You do realize in Seasons 8-10, Shredder is only in 7 episodes?

And I doubt this is true anyway.

If that's the case, why not have Rob come back and and redub Raph stuff he didn't do?

If it was true I would assume he would have mentioned it when he was interviewed by Isaac and the TurtleDoc guys...which I do not believe he did.

This is not possible. I highly doubt the original masters of this series are around. They use VHS tapes for the DVDs which is a testament to that. It would be more trouble then it's worth, and impossible to try and add his voice in and remove the other without the master. Also it would sound way off because the original was recorded in the 90's and the technology for mics was different back then. Unless they had the same mic that was used for the original recordings it wouldn't match, no two mics sound the same.

They'd also have to reanimate scenes. Shredder's mouth isn't seen moving but his eyes move and his head as well. It'd be really hard for him to try and emulate that. Especially since he has an established style. He'd have to talk slower or faster on lines then he would naturally want to. This part isn't impossible but the rest is.

So this is a BS rumor.

This isn't a rumor on any level, this is simply a person making crap up.

Please discuss this further. I've always wanted to know if the masters for TMNT still exist and what they used as source material to do all these DVDs.

The quality of the transfers and the FHE logos on the end of some of them make it a fair assumption that they use the old VHS copies for the DVD transfer.

Bingo. Also it's obvious when the DVD transfers have tracking lines and other quality issues that wouldn't be present in the masters.

And bad ones at that. Although they might have the original audio masters. Comparing VHS to DVD the VHS audio is really LOUD....compared to the much more equalized DVD.

It's more obvious on the 1993 VHS episodes, so it'll be interesting to compare the two..

Well it wouldn't take anymore then dragging the VHS tape capture file into a timeline and lowering the volume on it to fix that.

All they probably do is get a DVD player that copies tapes to DVDs, copy the tapes to DVDs, rip the DVDs, and then assemble them into the final product DVDs.

Sorry man sounds like B.S. to me and honestly I'm one of the few people who don't have a problem with the other Shredder voice.

If this is about my interview on hulu, I asked if he would be WILLING to record those lines again if approached, and he said yes. They ALL did. that doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Shredder's replacement voices were all fairly good. Calling them an, "abomination" is quite pathetic.

Do you know how misleading your topic subject is? Do you know how farfetched the subject matter sounds? Can you calm the frick down?

The only one that I find unlistenable is Townsend Colemans Shredder.
On the other hand, I love Townsend Colemans Krang replacement. It's quite an original voice in and of itself.

His Shredder though sounds like the Rat King with a throat problem.

What the hell. So not only does Lionsgate screw up the episode releases, but they are also so damn lazy they don't even bother to transfer from the masters? That's bullcrap.

Why hasn't anything more been said about this? Does no one care? Doesn't anyone who worked on the series felt the need to speak up about it?
