why do you join a forum if all yer gonna do is cause trouble. be civil like the rest, or don't come here

It's not because everyone disagrees with you, not everyone does. But if one or a few people do, you can't go and insult them, it's against the rules. Mods lock threads most of the time simply to quell the oncoming fight and avoid a bad flame war.

This forum is *NOTHING* when it comes to flames...you guys should see the ultimate elitest flame weary forum on the internet: Megatokyo forums.

That's exactly why I refuse to go to GameFAQs anymore... it's impossible to have an intelligent conversation.

How very true that is. TONS of idiots and immature babies on those boards, but there are a few good ones.

I'll admit there are few cool people that visit that board, but after a month or two of going there, the bad out weighed the good... There is now only 2 Message boards I frequent (This is one) anymore, because the mods do their jobs well, and because the good outweigh the bad here. (and at Metroid Database Messageboard)

When people begin to insult each other's governments and countries, then you really have a problem. Some of the WWII boards I go to have non stop arguments between people blaming the US or Europe for every wrong doing in the past 100 years, and the sad thing is the guys are like in their 30s and 40s and they act like 15 year olds!

lol I know the type... I hate when I talk to people from a country like France, and they blame all the wars from the past on America today. (now, Im not saying people from France are bad, that was just something that happened recently)

Oh, man...one of the forums I used to go to were nothing but trouble. I left one of them recently, and I'm not going back. Lots of flame wars, indeed.

You haven't been to many forums have you... :sweatdro: actually this is one of the most quieter forums i know, mainly because they wont let people like you start insulting everyone thus starting flamewars.
You can't insult people, it's one of the rules, if you don't agree with the rules then you shouldn't have registered in the first place!
As for people not agreing with you...well duh, this is a discussion forum, with real people whose opinions might differ from yours. so get over it (by example, i think the new toon rules, april can be a teen and you are as smart as bebop...do you disagree with any of this?yes?Then i've made my point.)

If think this forum is bad, you haven't even seen half of the forums on the internet. This is one of the better ones, I can safely say. But I think it applies to all forums, if you respect other people, they'll respect you.

And the Doomworld forums are AWFUL! I can't figure out where the hell they get their mods from.

Aww, that's nothing. My dad was a Civil War re-enactor...they still argue over how the war would have gone "if...". Plus they argue over things like using the right sort of buttons on their uniforms. :)

Before it was edited you called us a**holes and yet you proclaim to not want to start a flame war? this is almost as contradictory as your statement about april's cleavage

I think this forum is perfectly fair..... none of the moderaters has every done anything (that i can see) that seems even close to unfair to me.......If you play by the rules, you would think the same thing...........

Also I do think some of the things that are locked up deserve it.....I'm sure even older members find certain things offensive....and most definatly calling people names is a way to start a sure fire war!

I think I speak the truth when I say: "Drop the damn issue". You must be the world's biggest weiners if you find quarrel in cartoon forums. I said the new cartoon isnt a good as the old one! OH NO, suddenly Ragnarok bursts into the forum and the "flame of war" turns into a "inferno of nerd threats". While I do enjoy watching everyone here make their idle threats against Wyrm and I, I already grow weary of it. So, from my family to all you people who just have to make a big deal about it, I suggest you have a heapin' helpin' of "Shut the hell up". My own recipe!

Anyway, I really do think this forum is fair. Most people actually get along with each other which is great, because that is what it all boils down to. Trust me, I have seen my fair share of forums: Some you can get away with so much that you wonder if the mods have banning powers, and others are so strict that if you were to use a sarcastic face or just disagree with someone at the wrong time, a flamewar is bound to happen and you will be banned immediately with no warning or anything (I have been banned from a few, so I know). I think this forum is fair that it has warnings and restricts users from insults and all that other nonsense, Krang and the mods really do a good job here! :)

You want a bad forum? Check out Nirvanaclub.com's. Its really bad there. The mods block 5 out of 7 topics (they have a general discussion forum, but you have to go through 5 pages i think to get to it).

Everyother comment on there is "idoit n00b", "mods ban this" "F you!", "dumb@$$", "this was brought up ___ years ago, read the boards/faqs stupid n00b!!!111"

Funny thing is, the n00b comments are comming from people who just recently registered :lol:

In terms of MB ethics and behavior, this is easily the best one I've ever seen.

I don't think it was unfair to you, considering you were breaking rules you aggred not to break.

Those WWII people do that too, there is a whole section devoted to "what ifs" on one of the boards I visit.

In other words, Doomworld! :lol: :lol: :lol:Don't tell me you've actually BEEN there before!

I can't insult the mods there fully however; I used to be one myself (of the fanfic forum)! But a majority of the mods and admins there are ones that either:

-Have kissed a$$ so much as to win the webmaster's respect OR

-Have been studying computer languages since pre-school OR

-Have ever been part of clan that made a perfect mod (yeah, if you make levels in that community, they have to be extremely detailed, otherwise they'll regard you as a group-home reject) OR

-All of the above + some other things...

My next post will consist of a mock rule sheet I made for Doomworld not too long after I was banned...

No, even worse than doomworld....you cannot curse at ALL, nothing, not even damn can be used that much....but it's all good, someone has been spamming there site for months now because they were banned as well, so I am still happy. :)
