I got more movie photos that I thought I'd share, but this time I think I'll just start a general thread. So feel free to post any TMNT movie photos that you have on your hard drive. Even if we've all seen it a million times, it's still fun.

OMG I am loving April's outfit :lol: I had an outfit just like that & I remember it because I bought it because April was wearing it in one of the ads for the movie...ah, good times :D

You know, despite the fact that April's outfits are very (late) 80s, all of them have aged very well and aren't painful to look at now. Which is nice in that it kinda makes the movie timeless. *insert collective 'awww' here*

Dude...what is going on with Raph and April in this picture? They're not even trying to hide the sexual tension there. :twink:

Actually, from what I've read/heard (although I couldn't pinpoint exactly where), the tension between the two is purposeful and was initially intended to be more prominent in the film. I guess they took this to heart for the photo shoots. :lol:

Aww...Kinda sad that they never went to that extent, but it would have never worked. We all know April was destined for Casey. :tsad:

That was one of the things that really bummed me reading the comics though. April was so tight with Raph in the movie, but in the comics she seems the most detached to him of the four. She even writes that he scares her in issue #11.

I would love to see all the photos from that photo shoot. All the ones I've seen are awesome and I doubt anything close to all of them have been published. And I don't think I've ever seen a solo Leo shot.

I'm the age April was in the movies. Yet I hardly ever get the opportunity to dress- much less look- anywhere near that sexy. Perhaps because my job does not require me to be on TV looking my best always. But though yesterday I was dressed very professional and had hosiery and flats without straps/buckles/laces, I still did not look anywhere near as ravishing as she did. I do not know if it is a change in the fashions- but I do remember when I was 12 (and did NOT look like I do now) adults looking much older than what they seem now.

That's probably because these days older people are trying to look and act younger, and the kids are trying to dress and act like adults, which really annoys me.

I've seen 12-13 year old girls wearing outfits more fit for teenage girls the age of 16-18. Small tops and skirts, and most of the girls aren't even physically evolved! Well, I guess that's what you get for making the media we have today, with skinny people wearing practically nothing.
It affects young kids in believing they have to act and dress the same, and it's a shame, really. 13 years old girls are NOT, I repeat NOT suited for the clothes girls closer to the age of 18 and 20 are wearing, and they are not grown ups.
I just wish those kids would understand that. I constantly pester my two youngest sisters about dressing properly and don't fall for that media stuff.
They're 13 and 10. My 15 years old sister is already lost in that world.
Myself are 17, and I would much more use a hoodie and pants than high heels, a tiny top and a short skirt. It's just not me.

For the pics: I love them! The actor for Movie 1 April is one of the prettiest women I've ever seen, and I was really angry she was exchanged in the later movies. I know why, so nobody needs to tell me.
She was just so natural, and I loved it! I would use her type of clothes rather than the skimpy stuff we see today.

Oh that is a cool one! Raph & April are challenging each other...how interesting she's that much taller than he?!
Yes Mikey is very cute in it. No doubt he wants her though; but knows he can't touch. :(

yeah judy hoag was so much better, she was natural. and she looks irish...paige turco looks NOTHING like april

Turco is also the only screen April who doesn't have red hair. I think the red hair is great for April. It makes her really spunky and fiery. But I'm biased cos I have red hair. :D

Rosie your pictures are so great. I love the one with Raphael in headphones. What do you do with them? Do you put them on your wall?

Hmm, I wonder if my Mary Janes and socks have anything to do with that ;)

While there were some provocative clothes back then, they were usually made only in adult sizes. Many girls in my class wore them and could fit in them...but I was not one of them because I was quite the late bloomer.

Anyhow, back to topic, I think some of the expressions in one of those pics are a bit OOC. Leo has a bit too much of a scowl, and Raph looks too dopey. And Donnie looks WAY too angry- when the truth is he is the most rational and calm. Only Mikey looks in character.

This one is so cute and I never noticed how tall April was. Flats have obviously come back, but I'm still getting a good chuckle from her fabo 80's ensembles...(says the girl who bought into the boots/skinny jeans look. I'll shut up.)

Love the one of Raph in his headphones too! What do ya think he's listening to?

Nah, I'm rather minimalist on my walls. I keep all the photos in various sizes of art portfolios. I have had the 8x10s in 3-ring binders with plastic sleeves until recently, but they actually store much nicer (and just look better) in the portfolios.

Man... April.. or uh... Judith sure is packin much back in that photo. I don't remember her havin that much ass in the actual movie.

i thought the same thing actually. it could just be the way she's positioned, and the black outfit.


its interesting how Ape's always with Raph in those pics. None of the others.
They should have gone with their original ideas of his crush on her. It would have been interesting. Poor Waffie....

I agree that it would have been interesting, but probably they didn't want to open the turtle / human debate. Although, I thought they touched on it quite nicely - very simply, with the look on his face as April thanked him on TV with that wonderful smile. He had a shy, nervous smile which was slightly hopeful.

Raph's 'possible' feelings towards April are also reflected in his apparent inability to say anything in her pressence. The others chat, he just stayes nervously silent.

Even though they didn't openly parade it, I do think it was touched on subtly.

Very good point, I noticed that too. Raph barely ever speaks with April. In one of the scenes (at the farm) he comes into the room where Casey is giving April a back rub, and he looks really shy. Aw, Raphie!

I would have loved to see a Raph/April romance in this movie as well. Damn the consequences of the interspecies. It would have been cute.

I think I remember her saying something like the producers wanted her to lose weight for the film. Maybe that's why she has a really nice ass in these pics? ;)

Nice. Sweet resurection. I think Judy looks better in these promotional photos than she did in the film. Now that you mention the weight thing, ecto, I think her behind looks better in the pic. But perhaps it's just her tight shorts.

Yes it was and I'm glad there was some hints. According to Judith there was alot of good scenes hacked out and I'm thinkin many were focusing on this issues, as she said - it lost alot of heart after they edited the movie they were saying not enough fighting, too much character development.
But I think it was kinda sweet he never really said much to her; nervous silence from him...probably afraid of saying anything making himself sound stupid. Oooo im getting inspiration to write...
maybe they had a talk....and it got cut!

Actually, most (if not all) of the deleted scenes have been well-documented and none of them deal with April & Raph. I think the stuff Judith refers to is probably the stuff that was cut from when they're on the farm. There's Mike in the barn w/ narration, the extra training bits, a scene with April, Don, and Casey (fixing a well, I believe), and a scene with April and Casey in the attic looking at April's drawings.

well, then i dont get it why there were virtually NO April/Raph scenes...he rescued her butt after all. Sure she thanked him on air, but why not in person? Oh well...

I love the movie anyways.

Makes me want to start a campaign for a special edition dvd.
