Baxter Stockman Poll

I'm a little curious. which version of baxter stockman do you like the most?
My favorite is the psychotic Mirage Baxter.

Tokka-B 01-20-2003 08:08 PM

We haven't seen the new cartoon baxter, so this poll is pointless til Feb 8th at least...that's if he is even in the first episode which he probly is.

Anarchistguy 01-20-2003 08:11 PM

Then consider it like the MIRAGE Baxter

Psycrow 01-20-2003 08:26 PM

Hm... I voted the original Baxter only because the Fly was cool... :D

Deathknight 01-20-2003 08:58 PM

hehe i've expressed many times on how much I hate how Baxter is portrayed in the later episodes as being super strong and fast. He wasn't too bad in the earlier episodes but I've never seen the original mirage Baxter so I can't vote. The only mirage comic I got is the secret of the ooze official movie adaption.

Greed 01-20-2003 09:14 PM

I voted the oringinal Baxter because the cartoon one was a cheap ripoff of The Fly

Psycrow 01-20-2003 09:18 PM

Hehe, I just found it funny how Baxter developed the uncanny ability to use a gun when he became a fly... :D

Karpo_007 01-20-2003 09:40 PM

Original one of course!

Dontebell 01-20-2003 10:48 PM

the new cartoon look is great beside they do need to have a black person in the show

beaker 01-21-2003 02:24 AM

Sorry to say, I dont even acknowlege that idiot Fly guy from the cartoon. Its fun wasting his butt in the TMNT arcade game.

The real Baxter is in the comic and in the new cartoon.

That Matt Guy 01-21-2003 02:33 AM

Was he black in the original comic? Or was that just added into the new cartoon for ethnic variety?

Nope, he was definately black in the original comic, as were some other key characters. But, you know how history revisionist 80's cartoons can be;)

cable04 01-21-2003 03:45 PM

seriously?
i could have sworn they just made him black for demographics

i like mirage/new cartoon better

Hey, I thought everyone was familair with the old Mirage series? Hmmm...

Karpo_007 01-21-2003 05:20 PM

I have done my best to pass the info on here! But this is explained by the fact that he is new to the boards.

SeaThreePeeO 01-21-2003 05:23 PM

I voted Mirage Baxter, as I feel he was a deeper character

Karpo_007 01-21-2003 05:26 PM

Well every character in Mirage is deeper...

Raphael-sama 01-21-2003 07:03 PM

Having never read the Mirage comics, I have to go with Mister Fly. It was so left-field when he came out, you couldn't NOT love the guy.

I see it this way. ANYONE can be a mad scientist. A mad scientist with 4 arms, wings and telescope eyes? That's something else.

Deathknight 01-22-2003 08:13 AM

Yeah, but Baxter wasn't really a scientist in the later seasons. His brain turned to mush and the only thing he knew to do was what the alien computer told him to do, except for in Landlord of the Flies where he has his scientific knowledge again.

cable04 01-22-2003 03:04 PM

i haven't actually read mirage comics [save for the first one]
i don't have any access to them where i live

Karpo_007 01-22-2003 04:26 PM

Well there are online comic shops where I ordered everything. For the people in the states it hsouldn't be a problem at all. I had to pay very expensive shipping...

OrokuSaki's#1Fan 01-25-2003 05:50 PM

I think theyre both great,in their own ways.

cable04 01-26-2003 10:01 AM

that's a cop out, if i've ever heard one
did you vote for either one, orukusaki's#1fan?
