If this is true, this is definitely a celebrity voice I can handle being in this movie!

But it's not him (from what I can tell) saying the "Every 3,000 years..." line in the trailer, and I had assumed that was Max Winters. If not, I wonder who that is... (unless that's not the final voice)

johnnyblaze 12-20-2006 10:16 AM

hopefully we can get some confirmation from Munroe

Buslady 12-20-2006 01:01 PM

Don't sound like Patrick to me. He's awesome. I loved ProfX....

I bet the "powers" are getting kicks out of us trying to figger out voices...

read what Kevin wrote in his last post in the Front Lines thread, I think he answered it already. Plus that may not even be his final voice that we heard in the trailer (kind of like how in the TMNT trailer they didn't have the final turtles voices) For all we know this could have been something they finalized recently

True. It's also possible that the voice we heard didn't belong to that character at all. We didn't see the voice matched up to Winters' lips, so it could just as easily be some other character's dialogue dubbed over for the sake of exposition.

Either way, I hope this news turns out to be true. I mean, who doesn't love Patrick Stewart?

Dr. Doom 12-20-2006 02:12 PM

I was about to say The Borg, but they did assimilate him at one point.

iris 12-20-2006 02:18 PM

Oooh... this is great! Some of my friends won't be able to resist seeing TMNT now.

gobo 12-20-2006 02:43 PM

But, they could before? O_o

Raph'N'Roll 12-20-2006 04:04 PM

Patrick Stewart is a fine actor and has a great distinctive voice, that's cool news, especially as I'm a bit of a trekkie.

Raph's Girl 12-20-2006 04:59 PM

OMG!!! DUUDE!!! Patrick Stewart in a TMNT movie?! Being both a TMNT fan, a Trekkie, and a Picard fanatic this is like a dream come true if it's indeed true!! DUUUUDE... :o

Now I gotta find a good piccie of Max Winters.... OH and get his action figure just so I can have it stand next to my Capt. Picard action figure!

So... I have 2 people to drool over now in the movie... Raph and Max Winters (but only if he's indeed voiced by Patrick Stewart)

Mandi-chan 12-20-2006 06:15 PM

Oh hell yeah!

Please, oh please let this be true!

I love Patrick Stewart, so it would be awesome for him to be a part of this film!

RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.

Good grief! Were all the Trekkies too excited to catch this setup or what? Sheesh... :P

ThemanthatwouldbeRaphael 12-21-2006 04:18 PM

It would be funny if he sends the monsters to off Johnathan Frakes for trying to upstage him back in TNG.

Raph's Girl 12-21-2006 05:21 PM

Well it's confirmed and all use Trekkie/TMNT fans can rejoice!! YAY!!! Picard rulz!!

Thanks, gobo. You're a knight in shining tritanium alloy! ;) :embarass:

wyze2099 12-24-2006 02:03 AM

Wow. First Star Trek, then X-Men, now TMNT. I'm starting to run out of fandoms Patrick Stewart hasn't acted in. Not that I can see a downside to that.... :)

Buslady 12-24-2006 02:06 AM

TREKKIE!? GAAAAAAAH...ugh...

I am a "Formal Admirer" of Star Trek first, a Trekker second but never ever a Trekkie. *shudders*

Roseangelo 12-24-2006 02:18 AM

I never did understand why Trekker = correct and Trekkie = BAD.

I love Star Trek, call me what you will. :)

iris 12-24-2006 02:27 AM

I've always ranked "Trekkie" as sounding better than "Trekker" on the Scale of Cool.

But I'm a 27-year-old ninja turtle fan so what the hell do I know? ;) (kidding!)

Haha, me too. ^_^

And while that's on the older side for TMNT fans, it's on the younger side for Star Trek fans (sorta). Trekkie vs. Trekker could be an age thing.

Death's Head 01-04-2007 05:24 PM

I've never been a fan of Star Terk, but I admire his work done as Charles Xavier. Charles was granted that sourt of. . .awesome property that a live-action version of him demanded. But just about any character he protrays has some kind of intelliectual perception, so I'm sure Winters will not be any different.

neatoman 10-29-2026 07:39 PM

You know, I actually liked this character. Maybe not the greatest one possible for this sort of story, but it is kinda nice that one of the TMNT movies had more of anti-villain, pretty much all the other antagonists in TMNT movies are just about as unambiguously evil as it gets.

ToTheNines 10-29-2026 07:48 PM

RIP Buslady

sdp 10-29-2026 09:05 PM

Fun fact, technodrome member oldmanwinters chose that name since he loved the portrayal of Patrick Stewart as Max Winters so much and well both the VA and the character were old men.

I liked him too. Honestly the entire movie is unfairly maligned in my opinion. I'd have been fine seeing TMNT go in that direction for a while with that quality of CG.

I guess in some ways TMNT 12 is a spiritual successor.

No, I was using that moniker several years before the movie deal got signed between Mirage and Imagi.

Nice stretch though!

sdp 10-30-2026 02:25 PM

No one is going to believe that. What, next you're going to tell me that TigerClaw isn't named after his favorite mutant TigerClaw?

IMJ 10-30-2026 02:42 PM

He registered in 2004.

To the sex offender list?

CyberCubed 11-02-2026 04:57 PM

It is ironic two users did name themselves after TMNT characters that didn't exist yet at the time they made their usernames. I guess that's proof any random collection of words could be a TMNT character at some point.

Wouldn't be surprised if someones username was "Fishface" at one point. In the original cartoon episode where April turns into a fish, she does call Ray "Fishface" in the episode. This was back in 1990.
