Irma: cute or no?
In the original toon, April was always seen as the 'hot' female character on TMNT. Now, there was also Irma, but due to her personality traits and frumpy clothes she was never seen in the same way as April.
Do you think if Irma wore different clothes that she would be considered 'attractive'? If she got a different pair of glasses? She really isn't ugly. |
I don't know that I ever saw April as "hot"..maybe it's because she wore yellow, my least favorite color. I don't think Irma was attractive, though. She was too "whiny" and annoyingly boy crazy.

Dude, I find her totally cute... and I'd be more than just her friend... I'd try to be the guy she was always lookin for...
|
To be honest yes she's cute, and her personality is sweet too. :)
|
At least she didn't look like Archie Irma
|
I thought she was kind of annoying but ultimately good for the OT. If she had been a character in the current series I doubt anyone would harbor any positive feelings for her but she seemed to be a desent fit for the 87 series.
I suppose she was cute |
Can I see a picture of this Irma person?
|
you really owe it to yourself to see some turtle media. :)
here is sweetie pie Irma in all her glory http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z...rtles00029.jpg http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/b.../s5d100052.jpg |
i would concider irma neither particulary cute or ugly! in my eyes shes pretty average looking, but no matter how attractive or unattractive she would be i still find her annoying and me least favorite tmnt character!
|
She didnt exactly take the hair and glasses down long enough to register as a knock-out.
Her character was ten times more interesting than April's career-aholic personality. She didnt really care WHO she slept with, that included humans, aliens, Turtles, all kinds... Not a 'shipper by heart, but I loved the little scenes she had with Donatello, probably the only Turtle that fit her. |
Haha, I look just like her. Glasses and all, though my hair style is currently 'short' right now.
I always thought she'd be really cute if she changed her clothes. Isn't there an episode where she wears another dress? I can't remember |
Irma is not ugly or unattractive.
However, she is way too boy-crazy. I know they did it on purpose to contrast her with April the career woman. But Irma needs to find herself some hobbies and interests. That way she'll be more appealing to men. |
I think she wore a bikini in "leatherhead: terror of the swamp"? Maybe not, memory is sketchy...
|
O_O *runs off to watch the DVD*
j/k... Just had to make the joke. |
For Irma's different attire--
I recall what Pliggin's says (at least for her wearing a swimsuit at some point, may have been that ep. not sure). As for the dress cowabungalives wonders of, again not sure of the episode, but the 'Drome's Image Gallery has such a picture (in the Misc. area). Then also have the superhero outfit from "Super Irma". Beyond those, don't recall any other different ones from her usual clothes. |
Does her chipette costume count?

At this point, I just want April to turn to her and say, "Uh... Irma? Maybe you'd actually have a relationship if you didn't want to nail the first thing that came along." Adding to that her Robosexuality and beastial relationship with Donatello, she's freakin' effed up. |
I guess putting aside how odd it is to talk about how cute or not cute cartoon characters are: not really. Maybe she just seems too annoying.
While we're on the subject though, as far as April goes, I thought the Archie April design was better than the cartoon April design in some ways. Like how she finally got an outfit other than that yellow jumpsuit. http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/6...044largrv8.jpg |

Yeah, infact Archie April had a wide variety of outfits. |

I think the Archie version of April was superior in everyway. She wasn't as one dimentional as the cartoon version. Seriously, did Irma appear in any issue outside of the "we didn't get the character model or style guide so we'll just make something up" Velma from Scooby Doo appearance in Return of the Shredder? |

Nope, they didn't use many cartoon-based characters after the adaptations. |

She got sweet on Donnie for a sec in more than one ep. That's all they were talking about.
|
I also just found her annoying.
Here are some caps of her from wearing different cothing from the episodes Green with Jealousy and Leatherhead: Terror of the Swamps: http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...er21/Irma1.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...er21/Irma2.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...er21/Irma3.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...er21/Irma4.jpg |
Uhhh... she's a cartoon.
|
Oh gosh. Looks-wise, Irma IS a human version of Jeanette the Chipette!!!
However, their personalities are VERY different. And I prefer Jeanette's. For some reason, I think Jeanette came first. So why would they clone her looks as those of a human? Especially one who thinks and acts so different. |

Actually, I forgot how terribly annoying Irma was in the earlier episodes. When I'm remembering episodes that didn't piss me off terribly, it's always the pilot mini-series (before Irma showed up) or the CBS episodes. So, yes, she was initially so annoying that I never would have liked her if that was all I could remember. But, in the CBS episodes, she was consistently the not-too-smart smart-ass who just wouldn't pass up a chance to meet men. She was a whiny bimbo before that.

You know what, never mind. You two crazy kids live a happy life together. |
LMAO I can imagine years from now... already married with April and having kids....
"What do you mean you're a cartoon?" "Well... I tried to tell you, but something always came up..." |

But yeah I was thinking about how much each character changed from the weekday episodes to the cbs ones I even laugh at some of the things Burne Thompson says in the cbs episodes. |

I found that site amusing for about two seconds. But, after considering how much effort went into putting it all together... I have nothing but time on my hands, and even I'm too busy to setup a pointless little game like that.
