Purple-Armoured Super Shredder
 

Does anybody here actually have one? I know it's been discussed a few times as appearing in loose lots (the only evidence I have of this are images I saved when they were initially posted on the forums), but I've only seen it myself in huge, expensive carded lots. I normally ask if the lot doesn't sell, if they'd be willing to sell just that one figure to me (long shot, but never hurts to ask). I've actually gotten people that agree to do so, but say they have the lot to auto-relist x amount of times, and it always ends up relisting over and over until someone buys the lot. I believe I was once told it was released somewhere in Europe.

WOW! I've never seen this either, it's a foreign release btw Archon, but I'm sure you guessed that.
this could be why we've never seen thsi figure before though.

Hmmm...I might have seen one of these a long time ago on some local auction website. I'll keep a lookout, if I find on of these I'll let you guys know.

Seems like a strange choice for a variant. Almost seems like the purple plastic was cheaper to obtain at the time and Playmates didn't want to take as big of a chance since they didn't know how well the figures would do there.

Looks like I opened a can 'o worms, 'cause now everyone wants one :p

Not even Tom at Myteefinestuff has seen one...I showed it to him and he just assumed it was a bootleg.

I was thinking it could be an error but no it's got those blue weapons.
This is seriously something official and from another country, we've just never seen it before.
shame you showed that guy btw no one will ever get one now if they pop up on ebay as most of us know Aunti-Berb likes to be a toy hog.

actually, he isnt interested in it. He doesn't do foreign releases at all.

Or Bootlegs which he thought it was, and I'm going more in the direction of Foreign release with this one.
But hey you never know he may, he seems to have some sort of endless supply of money.

BAH! I saw one on Ebay several weeks back, in a pretty sizeable carded lot. I had no interest in any of the other figs. I was still thinking about bidding, but alas, I had not the funds.

That's what happens to me all the time. I only see it in large carded lots that are way out of my price range and also have mostly figures I'm not interested in.

So irritating....

Wow, I've heard of the all black one, but not this one..good find! I hope everyone here that said they want one eventually finds it.

Y'know, it gets one to thinking... could there be other figure variations like this that we're unaware of?

Actually, I meant I would look for you guys and not for me. I'm not interested in keeping the figure myself. :)

Yes, I keep finding blasted new things all the time.
As you know I'm really big on those figures that came with the collector cards and I just recently found a shogun donatello with a second version collector card as well as a robotic bebop with a first version collector card.
And I had never seen them until this year, blows my mind because I used to buy these things by the case.

Oh, I knew that. I just meant that now you've got some sleuthing to do if you're going to please everyone in this way.

Well, I meant actual variations in the figure itself, but I get what you're saying.

That is a amazing find.
I have never seen those images before.
I don't know what that figure slipped by all of us but you S unnoticed.
If I ever get the chance I will add it to my collection, hopefully with the
turquoise accessories.
But I have yet to add the mail away Black Shredder to my collection.

Well, like I said, a long time ago, I saw someone post pictures about it here at the Drome, asking if it was a bootleg. I can't remember for the life of me where at, though. Or maybe I'm just that much of a ninja. :lol:

As for the blacksuit Super Shredder... I don't have one myself, but it can show up on eBay for cheap... I'm still kicking myself for not bidding on that one that ended up selling for $7.95... then again, I had an unexpected expense that month and couldn't reallocate the cash >.<

I've never seen it sell in a single, so it would be a miracle if it did....

Got the parcel in today, and I received...

The standard Super Shredder :(

I've done business with these folks quite often, and I always receive exactly what I ordered, so I'm more than fairly certain this was simply in err, and not some sort of double cross.

I'm praying that this will be able to be resolved, and I am able to obtain the purple-armoured variant soon.


EDIT: It seems that, at least according to the vendor, someone else purchased the standard issue Super Shredder and they got sent my variant. Great, it's probably some random f$%&ing yahoo that doesn't even realize the significance of the figure. Between, this, having my mailbox graffiti tagged, and my loo breaking, I'm pretty pissed.

Dude that is rough - I hope you can at least get a refund, I would dog on them pretty hard about it. I recently got sent a Farmer Mike & Tractor instead of a MIB Ninja Grapplor because the seller mixed up the address labels. Needless to say, I was pretty ticked off, since I already had the damned Tractor and obviously the Grapplor is a much, much cooler toy.

Luckily, I was able to resolve this, but it was a pain since the seller then had ME ship the tractor to the right buyer, (though I was refunded) and I had to worry for like a week if I was actually going to get my Grapplor, or if this dude who got my Grapplor was going to go ahead and keep both of them and just SAY he'd shipped the Grapplor.

They did offer a refund, but it's just the fact that something that I have been questing for, for so long, that nobody at the 'Drome even owns, is now in the hands of the unknown.

I once ended up with one of those giant motorized Paleo Patrol Triceratops with the packed-in Raph (from a different vendor) instead of the standard Paleo Patrol Raptor, but I kept it because essentially, I paid $8 for something they were selling for $25. I ended up getting the Raptor later anyway.

But this is a horse of a different colour.

so Im just wondering, how many times have you seen this fig for sale ?

I saw one in a lot a few months ago
One in a lot more recently
And the one that I was supposed to receive but got the wrong one :(
