Amazing! It's nice to see all those different TMNT universes on one single page. :) I love Dario's take on them.

Looks like they're officially revealing a TMNT multiverse in this issue.

Even if its just that one page, it feels like the new Star Trek movie all over again! Messing up the timeline and putting characters in alternate universes.

Man, I hope they do make some sort of Mirage/Archie crossover in the future.

It wouldn't be the first time Krang, at least, has appeared in a Mirage comic, you know...

I can't stop coming back to look at this. It's seriously owning my eyeballs.:o

It looks like the left is supposed to convey the Mirage universe and the right is supposed to convey -- I think -- the movie-verse or the 4Kids universe... but the top two panels seem to be conveying the exact same universe: the Archie-verse.

When is this issue out? Sorry if it's been asked before. I know it's this month sometime and the Mirage 'Books of the Future' page doesn't give a specific date.

I hope it's not just one page of flashbacks / alternate reality clips, as this seems to indicate ...

The left indeed appears to be Mirage (which seems...redundant). The right is definitely the movie-verse. Dig the fingernails, which are not present in the 2003 cartoon and not a standard of Brizuela's artwork. They were intentionally added for that panel.

The 4th movie TMNT, then?

How cool would it have been if this ONE page had been in color? If only those panels?

I consider all the movies one, loose universe. But yes, the knotted belts specifically suggest the fourth movie.

It's also possible I'm thinking alot harder about it than Brizuela was.

As do I. But I just meant in terms of era.

I'm startig to get very excited for this issue.

So the issue came out today.

Here's my in-depth review with plot summary. Be careful about spoilers and all.

Overall, I loved Dario Brizuela's art and thought it was the best thing about this 4-part story arc. However, I had some issues with the story-itself. I think I enjoyed the arc more when it was just a gratuitous crossover and not a universe-shattering epic.

You pointed this out Spengs, but that full page blow up of that tiny panel was a little weird...

Indeed.

I mean, I know it was probably done in order to accomodate the two page spreads and all, but it was just...a very odd way of doing that. Like they didn't think the page count/layout ahead and had to do something crazy at the last minute to make it work.

After reading this issue...I just have to say a couple things:

Time travel hurts the brain

Didn't like the issue. Very camp, and "Galactose" (huhuhuh, I get it, a play on "Galactus"! huhuhuh) was a sham. Cudley wasn't utilized to any significant capacity... again. The big reveal of the "Multiverse" with the other TMNT universes is just that one page and is much ado about nothing. The COWBoys again test the limits of my interest/patience.

Mike Dooney's opening pager is the best part of the issue.

Since he's named Galactose, why the f*** isn't HE a cow, too?

Given the tone and story of the issue, I seriously thought Dooney might have intended that to be the time-traveler Dale from that early, non-canon Mirage story.

The same reason in the bar fight there were Donkeys and Horses....not everyone in that demension are cows...

You didn't even read my post correctly.

I just read the issue, and that ending was very cheap. Art was superb, but the story was definitely campy. I like that this issue acknowledges that there are other multi-verses of the Turtles, using the other mediums and even some multi-verses from this medium (I think I saw the super-powered Turtles right below that panel where Bebop and Rocksteady were). Overall though, this was just a very campy four-parter. Wasn't really digging the crazy amount of cow puns and cheesiness. I wouldn't have a problem if this was part of the Archie series though, because that one had a completely different tone from this one.

I must admit these issues aren't my cup of tea as well. Its like they're always visiting these Cow buddies from another world. To me it looks more like something for the Archie TMNTA stuff. The stories were barely ok for me. Some were good, they had spirituality etc. I just think better stuff could've been used for these Tales issues. I don't mean to knock the creative guys behind these, but the cartoony TMNT stuff like this doesn't help the image of the TMNT Mirage comics, just like Jim Lawsons art does for Mirages comics. I know Lawson didn't draw these issues but I mean the overall style and image of Mirage, these types of comics don't help convey what Mirages TMNT books should be more like or about.

Just picked my copy up today!

I dunno, Dario did the art for the Leonardo movie prequel and they (well, Leo atleast) looked sorta different. Other than that I agree it's TMNT 07 over the NT, with the pupils and nails and what not.
