More Mini-Mutants Out 08/09/08
Looking over ebay this morning these items came up in the search for new TMNT.
http://savtoyfinder.hypermart.net/xtremeshredder.jpg Was in this auction He listed this as well but it's now gone. http://savtoyfinder.hypermart.net/mikepad.jpg So I'm guessing if you guys haven't seen these in stores yet you will soon. The only thing I see that I don't like is that 4 arm Clone Shredder is simply called Shredder |
I bought the Mike and Don playsets a week ago. I'm glad they finally came out because I was worried that Playmates would forget about them like some of the other toys.
Also, its the only way to get Mini Foot Soldier and Mini Bigfoot at this point, I don't think those two are obtainable in 2 packs |
I still have not seen Mike nad Don's playsets yet
|
Thanks Vaughn I have been waiting to hear something about these :)
I have been wanting the Mike and Don sets. I will have to go to Target again now that I see they are surfacing. Did you get them from a store or Ebay Cybercubed? |

I have yet to see them in our area the only new things poping up in stores in the PA area seem to be those new movie Mech Wreckers and the Sub Sewer TMNT but sadly not the 2 mutants (of course the only things I want). |
I live in New York and I bought the Mike and Don mini-playsets in Target.
I haven't seen the new 2-packs over here though, and we only have the Sub Sewer Turtles but not the monsters. Did anyone find the mole mutant or that other creature from the Sub Sewer line? I hope they aren't UK exclusive again. |
I personally have yet to see any of the Sub-Sewer line, and neither Metal Klawz nor Spyder Bytez have shown up on eBay to my knowledge (the Turtles have, however). I, too, am curious to see if anyone has seen the mutants from this line.
|
I think that the fact we actually have new villains in this assortment is the only thing truely interresting. I hate the clumsily added in X-Sports... but Jammerhead's part of this assortment, right? I just hope they keep bringing in more great villains to round these out. I thought the Paleo Patrol's line up had the saving grace of the pack in Dinos and Bugs, but I doubt I'd get the ones with the bugs (I hate toy bugs, myself)

Some more just came up on Ebay today so these things have to be out in stores.
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...IES/A101-1.jpg Auction can be seen here http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...ODIES/A102.jpg Auction can be seen here I really like that Baxter figure, I'll be buying that one for sure! Once again these are not my auctions, nor would I pay such crazy prices for figures that have just come out to stores. |

I just don't get it really when like almost none of the old tmnt toys are worth anything, but people can sell the new ones for 14.99 when they cost 5.00 in the stores if that.:| |

Wowzers! It's Inspector Stockman! Man, I really love that one. The roller blades on all these dudes are removable, right? Not so much that I don't like them, as much as they'll be impossible to stand up and display with them. |

Thanks for the heads up and review, quick question though, if I removed the extra hands and painted the Shredder could I be close enough to the third mini clone? I have yet to buy a mini mutant, but will if I could fit him into my regular sized collection with some customizing. I was thinking when I first saw him that taking my extra 4 armed clone's head and putting it on this body it might work. If you have any thoughts on this it would be much appreciated (I'm on a custom kick). Thanks!

These should be hitting Target soon. They were at both of the ones I checked This weekend... and we're usually the last ones to get them, as we're on the East Coast...

I'm on the West Coast, and the immediate surrounding stores are always slow to get the newest figures. The only exception was Fast Forward wave 1, which showed up at the local Toys R' Us about two to three weeks before anyone else I know of claimed to have them.
|
I finally saw them at Walmart but nowhere else.
|
How much are these mini-figs costing? Normal price that is, not jacked-up ebay prices...

But yeah I've seen the first 2 waves at Target and K-Mart and all 3 at Wal-Mart (haven't checked Target or K-Mart to see if the 3rd wave is there yet but it probably is). Im majorly surprised that my town is getting em so quickly. Mostly cuz Im on the west coast. |

Sorry to double post but just thought people would like to know I've seen the other 2 playsets at wal-mart.

Sorry to post again but I've got another update at my blog for everyone about wave 3.

Where is Extreme Sports Drako?
Anyone know when the mini Michelangelo and Shredder figures with exo-suits are coming out? |
Quote:
And nope no idea on those, but since Murph showed them on his blog I'd guess not until christmas or 2009. |
The Extreme Sports two-packs and Paleo sets are readily available here in Alabama.
One thing though, the Paleo Raph set had a Don head. They had all four sets on the shelf, so I picked up Don and Raph an compared them thinking it was a mispaint (the purples were slightly different shades) but as I looked at the face I realized Raph was Don-headed. The weapon and everything else was Raph, though. And the Sub-Sewer line Turtles is out here also, in case some of you have been wondering. |

I noticed Don's playset is available for purchase on ebay (finally!), unfortunately it's 20 bucks: do'h! :ohwell:
|
I already found some at the Wal*Mart, now that I'm here in the states. I didn't care much about all the all-grey 4-armed Shredder, but I did get the 2-packs with Baxter and the Foor Elite. They're cool. I also saw those Sub-Sewer Worker Turtles or whatever they're called. but eh, the last thing I need are even more TMNT figures. I preffer the secondary characters.
|
I "hid" this at my local Wal-Mart and was happy to still find it where I stuck it (at the back of the bottom peg :P)
Now behold, the Don-headed Paleo Raph: http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...rot/Turtle.jpg |
Ha ha, that's gold!
And I still have yet to see ANY Sub-Sewer figures in stores yet, although I have all four of Mini-Mutants Wave 3. |
I wonder if a Wave 4 is on the way.

Will there be a mini fig of Nightwatcher I'm going to look for the Raphael one
|
Wave 4 should be likely :)
|
I was thinking about Wave 4 for a while last night. Came up with some ideas/theories.
Wave 4 idea 1: Alternate Identities Ghost of the Jungle vs. Oroku Saki Turtle Titan vs. Cyber Shredder Nightwatcher vs. Yaotl ... Couldn't think of one for Donny, unfortunately. No way would playmates resurrect the ol' Dark Turtle.... Wave 4 idea 2: Allies Nightwatcher & Casey Jones Turtle Titan & Silver Sentry Baxter Stockman & Agent Bishop Mr. Touch & Mr. Go which would lead into... Wave 5 Leonardo (black ninja garb) & Usagi Donatello (again, Donny gets the shaft because I can't think of a variation for him) & Leatherhead Oroku Saki & Karai Viral & Sho'Kanabo |

Anyway, if they did make a mini-Turtle Titan, I'd tend to want to see the new version used in TLS and FF, rather than the original one used in 2k3. Of course, I don't think I'd go with those villains completely. I like Cyber Shredder, though. For wave 4, I'd LOVE to see the Cyber Turtles, and their Tron vehicles, if they can't get them into the regular line up. |
