Toys you wish they made

This type of thread I am sure has been done, but I thought it would be fun.

Personally I wish they had a Movie Star Shredder! further a movie star line of the first movie turtles would have been sweet. Which brings me to think why not do a line for the first movie much like all these McFarlin movie toys we see for all these other movies.

They had Super Shredder from the "Secret of the Ooze" movie, as well as Tokka and Rahzar, and Foot Soldier. But no moviestar April, and not characters like Keno, professor Jordan Perry, Tatsu and Vanilla Ice. But look at http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toys/1992.htm, the action figures for the characters from the third movie are dated 1992, the film itself 1993.

NightwatchersOnlygirl 09-16-2008 09:55 AM

A soft bodied Nightwatcher fig from (TMNT 2007)

Buslady 09-16-2008 10:08 AM

I want the freaking Raphael bust that was supposedly gonna be released a couple years ago. not a toy but a Playmates' item.

I would like 5 piece TMNT1 set, about 7" figs with exacting detail all the way down to Raph's scar on his lip and the little curl of Mikeys smile. :P
Actually I'd lke Sideshow to do a 10" TMNT1 set in polystone....

Yes, but that's Super Shredder. CT was talking about just plain ol' Shredder.

What? Wait... maybe I don't want to know....

Canadian Turtle 09-16-2008 11:27 AM

The S is right i meant plain shredder and even super shredder wasn't what I would call their 'Movie Star' line. Being as the turtles looked more or less like the ones from the movie in detail.

And again with the Nightwatcher thing.... (shivers)

Drtooth 09-16-2008 11:58 AM

The entire Justice Force, past and Present.

And all the stuff they could have done from the Lost Season...

and cartoon turtle toys that didn't do Tex Avery stuff unlike the actual cartoon. Basically the same as everyone else.

I also wish they made a Shredder that came with a removable helmet, and a removable chest plate that revealed Che'rell.

Canadian Turtle 09-16-2008 12:42 PM

There were also a few vehicles from the early first season episodes. I remember the foot using. There was this bike thing and a flat track vehicle that were gray, I always figured the mini technodrome vehicle was the closest they got to that. I found in general there were far fewer bad guy vehicles which sucked I thought.

Ancient One
Armaggon
Aska

War
Verminator-X

a decent Leatherhead would be nice. I hope Karai gets remade. A Chrome Dome with normal feet so he could stand up easier...agh

Irma

And an ordinary Irma was never released, just the "toon Irma" version

Canadian Turtle 09-16-2008 04:10 PM

But what would a 'normal' Irma look like? Would it be any different?

Hard to say, since the Toon Irma looked different from the Irma in the 'Toon.

It was kind of disappointing that there was only one villain in the Toon line, and it was a repaint.

Yeah they should have released that small Krang's Android body figure with the rest of the toon turtles line as well as Splinter, April, Bebop, & Rocksteady.

Canadian Turtle 09-16-2008 08:37 PM

By the way I sooooo want a small android Krang body !!!!! if anyone has one. I'll even trade a whole Technodrome for one.

More toys: More playsets would have been cool! Possibly a city street or even different attachable parts to the sewer!

Mutated Turtle 09-16-2008 09:19 PM

i wish playmates toys made: slash rubber head, oozeing turtle, klunk, city playset, slash mech wrekker, klunk mech wrekker, 10 pack of mousers, super articulation turtles, :o :P:)

I wish I have seen all the 2k3 stuff. I am a big time OT fan, but I love 2k3. Although I am waiting for the rest of the season DVDs because I can't find them individually anywhere.

What is the Oozeing Turtle?

Mutated Turtle 09-16-2008 09:43 PM

a oozeing turtle would be tmnt toy that had ooze on it and that ooze drip

Hero 09-16-2008 11:25 PM

I'd love a Klunk figure although I am sure one would be easy to customise from a Kitty in my Pocket toy or something.

I can see this thread going on forever. :)

I baught an orange tabby figure from Michaels a while back and put it in front of one of my Michelangelo figures. Looks enough like Klunk that it's almost as if I have an actual Klunk figure. :D

Im tempted to buy one of those orange tabbies they have at build a bear store and name it Klunk. I'd love to have an official Klunk plushie tho. That would be awesome.

Jester 09-16-2008 11:39 PM

ARCHIE!!!

There, I'm done.

But seriously, there are a lot of characters from all the TMNT incarnations that were never imortalized in plastic. It's sad really.

Archon_Turtle 09-17-2008 04:25 AM

Rex-1
The Starmobile
The Crooked Ninja Turtle Gang
The Anti-Turtle Squad
Granator (sp?)
the four separate frogs
A general Traag that LOOKED like general traag

Canadian Turtle 09-17-2008 08:15 AM

I always thought that the 'Foot Cruiser' (which I still want to buy I might add) looked a little like the car the neutrinos had. In fact the episode where shredder ends up taking off with it, I always assumed they would make it into the foot cruiser, but like every plot line in the OT the bad guys NEVER made any progress or did anything, which kinda sucked.

Original TMNT Cartoon Fan 09-17-2008 09:07 AM

Archie

A lot of cool Archie stuff was never released, like the Future TMNT, Armaggon, Verminator X, Cudley Cowlick, Bellybomb, Maligna and the Malingoids, Chien Khan, Noi Tai Dar (the demon), Scul and Bean, some of the Mutanimals, Chameleon, Al Falqa and Katmandu and Oyuki Mamisha (the poor Japanese street child teenage girl in Hiroshima who became April's friend).

The Foot Cruiser was inspired by the StarMobile, but was not anywhere near accurate in body details or color to the StarMobile.

Footcruiser

The Footcruiser was released in 1989 (see http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toys/1989.htm). Sadly it didn't appear in the 1987 cartoon. It could have been a neutrino vehicle that Krang and Shredder stole from the neutrino's planet and re-built.

Canadian Turtle 09-18-2008 10:25 AM

^ Ya like I say correct me if I'm wrong, but there was an actual episode where Shredder drives off in their car, unless he crashed it and I don't remember. I just remember thinking when i saw it, that the next ep they would have a re-paint of it which would have been cool!

I have always been a fan of listing the appearance of all the toys in the show. There seemed to be short sperts of time where they would extensively use the items and then drop them all together.

Well I never saw one at any stores here... *sighs* I totally want one. He'd be a perfect adition to stand next to my Nobody fig....

There was like 5 of him back in 2004 or so in a Tacoma Fred Meyer... they were all gone quickly, unlike the 20 Fighting Gear Turtles - six of which are still sitting on their clearance rack to this very day....

The episode you think of is "Pizza by the Shred".

Canadian Turtle 09-19-2008 03:41 PM

So I forget, was their an ending or did he get away and then we never hear from it again?

Its like they would change writers and things would change. Like when they would go in one directing with the episodes and then the other. I always never really liked the episodes where they would fight random 'thugs' or mob guys. I always liked the mutant episodes and the Shredder and Krang ones. But I guess who doesn't?

Leogeddon 09-19-2008 03:42 PM

A more poseable Leatherhead from 80s series.

No, they never made a Big Louie figure.

I'd love to see new figures based on the first two movies, but I know that's not happening.

And Pinky Mc Fingers? Isn't it funny that some characters from various TMNT versions were made action figures, while other just appeared as just action figures but never appeared in some other TMNT versions.

They didn't ever make any of the gangsters.
In fact oddly enough allot of the old toon characters never got made into plastic figure form.
