Halloween rapidly approaching

Well before long it will be Halloween again. I'm curious if anyone has any TMNT costumes picked out or ready? If so post some pics or tell us about your ideas or maybe you have a non-related TMNT costume picked out. I would like to hear about them and see them as well. I am working on a Casey Jones costume. I noticed the price of TMNT costumes on Ebay are starting to increase already. I also have some pictures of my Leonardo pumpkin I carved last year. I will get some pics of it up.

Scandia 08-21-2007 09:00 PM

If I find a purple t-shirt and cargo pants like April's, I will dress up as her.

The purple shirt that covers her midriff. I do not feel comfortable showing off the amount of skin she shows in her first outfit.

ToTheNines 08-21-2007 09:07 PM

I wanna make my own foot ninja costume, but I prolly wont do it.

And here is my TMNT Easter Eggs from this year. I figure I would show them while I was at it:

Didn't Dan B. post some info on the official site about deluxe adult ninja turtle costumes, according to said info they should be out before Halloween this year for around 150 dollars.
I wonder what they'll be like, I'm not expecting much for that price.

Wildcat 08-22-2007 09:08 PM

That pumpkin is cool....but I dont Trick-or-Treat anymore.....Im 22,last I went trick-or-treating was,I think when I was 17.

I went as Chucky, the killer doll.....I still have the mask, its awesome.

Id only dress-up again if there was some big halloween party or if I had kids.

Say what? your not expecting much out of a $150 costume? We're talking USA currency here, ya know?

Roseangelo 08-22-2007 09:47 PM

Dorkfish found the costume.

This is what you'd be spending $150 on:

Enjoy. :D

And this is just creepy.

Raph's Girl 08-23-2007 08:40 AM

Wow...that adult TMNT costume is just....wrong...

Makes me glad I don't do squat for Halloween. I just do the usual. I close all the shutters, put a sign on my door saying there's no candy and watch movies while eating said non-existant candy (eh I generally only buy me a tub of Candy Corn). :D

Now what's nutty is that Halloween crap started arriving in stores in July!! Here it is freaking the middle of July and Michaels is chocked full of Halloween stuff!.It's like a haunted house! And one isle dedicated to Christmas!! Seriously WTF?!

Colliwog 08-23-2007 09:51 AM

That costume doesn't even have a shell!

ToTheNines 08-23-2007 10:47 AM

Yea, it's pathetic. I'd pay $15 dollars for it, tops.

Buslady 08-23-2007 03:00 PM

eww that costume is weirdy lookin, it's a big version of the kiddie version! where's the shell? the model looks pretty dorky too.
problem is, we're not shaped like TMNT a human's longer torso just isn't right. bleah...lol

General Traag 08-23-2007 03:18 PM

The guy looks like a very weird sort of sexual predator to me. :dead:

Nonsense. Note that he's completely neutered.

General Traag 08-23-2007 03:26 PM

That has to be the 'weird' part then. But maybe it's just his corny look that confuses me. :J

Sewer Bull 08-23-2007 03:32 PM

He looks more like a Mysterious Masked Turtleman rather than a ninja turtle.

Leonardo19 08-23-2007 03:34 PM

WOW! That costume is terrible. I can't even come up with any idea to make it look good.

How about wiping it out of existence.:)
Yeah I'm thinking of making a Foot ninja costume from the New toon with some much needed help from a friend of mine. But damn what a crappy TMNT costume, you could totally tell that the guy is disgusted with himself  .

Kid's Costume -

Holy super shiny satin action!
No reflectors required.

Roseangelo 09-02-2007 07:03 PM

Let's just face it, there's really never been any success in mass producing a TMNT costume.

JetsAndHeels 09-02-2007 07:16 PM

As bad as that is, its still not as bad as the look on this Raph:

http://i.toynewsi.com/g/generated/TM...scaled_600.jpg

Looks like my chihuahua when she's ready to bite someone.

That's not a success? I loved that mask!

Warhorse 09-03-2007 11:28 PM

You're better off making your own costume then buying a store bought one.

DonatelloDomeHead31 09-04-2007 11:14 AM

I have Raphael's weapons, Michelangelo's weapons, Leonardo's katana, and I took a Mardi Gras spear apart to make Donatello's bo. I got these from a Black Ninja Costume, now all i need is a purple bandana and elbow pads and knee pads and those ninja turtles pajamas lol

by the way i'm 23, so i might just go with the weapons and a purple bandana.

General Traag 09-10-2007 01:32 PM

Actually, that's a good one!

I'm not exactly sure about my Halloween plans, but I will have trick-or-treaters visiting. Also, good thing I don't let my cats outside (the older one is completely black).

For the record, Figaro the cat, my mother's who just died this year at age 21, disappeared during Halloween Day when he was one year old, but came back on his own the next day, with no sign of harm. Fortunately he had a friendly disposition.

ToTheNines 09-10-2007 03:27 PM

I saw a 2k3 Leo costume at Marshalls that I almost bought. It would have been a tight squeeze, but I would have worn it proudly.

Roseangelo 10-21-2007 11:53 PM

Yikes. And I thought the other adult costume was bad...

As for costumes, I just test-drove my Mikey costume today at Boston ComicCon! It went over really well, I'll post some pictures once my roomie sends me the ones she took. I've been working on it for a few weeks, it's pretty awesome. (And really damn hot!) I'm going to wear it to a Halloween party at the office where I work.
