street fighter the movie, a schene I never knew...
I was recently watching STREET FIGHTER, based on the game, and ner the end, while ryu and Ken are fighting, Ken rips off his Biso sticker, whilst Rye has to take his whole shirt off. And, nearer the end, Dalsom (I don't know how to spell that) had hair before, and then at the end, he had no hair and those marks on his face which he had in the game.

That movie SUCKED!!! They made Guile the main charactrer. It's supposed to be Ken and Ryu. Balrog & Cammy are supposed to be bad guys & Zangief & Dee Jay are supposed to be good.If you want REAL SF action, I suggest you rent Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie or
Street Fighter Alpha: The Movie |

Yeah that movie really sucks... And Dhalsim lost his hair in explosion...
|
to some, it sucked. it was not supposed to be based totally on the game, but create its own version near the own plot. Heck, I loved it, it is right up there with the super mario Bros movie, which I give a five out of five .
|
Wow that one sucked too :dead:
|
Just like all video game based movies, Street Fighter blew the big one.
|
All except Mortal Kombat.
|
Mortal Kombat was ok but Mortal Kombat 2 snucked big time
|
I like resident evil, street fighter, super mario bros and the two mortal kombat movie only game i want to see as a movie is spyro the dragon

here's a movie based on a game id like to see..... tmnt 3d!! LOL
better yet, tournament fighters!!! that movie would kick ass!!! |
Ah, videogame movie adaptations. Some were good, some were too cheesy. Like the Double Dragon movie... Didn't like that one bit. However, I really enjoyed Tomb Raider and the original Mortal Kombat. Can't think of others that I'm fond of...
VGs that I'd like to see get the movie treatment: Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Metal Gear Solid, and Castlevania. :D |

I think that was the last movie of Raul Julia... Some way to leave the movie business...
|
Im curious, do you guys think Street Fighter the movie is the worst film in a decade, or the worst film ever? I could go either way. Then again, video game based movies, with the exception of Final Fantasy(cept that was all cgi) have to be a recipe for diaster(Super Mario, Double Dragon, Star Commander, tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat 1&2, Street Fighter, etc)

Ugh, that movie was horrible...if you wanna see a decent street fighter go watch street fighter II the animated movie, or street fighter zero the movie.
I was the only one in the planet that liked the live action SF movie :D but hey, it has GOMEZ ADDAMS AS VEGA :P Sigh, rip raul julia :( *thinks about vega and zangief dancing the mamushka together* ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! :dead: So anyways...the movie also had a game for psx and arcade (YES!That's right, a game based on a movie that was based on a game :P ) And it's as bad as the movie itself IMO...it has live action mortal kombat-like graphics...it's just bad :p |
Umm Nicko, Raul Julia was Bison...
|
street fighter wasn't that bad and i hope they make a 2nd movie.

Wow, never thought I'd find a discussion about Street Fighter canon.
Here's the whole shabang...because of not wanting to get sued by Mike Tyson(tho Simpsons havent been sued for 'Roderick Tatum'), and just other property changes when SF2 came to the US. The fascist looking dictator bad guy known as M. Bison is actually Vega. Vega just sounds cooler...but why Mike Bison? Well, because in Street Fighter One(1987) one of the characters was named Mike, a boxer who would later become Mike Bison(or M Bison) in Japan. But when SF2 came to the states he became Balrog. Balrog was originally the name of the masked Spanish fighter, who then became Vega. Vega became M. Bison, even though that makes no sesne as hes nothing like Mike tyson. So yeah, for over a decade a whole country oif players have been puzzled by this. As for the movie...anyone notice EVERY character from the SF2 games was either a millitary soldier or a reporter? Yikes! |
Well it is one of those kind of movie that you can enjoy if you switch your brains off. There is no point in trying to find any sense in it.
|
no
Ryu and Ken were smugglers.
|
Actually, the reason why Vega became M.Bison in the American/Worldwide except Japan version, was because Capcom of America feared a lawsuit if they named the boxer character M.Bison (because it closely resembles Mike Tyson, which the name was probably created for in the first place).
In my opinion, Balrog suits the Boxer better, as Balrog is too brutish a name for a graceful masked fighter from Spain. Then "Vega" became M.Bison, which is sorta weird, but it just grows on you after while, if ya catch my drift. |
hmmmm
still, id like to see a freakin tournament fighters movie!!! snes version, that is. it would be wicked-ass to see Mike's dance of fury or Leo's millenial wave onscreen!!!

Super Mario Bros sucks no matter which way you look at it, and it's hard to believe anyone would like that trash. Then again, you are from Arlington Texas, and that explains a lot.[/quote] why, I think I hear a racist bell, did you just say because I am from texas that i am dumb? so young....and by the way, I liked the mario bros and other people did to. And, I saw the animated movies, and I think the live action movie rank up with em.
