New TMNT! "Mayhem From Mutant Island!!!" Shorts
 

It seems like these shorts create a bonus episode of Back to the Sewer, kind of like Teen Titan's lost episode. And it looks like you should watch them in order. I wouldn't watch the short online (which is the third one) until you see the first two tomorrow morning.

hopefully they show it early in the showing because watching a whole episode will drive me crazy.

Hopefully 4kids puts them all up on their website, I'm not sitting through Chaotic for a short.

Hmm...I wonder how many shorts there are. Ten shorts would make this "series" about 12 minutes long, half the length of a usual episode.

So maybe there's twenty, so as to have a full episode. :tsmile:

BTW For those of you who have seen part three, does it look like the BTTS series or does it look something like the old shorts?

It's done in BTTS style. It even has a bit of the BTTS theme playing before it.

If you ask me, these shorts were intended to be a regular episode of the BTTS season and it got held back once they knew they were being cancelled.

One look at them and you'll notice that they are where a lot of the intro clips came from, so these had to have been made alongside BTTS, not after.
Meaning long before not being renewed.

Man, I'm glad I woke up and watched BTTS this morning! I would have missed it otherwise. If this continues, I hope it stays in the same timeslot (It's hard enough sitting through Chaotic, but they could make it worse).

I'm not sure if it was just me but after watching the first episode of back to the sewer again this morning(for the 3rd time) I'd swear there where things I didn't see in the episode before or it seemed edited for some reason.
Perhaps it's just me though...

They cut the FF intro. Either that, or I fell asleep for exactly that amout of time :P

Anyways, second one aired. Now to go watch the third...

honestly i think these are just clips from the upcoming DTV movie as tiny sneak peaks untill they finally air the whole movie whenever that is.

Just watched the 3rd. So, I'm guessing there's at least 6 of them.

I'm just glad we didn't have to watch all of chaotic. That Jack Black wannabe makes me wanna kill puppies.

These shorts are cool, but it just brings up the sour note that were not getting another season.

This is actually kinda insulting. Why not just do more episodes for this season? Or a new season? :x I'm not a big fan of BTTS but this season was soooo short that full episodes would of been much more satisfying than these "shorts". I say either end the show for good or do 22 minute episodes, not stupid little shorts!!!! *slams fist on the table*

Because it costs a lot of money to produce full 22 minute episodes, and in this case several 1 minute shorts that will probably add up to 20 minutes is a massive money saver.

Put your blame on Playmates, not 4kids. Playmates isn't contributing the funds for another season, Mirage/4kids cannot carry the show themselves.

Where are the first 2 parts. I see part 3.

The first short from the "Mayhem From Mutant Island!!!" series will appear during "TMNT: Back to the Sewer" at 9:30 a.m. The second video short will be broadcast during "Chaotic: M'arillian Invasion" at 10:00 a.m.

They showed them on tv not online (yet). Did anyone who watched the 1st part remember what the title was? I think the 2nd part was "Terror Unleashed"

So, is the two shorts along with the 'bonus' one, part one, two, and three seperate episodes or is a whole episode split up in three parts?

I caught Chapters 1 and 2 of these this morning (and since I actually DO like Chaotic (a LOT better than SOME of the absolute, unmitgated CRAP on before and after it and BTTS), sitting through this mornings ep of it was no biggie. ESPECIALLY since I wanted to see if Smelden (sp?) actually survived last season start of this.), and I absolutely LOVED them!!! (TO the point that I watched them all FOUR times (I have the Superstation Package on our DishNetwork service, so I can do that), and LOVED every single airing of them!)

I also got them recorded off on my Dish DVR, but with-OUT recording the whole BttS OR Chaotic eps (I already HAVE "Tempus Fugit" ON my DVR, so I don't need it again.). The only thing that BUGS me now is that I have to go to the 4KIDS site so see Chapter 3! Are they NOT going to run the REST of this on TV?! If NOT, that's going to screw up my recording them as extras for my HOME-recorded BttS DVDs, 'cause I REALLY don't think that they can be recorded off the website to my DVR. (I may be WRONG, but I seriously DOUBT it. Drats.)

Anyway, on the subject of seeing Chapter 3 and 4 sometime NEXT Saturday, I hope that we do. I WANT these shorts, as I messed up and MISSED more than HALF of the original ones!

*sighs* Sorry if it sounds like I'm griping, but I got up WAAAAAYYYYYYYYY the shell too EARLY this morning, in the hope of catching the shorts IF they'd run before the times that they did. Was NOT happy that I made myself get up at 6 AM this AM.:sick::dead: (Silly, silly, "she's-got-no-life" Wolfie, huh?:roll::lol:)

Right the first time, and no, you didn't. I was wide awake, and noticed that myself. Not sure WHY they cut it short, but they did.

And on top of THAT, it wan't even the FF intro! I was the last few seconds of the BttS one! Go figure.


Caught and recorded the second, and just finished watching the third one of the website. LOVED it, and caught the ad that there'll be a NEW short next Saturday.

STILL don't know HOW I'm gonna get me furry little paws of Chapter 3 so I can record it, though......................:-?

The 4Kids staff member who posted here talking about developing more episodes makes more sense than he did a few months ago. They'll probably all air in this format (assuming there's more than one)

Well, this is an interesting development. It looks as if this was indeed intended to be a full episode at one point. Does anyone remember a promotional image long before the series aired of Mikey in his 'Sub-Sewers' gear or whatever? Well, here it is.

And the 4Kids rep had been alluding to more adventures, so perhaps they'll also be aired in this chopped up format. I just hope they're put together in their entirety with the rest of the season on DVD.

They better since this is already better than that peice of crap Green Mantle episode. Also, the season 4 set had the old shorts (Don't think it was all of them, though).

The first part was called What Lurks Beneath!.

It was cut down so they could had time to air the short. Notice they cut down Chaotic's opening too.

But yeah I'd expect these to show up on the BTTS DVD, hopefully in marathon form. I'm positive all of them will end up on the 4Kids site after all's said and done anyway.

Clever way to use up all the material they created I guess.
