When I did TMNT figure play back in the day with my NM figures, it was Raph and Venus, if only because I had a mini Raph figure I made their son. :P

They've always been the last of their species because there were no other Mutant Turtles. Even if say... Leo did Lotus/Karai/Radical, Mikey did Kala/Seri, Don did April and Raph did Ninjara/Mona Lisa, their kids sure as hell wouldn't be mutant turtles anymore, would they?

Adding a female Mutant Turtle just opens that door wether you want it to or not. Probably why Laird was so hellbent against having her character created for New Mutation.

And c'mon guys, let's stop acting so squeemish. I know, I know, they're Turtles, but they act more human than any pet turtle you'll ever see in real life which is why we all watch the show to begin with (who wants to see a show about 4 baby turtles just swimming around a glass bowl for half an hour?)
