A Rat King movie??
 

Yup, apperently New Line is making a movie about the Rat King beefore he was known as the Rat King!!!
Okay not exactly but it looks preety darn close, apperrently there is a movie about a social outcast named Willard who goes crazy, makes friends with rats and gets revenge!!! :lol: Is that wackey or what?! Watch the trailer!!:

Yeah I just looked into it though and apperently it is based off a horror movie of the same name made in 1971 about a shy kid who trains his pet rat to kill his enemies!! :evilgrin:

Well in this new movie it seems he has more than one pet rat... :D

Deffinitely, that part where the door lifts up and all the rats start pouring out is so creepy!!!! :evilgrin:

Um, in case no one noticed this, on the bio-card from the 1989 Rat King figure, it lists his favorite film as "Willard".

I'm willing to bet the original Rat King concept is based on Willard... as most Mirage characters are semi-spoofs of other characters.

I can't help but wonder whether or not Eastman and Laird originated the Rat King character for the comics or the cartoon.

This just got me thinking, maybe this is just one MORE thing that Eastman and Laird ripped off (you know, like Baxter the fly ripping off Jeff Goldblum, Rex1 ripping off Robocop, yada yada...)

Eastman and Laird has nothing to with Baxter the fly. And neither of them created Rat King, It was probably Ryan Brown, who was doing the Tales of TMNT at the time[Not sure, but I can check]. So Rat King was not made for the cartoon.

Why must you be so technical? I couldn't just say "something TMNT ripped off".

And I know the Rat King wasn't made for the cartoon first...

Baxter didn't turn into a fly in the comics?

No he didn't. But I have heard he turned into a cyborg in volume 2. But Im still reading volume 1 so it will be some time before Im reading those stories.

And Yes if you say Eastman and Laird created Baxter the fly, I have to be technical and correct it.

I Still think Baxter turing into a fly is better. Basxter turning into a cyborg is cool too but I just can't see Baxter being anything but a fly thats what i grew up with.

And I always thought of a Rat King as a modern day Pied Piper.

Lets face it, TMNT is a fantasy world. It's not meant to be taken seriously on any level.

I'd stil like to see Baxter the fly. And make him more darker and stuff. That would be cool. OH and they have to have a new darker Mutagen Man too. HE was the coolest villian.

Or maybe he could turn into a Cybork goat fly with laser death powers!!!! :evilgrin: Mwa ha ha ha!!!! Uhhhh... *ahem* sorry! :embarass:
