for those who watched the entire lost season....
Im sorry, but it was the best thing I have ever seen in the world of the TMNT.. I literally had tears in my eyes the whole way though.. All the villans and friends came together at the end to fight sand save the world. How in the hell can they choose to forget about this season and give us the PUKE GARBAGE they called Fast forward.. its depressing
I was in tears cause i know we will never get episodes like this again. The ending was so damn good I know this season was not really for kids, it was more the preteen to adult type of episodes. Im sadden :( :( :( |
Yes, yes, I think we've heard this a dosen times. Laird ain't budging with it, and the writers seem to be having fun with the premise at this juncture after even being cautious about it themselves, so just live with it already. It's not Batman Beyond, it's never going to be TMNT, it's just TMNT by the numbers, we've all accepted that, but we also have new DVDs, Tales of the TMNT, and the movie and it's potential sequels to keep us busy. TMNT is'nt dead beyond television.
|
There's going to be a Tales of the TMNT DVD? I don't have the Ninja Tribunal season on DVD, but I've watched it all on YouTube. It is quite disappointing.
|
no need to sorry mario. I agree TLS is amazing. I loved the chi and amulets as well as the
Spoiler:
Can't wait for TLS dvd |
Yeah I know pretty much everyone is depressed on this matter. I just cherish all my 2k3 dvds and got myself the Australian Lost season set and try to make the best out of it
The Lost Season was good though wasn't it?!!!!! Loved the little extra eppy of the Turtles as little guys with the Ancient one:D |
Yes, fathers and sons was very entertaining. I loved it because it FINNALLY explained the question of why they were different colored bandanas.

Yet no one takes any appreciation in Lairds work on FF? That seems kind of hypocritical IMO. Part of that minority is me infact that likes FF, however not just because I want a different opinion (seems like you're putting words in others mouths, not cool,) but for the fact I do not fear change, and grew to like FF. Coolest thing is bro, is that growing up, I learned a cool lesson in life... All the chicks that I used to hang around always said, "David (that's my name) don't ever change. You are unlike anyone else, and are not afraid to be yourself and not like anyone else in the world." I guess what they meant, is that while my friends were smoking weed to look cool, I was like, "screw that crap. I don't need to get high to impress anyone or make someone laugh." Best part is, that is probably why I was lucky enough to never be without a woman, all because I wasn't afraid to be me.
Call this a rant or whatnot, but that tone Zarius, sounds both like you're putting words in others mouths, and being hypocritical because Laird infact was in on this whole FF thing. If people say though, "oh, well he's just following orders given to him to tone it down so says TV execs." Ah here's the kicker... If FF was really used to spark interest in TMNT due to lack of ratings and whatnot, then why in the bloody hell was Laird saying in season 1 DVD releases of 2k3, that some huge changes were coming to TMNT in season 6 (what is now FF.) I say that if the ratings were that bad while season 1 DVD's were still coming out, then why the hell did the show even last 4 seasons in the 2k3 style? TMNT:FF would've already been out the gate right after he did that interview. I see some contradiction there... Maybe he actually wanted to do something *GASP* different. However Zarius, that's just Laird wanting to have a different opinion on his own creation. As much as I hate seeing people diss on TMNT:FF due to whatever reason I believe in, I cannot deny people the right to feel how they want, or say someone is only liking something to have a different opinion then others, when they could infact like it. So if I were to like the disaster that was Giglii (with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, which I don't,) is it because I want to debate with others, or is it me being me practicing the rule of being a leader, not a follower? -X- |
First off, simmer down Zarius. I meant it was disappointing that it's not on TV or DVD, sorry. Secondly, I read the Tales of the TMNT wrong. No need to get all pissy. The way the grammar read it could easily be interpretted like that. I enjoy FF, but not nearly as much as the first stuff of 2k3. I think that's pretty common though.

oh we're not supposed to try to make him angry? oops lol, that was my whole point :tangel:
|
.........
...I kinda have hope for ff to step it up in the next season, dont any of you? I mean its improving already. We've seen shows start out half-ass and grown to love em(not speaking for EVERYONE) X-men evolution, Iron Man had a good second season...I'm sure there are plenty of others, but my point is the quality can improve and I kinda think it will....EDIT: Forgot to mention...."The Batman" :) |
Because evil can be fun!
I didn't like the Lost Season all that much. Sure, it was light years ahead of Fast Forward, but compared with the rest of the 2k3 series, I thought it lacked a lot of... genuine teamwork, growth, character, ninja action. Instead we have biokids animal totems and magical powerups. Plus, out of no where, you know who comes and saves the day. No significance, just a lot of forced, contrived stuff -- even Karai's "happy ending" felt unnatural. I do appreciate the work that went into the production of these episodes, but I just don't think it's as amazing as people say it is, and I have seen the entire lost season. I'm thinking Lloyd Goldfine and the others did what they could under the assumption that they might never return to work on the 2k3 series again.
And of course, upon reaching my conclusion that I disliked the Lost Season, I was thinking with sadistic glee of how much my opinion would drive a rusty dagger through Zarius's poor widdle heart.;) Now, where are the rotten tomatoes? |
I've only been able to see about half the episodes of TLS, but have to agree that it is one of the best arcs, and can't wait for them to release the full thing on DVD (they better...grrrr)
|
Fledermaus, I agree with you to a certain extent. I enjoyed it because it was intense and the story line was pretty good. Although, elements like you know who all of a sudden reappearing, yeah, I don't even know how to respond to that one. lol.
|
Well the only thing that irked me about Zarius statement ealier in the post is that he is putting affection and words in other mouths. Huge pet peeve.
I myself know that people will dislike TMNT:FF and that's their problem not mine. I however, will give my opinions on any topics where people ask if this or that person likes FF, even if its positive in contrast to negative views. A person needs to see it from the side who likes and dislikes it, that's why they are opinions. So denying anyone who dislikes it because I like it, is no reason for me to bashing them. They have their right to an opinion, just like me and anyone else. People can actually like FF, because they want a different approach to a 20+ year property that would get stale after awhile (my take on it.) Yet someone comes in saying that people are only liking it so they can have a "diverse" opinion about it, and because we don't see things Zarius way, we are not appreciating the work of the man who made TLS possible. That sounds very arrogant at best, when people are just choosing to be themselves. I for one won't ever tolerate (on the net or in person,) someone putting actions and words in my mouth, when a human is as unpredictable as it comes. -X- |

That said, I didn't hugely dislike TLS. I was just disappointed. |
Demon Saki = ultimate evil bad ass end of story.
Alright so he's not as cool as Rat King. But damn is he evil. I mean you don't mouth off to him even if you work for him or he will screw you. Funny though that the Utrom Shredder knew what his voice sounded like so he could emulate it... |

I liked it that it was the Ancient one who gave the turtles their masks. That really upped my opinion of him. Not that it was ever low to begin with.

I liked the Lost Season as well, the only thing that I didn't like to much was how they turned into dragons when they are turtles. I still loved all the episodes.
|
with the dragons part theres got to be a reason for that.maybe the amulet is the reason why.

You're not understand everyone who dislikes the dragon thing though. The Ninja Turtles have never ever needed super powers in the existance of the characters. That's what makes them so special because they take on deadly foes with the skills and mental strength they have. I know they've never taken on a Demon shredder before but they have taken on other worldy creatures in the past and did not need mystical powers to destroy them. That was my point I love the lost season minus the baby turtles. |
no im not from another country.im from chicago.reason i have bad english on here is that im not really online person as in chating so i made a mistake.but i know turtles dont have super powers.all i thought was cool when they turn into mystical turtles.sorry about the dragon part.

I was just trying to figure out what was up is all. ;) |
Well, I'll be honest... TLS was ok. Yup, nothing more for me. I liked it alot, enjoyed it all the way to the very end. But it felt like an unfinished project. I dunno, it felt rushed or something. And never have I witnessed so many drawing errors in the 2k3 toon. Well, they were not THAT numerous, but you could see them pretty well. Just kinda ticked me a bit.
I'm fully aware of everything they had to do in order to get this project going. I'll forever be thankful for that. But I dunno, the easy path was taken one time too many if you know what I mean... All of the mystical powers and the dragons and all. Its just not fitting the turtles in my opinion. The finale was, well not that great. Spoiler:
Spoiler:
The ending was disapointing. Just really left me wanting for more. Like I said, it just really felt rushed. I also felt that there was a lack of emotions while watching the whole thing. You could see some emotions and intensity in a scene, and in another similar scene whom would have needed it, felt quite empty. Best example is when Spoiler:
A great overall ''season'', but it was not the best of the 2k3 series. This whole project would have needed 4-6 more episodes for further and deeper character development, story development (the whole alliance thing is one example, a good idea that was all just thrown together if you ask me) and a finale worth of the rest of the season. I just find it a bit sad that the best thing the tmnt ever had is ending on a unfinished and rushed project that had immense potential. My overall appreciation : 7,5/10. Great, but it disurved better. Alot of efforts were thrown into this, but if only they gave this project more of a ''fighting'' chance if you know what I mean. Ok I'm done now ;) |
