Sean Connery as Gandalf?
This is so funny! Though.. I think I would've liked it better to have Julia Roberts play Arwen. :P

He would have looked pretty cool!
I can't say that I much like Leonardo Dicrapio as Legolas, though. :dead: Poor Legolas.
He doesn't look bad as Gandalf. He would probably play the part well, however his aditude doesn't quuite suit the character.
No, he is James Bond 4ever!
He was also the star of Entrapment, The Hunt for Red October, Finding Forester, etc. But he started his carrer with the influence of Ian Flemming.
Yes I do know he has acted in other movies  He was very good in Indiana Jones: Last crusade
He was in Indiana Jones? I thought the only well known actor in that was Harisson Ford.
You didn't know? He played Henry Jones senior.
Oh.

I wonder what the new Indiana Jones movie is gonna look like....I miss those movies.
Im not sure, But I think Ford is too old to play Indy again...

I've heard rumors that the archaic doo-dad he's after this time is either Excalibur or Atlantis... Oh yeah, about those LOTR graphics; I laughed my butt off at the Russell Crowe as Aragorn one. |
I know that Ford is going to be in it, but it doesn't make him youner. Damn, the man is atleast 60!
Kate Capshaw's gonna make a reappearance as Winnie too, I heard.
(Was it Kate Capshaw?) |
She was the chick in Temple of Doom... The worst of the three movies.
Yeah, I know it was Temple of Doom she was in (and I agree, I didn't like TOD that much).
Most favorite to least favorite: -Raiders of the Lost Ark -The Last Crusade -Temple of Doom |
Same order goes for me too.
What's wrong with the Temple of Doom. Besides that annoying asian kid. I thought the whole ripping your heart out of your chest and then burning you alive part was pretty damn cool.
I heard Indy might have a son in the new movie (though I hope he doesn't). Just a rumor though, take it with a grain of salt, as the movie ain't comin' out until July 4th, 2005. Yes, I know the release date. Yes, I would have marked my calendar if I had a 2005 calendar. Yes, I would have already bought tickets if they were selling them. I am a huge Indiana Jones fan, even bigger than I am a Star Wars fan. I love the movies THAT much.

BTW, why DON'T you want him to have a son? |

I liked Raiders of the Ark and the Temple of Doom the most myself. But the three were all pretty good. Not very often a movie with more than one sequel does so well (aside from Star Wars and LotR). :D |
*melts at the name of Sean Connery* :goofygri:

Sean Connery as Gandalf?
Don't make me sick, he doesn't have the look of wisdom, age (not that kind of age) and all those other things that Gandalf is supposed to have. Gandalf, or Olorin, as his real name is, he is a maia, semi-god, one might say, and he has existed since the beginning of time... Sean Connery? No. I really like Connery, don't get that part wrong, but as Gandalf he simply isn't the right guy. |
Yeah, I think Sean Connery is awesome... But I can't see him playing Gandalf. I think sir Ian McKellen is doing a great job with that role. Can't wait to see him in X-Men 2!
Those were awesome photo manips, btw. :) |
He's in X-men 2?
Yup. Ian McKellen plays Magneto in both X-Men 1 and X-Men 2.
I knew that! I tought you were talking about Connery! My bad I was unabe to read it right...

McKellen looks like a joke in that ugly helmet he wears in X-men... :goofygri:
He looks older than Magneto in comics, but other than that I think he looked fine.
 Whew.. I thought Azure was saying Connery was playing as Mageneto for a moment there too.
But yah, I personally think McKellan looks better for Gandalf's part. |
