This will make you sick (TMNT noobs)
http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/gen...topic=34973250
I can't believe the idiots out there, this is sad... |
Oh, Jesus...
Stupid people talking about Turtles. Stupid people correcting other stupid people, whilst being completely wrong. Sounds like a Gamefaqs board, alright. |

i can't stand people like this.
|
I didn't even see the mexican Sensei part... these people need to die
EDIT: The same guy (he wasn't a total idiot) said Ralph... |
   WTF?? :o people being stupid.
|
Splinter has a Mexican accent?? Bwahahaha! What a dork!
Seriously, where do these people come from?? I think Mako would be very insulted to hear that :) |
Ignorance hurts my head... ow...
Sometimes it makes me want to re-register on GameFAQs just so I can crunch those noobs with my "I've been a TMNT fan longer than you've been alive!"-ness. |
Sounds like some are bitter that we didn't get a live action movie. Like, "Oh I didn't get to see a fourth live action movie so I'm going to be a trolling tool!"
Just don't let fake fans get to you is all I can say. |
Well on the bright side the poll for the day on gameFAQS asks "What's your all time favorite Beat-Em-Up series" and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is winning with only Dynasty Warriors really close.
|
they have no idea why they had to make the CGI!
I feel flustered enough to make a little chart, lol 1) I remember reading they tried to make them with real people but in the real world they were obviously out of place, so they made a world for them to thrive in 2) Compared to other movies they have to compete with now a days, they HAD to use CGI instead of people in poofy costumes like they did in the late 80s-early 90s ...113th) They needed to try it out for the big fans! you're right, Neutrino... I can't let them crawl inside my shell. :( |
give sensei a chimichanga or a burrito instead of sushi i guess hahahaahahah
thats funny *smacks the goon who called Raph, RaLph....ugh* |
What do these people want? for something to never evolve?? It's great that tmnt has grown with the times. We have technology now which allows a realistic portrayal of the turtles as they were meant to be - I love the live action, but the turtles were supposed to be small and slender but muscular, not human size and bulky.
Some people need to get over themselves and accept that there is a natural life to these things and they grow the same as everything else. Three cheers for Spit for holding the fort so well! :) |

These people are simple-minded and petty. |
I still prefer my 2K3 Konami games.
That's the only response I could come up with... |

Oh... and to be on topic. TMNT posers are dumb. I've said that many times both online and offline. |
I was twitching with irritation while reading the first post alone. Wow, talk about not being able to use a correct punctuation..... Having those "man" and "Jesus" put in suddenly made me just close the window - I couldn't stand reading it...

OMG, edit, I just went and actually read some of the posts. This bit killed me: "Now, they may have been in the Archie comics, but those are not the real TMNT and are for kids." Clearly this individual thinks that torture of main characters, intricate politics, religious philosophy, war, lots of blood, heavily implied sex and Nazis are all things for children. That's just what I could remember off the top of my head, having not looked at those comics in a few years. Yes, the Archie series was light and silly at the start, but by the end it was f-ing good. I don't know if I can bring myself to read more of that message board! |
If only there were a currently-running universe that would give these idiots their Binky. Everything would be fine.

*sighs and getting a headache* I need to lay down before I feel a migraine coming from the noobs on that forum

It's kind of like how I can sit and read Volumes 1, 2, and 4 of the comics over and over and enjoy them a lot but I'm still wanting Volume 4 to continue. |

These muppets need to stop being so ignorent and get a life. If you're going to try and make yourself look like a TMNT fan, at least get some facts right. |

Had there not been a new movie, these people would never have wanted new stuff from that universe. |
They were at GameFAQs, apparently.
Look, it's not like I like these guys or anything, but we also have people here who aren't stupid who also complain about the comics, 2k3 (especially FF), and the new movie because it's not up to their specifications. So, yeah, they're morons... but morons need attention, too. |
^ I understand. I'm not hating on you, snootch, I just can't stand these people that lost touch with ninja turtles and are whinning about a movie that I thought was done beautifully.
|
Meh. Like I said... they're morons. In all of their supposed fandom, they seemed to have completely forgotten about the fact that those other three movies from years and years ago didn't sport Krang, bebop and Rocksteady, the Technodrome, or the OT theme.
So, I'm with you overall. I just don't think anyone, stupid or otherwise, should get neglected when push comes to shove. |
I may feel differently about their opinions if I felt that TMNT wasn't any good. If this movie had sucked big time, then they may have a point. But it was good without Bebop Rocksteady and the technodrome. The movie was supposed to be a sequel, loose sequel yes, but sequel nonetheless.

OMG that was painful.
The only thing I have to agree with those morons is about the game. It wasn't that good. I prefer the classics. But that's it, these idiots don't know what they are talking about. |

The Off-Topic (pun) merch coming out next year is unofficially in celebration of the show's 20th anniversary.

well, one can understand that to an extent. I mean, c'mon guys, turn off your TMNT knowledge for a second and pretend the ONLY thing you ever heard of the TMNT was the old cartoon and the movies. You loved them, but they eventually ended. Now all of a sudden there's a new show... but April isn't a reporter... Shredder's a Krang-wannabe in a robot suit, no Bebop, Rocksteady, Technodrome, Slash, etc etc etc. And if you didn't see the new show, and only heard of the new movie, again, no Shredder, the turtles are running around fighting weird monsters and stone statues, it's like TMNT III all over again.
I'm just saying, like if you compare the TMNT revival to the He Man revival, the new He Man show truly 'updated' the original series, revamping and improving the older characters and adding several new ones. Sure, changes were made, but most of the old favorites were there. They didn't just make the show about He Man and Teela and a whole bunch of guys we never seen or ever heard of, fighting off weird new villians, or revealing Skeletor to be a female midget wearing a 'Skeletor suit'. The He Man revamp was like how many of the older TMNT fans wished the TMNT revamp would have been, the return of all the classic characters but with the awesome kick-ass action that they weren't allowed to have in the older show (giving Mikey his nunchucks back and all that). I know, for us more deeper more 'educated' fans, it's a breath of fresh air to see stuff based on the original comics. I actually surfed through the TMNT site a few times and read up on the original comics so where I saw some of the new toon eps I was like 'oh wow, just like the comics'. When I heard TMNT III was being produced I was hoping the main villian woulda been either Rat King or Karai (I loved Karai in Tournament Fighters) and when I found out Karai was gonna be in the new movie, I was like 'awesome!!'. But yeah, we gotta give these guys some understanding. For them it's like their favorite show has been destroyed, and we're all the TMNT elitist snobs that love the new changes and preffer to keep Shredder 6 feet under. |

As a matter of fact, if someone watched only the movies and the OT, then they would hopefully find out that the films were a derivative of the comics (since they hardly had any connection to the old toon other than bandana color and pizza), which were the inspiration for the revival in '03. |

KROW is right, they should go see what is going on. If they cared they would. |
