Playmates Toys Big Foot Offer

For Some reason people either can't read, look a few posts down or go to playmates official website and look around.
So here in all it's Glory is the exclusive Big Foot Offer!:o

Head Spinnin' Bebop 08-18-2007 01:24 PM

They really piss me off, just like with the old Simpsons offers, no to Canada. I can see internationally overseas and all that, but at least make it a full North American offer, they're a big company. Playmates used to(seemingly) be great back in the day, but they suck with the way they run things now. That's one thing I like about McFarlane, they do everything direct through them, distribution and all.

I’ll have to figure out a way somehow, get someone too hook me up with an address. I'll wait until September to get Sloth, Shredder and Jungle Leo. They also have that Sea monster still they need to release.

I'm sure someone on here would be happy to get you one provided you send them three UPC's, $5.00 for shipping, the receipts, and money to forward the toy to Canada. As for me, I plan on getting several of these if possible. I'm sure some will pop up on e-bay also.

Head Spinnin' Bebop 08-18-2007 11:31 PM

That be cool yea, I'll prob have too. We'll see. That's what I did with the Simpsons offer they had. Just used their address and then Paypaled them to cover the shipping when it came.

When I drive down to my home away from home in Florida in October I'll keep an eye out for Shredder, Sloth and Jungle Leo and whatever else may happen to come out by then and use those UPC codes, because unless its fixed, the stores here never order a thing because Spin Master distribution sucks.

soccerstud652 08-20-2007 12:53 PM

So did anyone notice that you have to wait until 9/1 to purchase figures? I was excited because I have purchased about 8 or 9 so far, but I guess none of them qualify. So now I must buy three more...

Shredder, Jungle Leo, and Sloth Monster, HERE I COME! (on 9/1 that is...)

VaughnMichael 08-20-2007 03:01 PM

Yes many of us have been talking about it.
It really helps to read the fine print on offers like this. ;)

Tansut 08-20-2007 03:28 PM

:x :x

ARGH!!! I don't visit this site in a few days and then I see this new offer after buying all six of the new wave of figures YESTERDAY.

Is anyone planning on getting extra figures in September with which they won't be using the UPC codes for and would be willing to sell them (the UPC codes, not the figures) to me along with a copy of the receipt?

Many thanks if there is. I so want this figure, but I don't want to have to spend another $20 bucks or so on figures that I already have to do it!!!

sidesh0wpat 08-22-2007 01:31 AM

yah the thing i was worrying about is i want everything MOC now so i dont know
how i would go about getting big foot then. The idea of buying someone elses
upcs seems like more trouble then its worth..so i think i might just wait til
big foot pops up on ebay. i hope people wont charge too much..

sidesh0wpat 08-22-2007 04:23 PM

hahah yah i know..

Tansut 08-22-2007 09:47 PM

I'll pay 3 or 4 bucks per UPC!!

Revan 09-03-2007 03:07 PM

So if you buy new figs you have to cut a piece of the box off? :ohwell:

what is a upc code?

It's the barcode. And yes, you have to cut it off.

Revan 09-03-2007 03:14 PM

Well that kind of sucks. I keep many of my figs in the box. Oh well, I suppose I'll do it for the bigfoot

If I order online, what do I send as a receipt with my upcs and 5 bucks?

Well, I actually was able to cut the barcode without completely opening the package. You actually can't tell at all that its been cut unless you look at it from the bottom. From every other angle, it looks perfectaly normal, definately suitable for hanging if thats your taste. So don't just rush and tear it open...take your time and it can be done. Of course, you'll know it's not "completely" MOC, but for me it's not that big a deal...

thanks, I'll do just that

It is actually pretty easy to remove the UPC bar code with minimal visible damage to the figure with the current package designs. Playmates had this same type of mail in promo with their Simpsons World of Springfield line.

If you want to keep your figures MOC or as close to it as possible, take a good sharp knife or razor blade. Then make a small incision into the bottom panel around the three sides of the UPC. You can then remove the UPC and tuck the plastic flap that you have created back to close it up. The damage is minimal and only visible from the bottom.

soccerstud652 09-03-2007 10:29 PM

These are TOYS! Take them out and play with them....or you will have yourself a major case of...STINKY PETE! (Watch Toy Story 2 for more on that...)

If you collect them, buy 2...

Revan 09-04-2007 12:41 AM

^ Are you serious? Do you know where you are? Ask yourself how many dromers actually take the figs out and play with them.

I take mine out but I do not play with them.
I figured what the hells the point of keeping them in th box's if I never plan to sell the ones I really like.

haha no I refuse to take my scratch, Warrior Chrome Dome and Warrior robotic red metalic rocksteady out of the box

Revan 09-04-2007 01:19 AM

Huh, well then I feel quite silly. I suppose I was just under the impression that most collectors kept figs in the box. I personally open about half of the figs I purchase which, like most of yall I presume, is a LOT of toys.

well like I said i used to be it all sort of started when I got into buying the muppet action figures and sculpting my own custom turtle figures so I like having them all stand together.

TristanHuwJones 09-04-2007 01:44 AM

I've never kept a figure in it's package  Muppets, Star Wars, TMNT, Ghostbusters, GI JOE... God, the list goes on...

Roseangelo 09-12-2007 07:37 PM

I sent for Bigfoot today! Woohoo!

Jester 09-12-2007 08:47 PM

When I read "Big Foot" I thought we were talkin' the large muscular Foot Ninja. Thanks a lot for gettin' my hopes up. :P

Revan 09-12-2007 08:51 PM

Does anyone have one yet or at least sent for one?

OA 09-12-2007 08:54 PM

Well, I just posted that I sent for mine today.

I guess my shout of joy wasn't loud enough for some... alas.

HalfcourtGame 09-13-2007 11:08 AM

I also sent for mine on the 10th...so let's see that means he should be here by November 10th. :ohwell:

Revan 09-13-2007 11:33 AM

Does it really take that long?!!!

Slash 09-13-2007 12:07 PM

6-8 weeks!

dripgutz24 09-13-2007 12:28 PM

I can't believe that you have to send the big foot offer right here in Minnesota, cause its not that far from where I live so hopefully I recieve it sooner but probably not.

Same, they're no fun if theyre in the box. I've got a shelf proudly displaying my Electric Mayhem figures out of the box and on their stage. I've got another shelf of TMNT toys. My old TMNT toys are in a Rubbermaid tub at my parents' place.

***First of Two Latin Kings*** 09-15-2007 09:29 AM

I sent away for TWO of them.

I wonder how long (realistically) it is really going to take Playmates to start getting these out. Everyday when I check my online bank statement, I check to see if the two checks have been cashed. Not yet, alas.

Can UPCs off of other TMNT toys (like the 2-packs with one turtle and one stone warrior) be used? I would think so, since those toys are much more expensive. Somebody oughta ask, unless it's clearly stated somewhere and I just haven't noticed.

sidesh0wpat 09-16-2007 01:27 AM

"No duplication or reproduction of certificate or UPC/Proof of Purchase Seals will
be accepted." so you have to send in the actually upc..(sucks IMO) but arent
you reproducing the certificate by printing it?

I opened an extra set of FF toys and the Jungle Leo and movie Don I bought extra but that's it. I'll open the Shredder, Raph, and Mikey I get so I'll have a set of those but I already have them. Other then that I don't open toys.
