-20-2006 05:58 PM

:o it drips excellence

Jo Dawn 07-20-2006 06:05 PM

*jumps up and down* Yayyy!

It got me all excited for the TMNT again. I'll even ignore the so called rumored plot to it, lol.

Now, all I have to worry about is the VOICES. Whish will make or break this puppy for me. I worry about the voices more than anything else.

But I like. I like!! ;) :D

Sliced 07-20-2006 06:10 PM

That was excellent.

I'm amazed at the animation, it was quite good. I love the style.

Big relief here, atleast, the animation won't be his downfall at all. Now lets wait for the real story and characters... (fingers are crossed)

About shredder, we don't know, it might just be someone else trying to continue his ''legacy'' a la ''karai'' style...

I'm also impressed that mickey did not died from that fall :P

Leonardo Mystic 07-20-2006 06:22 PM

I'm impressed. :) I'm going to definitely see this movie.

Spitfire 07-20-2006 06:30 PM

Wow that trailer was worth all this time we were in the darkness. Thank you for posting this..I'm excited to see this now.

The graphics in that game look horrible but I assume that's just because it's not finished. The game itself however looks awesome...I might actually get it...I never thought I'd buy a TMNT again.

J Legault 07-20-2006 06:53 PM

Gotta admit that the movie and video game look very promising.

the Turtles actually do look great in CGI form.

I'm still surprise it'll still take place after the 1991 movie TMNT 2. So does that mean it'll still take place in the 90s if so, it's cool.

the plot to it sounds cool in a way and can't wait to see the final form of the video game when it's ready for release.

Katie 07-20-2006 07:11 PM

all I can really say is...oooooooooooooooooh........8)

and is it just me or does Mike sound like he has his new toon voice [/wishful hearing?]

...now what will the people look like...?

iris 07-20-2006 07:20 PM

Ditto all that, Katie.

I'm so hyper right now I can barely type! How the heck am I supposed to study now...

Yea..I thought that sounded like Wayne Grayson too.

Raven 07-20-2006 07:23 PM

HOLY ****!!!

That was awsome! There movements were perfect, and it looks so gritty and dark, oh hell yes!

And the video game there working on looks amazing, one thing thats got me hyped up for the game is when that guy they were interviewing said there focusing on the ninja aspect :D Finally!!!!!

Now lets hope the story will be just as good.

Jester 07-20-2006 07:25 PM

I didn't hear it...but I also had the volume down so mom and dad could still hear the TV...looks great, anyone else think this is the first time the TMNT have actually LOOKED like teenagers with their build and all?

Cascadia 07-20-2006 07:43 PM

 I cannot view the trailer...stupid quicktime

Sliced 07-20-2006 07:44 PM

Yeah their look is a teenager's look. Only thing I didn't liked, Leo's profile when he look at Mikey... Looked more like a lizard than a turtle... But its nothing too big really.

I watched it again, hell yeah, this is soooooooo good to see. Been awhile

As for the people, I think, (judging from what we saw...) that they will look quite good. Maybe even better looking than humans in other animation movies.

P.S. How do you like my new sig and avy ? :D

iris 07-20-2006 07:47 PM

Yes, Leo looked a little lean/lanky... and I thought that was cool. They're not overbuilt like the current cartoon. That might be more believable for this format.

Cascadia 07-20-2006 07:50 PM

I like your new sig, Sliced

Sliced 07-20-2006 07:50 PM

I was talking about the face. The rest of the body is just fine (now that we saw it in motion). Head on, their faces is alright, but from a profile view, their heads looks more like a little lizard geiko style, than a turtle.

Cascadia 07-20-2006 07:59 PM

 still cannot view the trailer.

wwfwwe 07-20-2006 08:00 PM

So this Movie is not based off from the Toons?

Nooo.. altho Karai is in it ;).. This is based on the movies...it's a sequel to the 2nd one.

Oh and Sliced.. I LOVE your sig!

Cascadia 07-20-2006 08:06 PM

I guess that I will have to wait to watch the trailer when it is presented with Ant Bully. Neither the website or Quicktime would allow me to enjoy the trailer.
