What does your username mean?
 

Some of us have some weird, non-turtle-related names here, lets explain.

I'll go first, To The Nines is one of my favorite albums (it's also a song on said album) from the band Only Crime.

Rose is part of my first name, Michaelangelo is my favorite Ninja Turtle. 8)

Ava Collier is my fan character. ;)

...It's possibly not but probably is but might not be but most likely really could be maybe or maybe not my name.

My original name was Cure4AIDS. It was just to show that I was so full of myself, that I am the single cure for AIDS. Then I shortened it to TheCure.

Sunshine is (the aforementioned fan character) Ava's nickname for Raphael in the TMNT tabletop game I run. ^_~

My name is German for sex machine. Yeah, not really.

mine is a bit of an injoke, that I think only a few people get.

I named myself after the Egyptain Sun God Ra, since I loved Ancient Egypt at the time (and still do). Ra (or Re, if you prefer), is practically the origin of all the gods, and came into being out of nothing. Like a shining light of life. The name fits me like a glove, anyway, with most of my friends calling me "Ra" now... *shrugs*

'gobo' is fragglish for 'short and sweet'... or I'd like to think so. :D

Mine is short for Scandinavia. Which is a part of the world that I have been obsessed with for a long time and that I plan to visit next year.

Katie is an old Choctaw word that means "she who has no imagination and can't make up a fun username"

My last name is "Ledezma" ... so I added a "n" ... -> Ledez-man. ... not very creative anyway but I use the nickname everywhere. :P

Mine is a result of being a longtime Gargoyles fan, Avalon is my oc in that fandom. 2004 is the year I graduated undergrad... and I thought about coming up with a cool new username when I joined this forum, something TMNT-related, but the truth is that my memory is so poor that I use the same username for just about everything, because I know I'll forget any others. Except deviantArt, I went wild and came up with a new one for that.

My last name is Pringle, and I am piping hawt. Or... I'm a bagpiper.. w/e.

The meaning of my user name is when I joined the forums, I was starting my fandom of MK.

Janus Prospero was the code name for Milla Jovovich's character in the movie Resident Evil. I didn't think the movie was even that great or anything, but I thought that the combination of words sounded so cool and mysterious I decided to use it.

Janus is the two-faced Roman god of gates, doors, doorways, beginnings, and endings.

Prospero is the main character in the Shakespeare play, The Tempest.

My father Odin gave me my name when he disowned me and banished me from Asgard forever. The asshole.

My surname is Swan, and all my friends call me Swany. So on and so forth.

Annoyingly "swany" is scottish slang for "toilet" as in, "everythings gone down the swany" Good times.

My nickname is one that Ram Bam gave me early in our marriage as I am quite lippy and sarcastic on a regular basis...it's my sense of humor people. It's not always something that translates in written form, but it is quite the audio gift to all those around me :P

Mine is the name of the most advanced tank in the Imperial Japanese military during the Second World War. (And it was prehistoric junk compared to most other tanks that fought in that war! :lol: )

For those who are interested, there were two versions: the regular with the short 57mm cannon, and the Shinhoto version with a new turret and a long 47mm cannon. And the Japanese Army tended to use the tanks poorly.

Jenna is, quite simply and very unoriginally, my name. Short for Jennifer. People call me Jenna or Jen.

The origin of Raph's Girl is a bit obvious...im slightly Raph obsessed (with both the turtle and the Renaissance artist). But not as obssessed as others. *caughs*

Anyways...another name I go by is Dierna, as those from the TMNT yahoo groups know. Dierna was the name of a high priestess of Avalon in 2 of the books in the Avalon saga by Marion Zimmer Bradley and Diane L. Paxson (The Lady of Avalon and Priestess of Avalon) It's one of my FAVE book series next to the Kushiel series. :evilgrin:

And ANOTHER name I go by online is Shodu Warrick. She's a rather obscure Star Wars character. The mother of Wicket the Ewok in the Ewok movies, comics, and animated series. :D

But most people call me Dierna, Di, Raph's Girl, and RG. Only a chosen few can call me by my RL name (which someday will be Dierna)

Yeah my other online name is Moonaticsam the name I use throughout pretty much the entire internet. I used to be a HUGE Sailor Moon fan. (I prefer the real show not the english version that cut about 50% of everything and changed what was left) And my name (Ok nickname that will someday be my real name) Is Samantha or Sam for short.

So Moonatic Sam. Which just became Moonaticsam. Yeah not very original >_<
