Does anyone know how the TMNT got converted into anime? I didn't even know that our favorite green heroes had taken a trip to Japan! I would've never believed it if I hadn't seen the episode with my own two eyes.

I dont know how they got converted but my friend can draw some wicked tmnt anime pics.

Ya, the anime was pretty cool. Shredder, Rocksteady, and Bebop kept making me laugh whenever they got into a sticky situation. Good stuff! I just wish I knew the origins of the TMNT anime, and why there seems to have been only a few episodes ever made.

There were always fight scenes, but I understand what you're referring to in the sense that they wouldn't have used pizzas as weopens.

I agree...japanese animation would have improved the fights...even the pizza fights :P the fights in season 1 by example were animated very well...
I'm wondering why they choosed to make it american animated instead of japanese animated...i thought about it being too expensive but that doesn't makes any sense, the toon was such a success that those guys had money coming outta their ears :roll: i guess they just wanted it to be an american cartoon...

The only thing that ever ticked me off was how they stopped acknowledging that the TMNT live in New York City. It was just ludicrous of them to do that since it's where they live in the movies and comics anyways.

Yeah that always puzzled me why they didnt admited the turtles lived in new york, since they did in the movie..

Yeah after the first season it was always refered as "City". Never New York.

Actually, the World Trade Centers were featured in the second and third season, not to mention that Shredder used the phrase "Big Apple" in the first ep of 1988.

If you compare the season 1 eps' animation to any other eps you can see the difference :D
I really liked season 1's animation...and how they drawed the noses :P but there were some parts that were kind of...strange, like when mike is in the van , im not sure in what episode, but his face looks funny :lol: but i liked that too.
I really liked april since she looked very anime-ish :D tho you can tell it was drawn in the 80s :roll: still it's pretty well drawn!And splinter too! :evilgrin:
