Boys and their toys

Stupid title, I know. Anyway, we've all said Don and Raph could use a little more interaction. So we all know Don's the tech head, but Raph should know a couple of things about taking care of a bike right? Anyone think they could turn that into some solid ground?

Sunshine 05-01-2007 03:09 PM

I think so though they may drive each other a little nuts in the process. ^_^'

The Shelf 05-01-2007 03:18 PM

You're right, it is a stupid title.

On topic, though. I am surprised there haven't been more stories about Raph and Don tinkering with motorcycles and such. I think it could work pretty well as a little side-story thingy.

Well done. Even I didn't have anything kinky on my mind associated with this title until you wrote that.

And now I have.

It's all your fault.

About the topic - Don and Raph are not that close, in comparison to the other pairings like Raph-Leo, Raph-Mikey or Don-Mikey. Finding more common ground might be a good start for them.

Revan 05-01-2007 03:31 PM

Is Raph handy with automobiles? Casey and Don are. I think Don could take some time to teach Raph about fixing stuff. Bonding and all that crap.

Buslady 05-01-2007 03:44 PM

raph has some mechanical understanding. Yes.
Always had.

Donnie too.

it would be nice that those two goons worked on a project and built something.

bullet 05-01-2007 04:39 PM

lmao @ title. not stupid, imaginative. :D

i think it'd be cool to see them both work on something, rather than raph/casey or don/casey. what about don/raph tricking summin out?

roflmbo! I wasn't even thinking anything kinky until you said that. I was just trying to be annoying.

Swany 05-01-2007 04:49 PM

Like TMNT pimpin' yo' ride

But yeah it would be rather sweet to see the two of them working together on something. A wee bit of interaction and all that jazz.

MadPirateBunny 05-01-2007 04:54 PM

If I DID think of something kinky at the title does that make me wrong?

GAH! Yeah, I know. Bad Bunny and back to the closet for me.

hehe

But yeah, it's an interesting topic. What are Raph's hobbies? I mean there had to be a good thing to put his attributes to good use. Reminds me of that futuristic Simpson episode where Bart was the guy who operated the crane with a demolition crew. :D

Spawn Guy 05-01-2007 05:10 PM

"They're finally paying me to do this."

MadPirateBunny 05-02-2007 12:31 AM

Rep for Spawny :twink:

Jo Dawn 05-02-2007 01:25 PM

I always found the Don/Raph dynamic facinating. I try to play upon it in my fics alot, because things that facinate me really pull me to them. I could gush all about this, but I'm at school, with limited time, heh.

A little bit off topic, but was anyone else a little disturbed by Raph's intro in one of the 2k3 episodes?

"The only difference between men and boys is the size of their toys!"

Yeah, he actually said that.

Rooish 05-02-2007 03:27 PM

Kunoichi_Haruko 05-02-2007 03:36 PM

I wouldn't want to remove my mind from it's natural environment. It might not survive.

Think back to the Ultimate Drako episodes. Before Raph's, Raph and Casey are talking about the bikes and how to top each other.

And I thought the same thing for Raph's intro lol. (It was the Return to NY eps wasn't it?)

I remember that! Hehe, and I wasn't disturbed, persay, really... I thought it was kinda funny.

Revan 05-02-2007 05:57 PM

No other possible interpretation. ;)

And yes, I would love to play with that particular Raph toy. Or his sais. But no other Raph toy.

bullet 05-02-2007 10:36 PM

oh good, cuz my next question was gonna be...

Ninjinister 05-03-2007 04:05 PM

Back to the subject at hand, one of my favorite minisodes was the one where Raph crashed the Sewer Slider, and Don chased after him with a sledgehammer. Totally awesome. Now there's some R/D interaction for ya!

Time Mistress 05-05-2007 07:27 PM

I agree S, that is a cool scene. It make me think of the old show Home Improvement, Raph would be Tim, breaking stuff he works on with Don as Al, the cautious one who knows what he's doing. Raph is a gearhead fixing his bike and stuff, he's just not a tech head. So I think Raph would understand Don's tinkering the most.

Buslady 05-05-2007 07:45 PM

Someone once said, if the difference between men and boys were the size of their toys...then I think I just became a man!

Spawn Guy 05-05-2007 07:58 PM

And then the lair was flooded.

Ha ha, I never thought of it that way. I loved Home Improvement.

Raph: How about I tweak the Shell Cycle to run on jet fuel?
Don: I don't think so Raph.
