These cats are mondo bodacious dude. I wish I could get my hands on the prototypes they took pictures of. Those would be a really great piece in a collection.

rinascimento 10-04-2009 09:27 AM

that creepy crawling splinter is awesome! 10x better than the released one..

There's nothing really different about him. It's the same figure with the 1988 figure's belt and cape on.

Mighty Bebop 10-06-2009 10:09 PM

Hey guys,

I thought you all might like to see this one too, so I scanned it in. Here is the 1988 TMNT catalog.

Enjoy!

:o

Thank You!

It would have been awesome if the Turtle Party Wagon would had The Turtle surprise front panel feature, that was shown in the 1988 catalog.

cloud 10-20-2009 05:02 AM

Thanks for sharing these catalogs. Recently I'm thinking of asking Playmates to consider making a collectors art book collecting all the package art for the TMNT line.

HissCommander 10-30-2009 07:03 AM

Nice stroll down memory lane. Thanks for the pics.

I still have a few of the little insert catalogs you got with vehicles. I love looking at those.

MikesPizzaShack 01-14-2010 09:08 PM

wow thanks for posting that. great memories.

Alex 01-15-2010 02:03 AM

Yeah! Thanks for posting. Cool to see all figures. Especially all from NTNM!

LIES! The arms are different, and the head is too!!! The head is original Splinter's head painted differently.

Samhain 03-10-2010 09:35 PM

AWESOME! Love seeing these things.

McGregor 06-07-2010 05:03 AM

coool, but the technodrome in the 88' cataloge, is different from the released one? Or is it 2 versions of it?

Yes its different. They were originally going to make the large dome inflatable like the blimp but later changed it for the sake of durability. Also, it had a removable section in the front that would've served as a 'bonus vehicle'. There was only 1 technodrome released unless you count the considerably smaller scout rover.

Well, three if you count the mini-mutants version, which is a hybrid of the two :tlol:

Seriously if I can't at least get back what I paid for them, I might as well just keep them lol.

TheCanadiandrome 06-07-2010 11:35 PM

so in other words you'd like $50 each or for the whole lot

Spoiler:
In other words, it's a rare item, so expect it to be pricy.

You do realize you're offering 50 bucks for 250 dollars worth the stuff right? He'd have to be bonkers to sell it for that little. 20 dollars is mentally insane. Toy catalogs aren't something regular people usually get their hands on. That makes them rare items. Like Pip said expect to pay a lot for them.

Luzmagica 06-08-2010 04:31 AM

Thanks a lot for share!! They are very useful to find all the Figures.!!...so I hope Im not going to mislead a TMNT playmate with a bootleg...anymore :embarass::embarass::embarass:!!

TheCanadiandrome 06-08-2010 07:10 PM

yeah sorry my brain lacked oxygen last night. any way, i'll be willing to pay $50 each for the ones i want. just not right now. if VaughnMichael doesn't plan to sell them right away, i'll pick some up later

this is a crazy techndrome pic:

Haha, so I just bought the 1988 April O'Neil at some comic shop in NYC....does anybody notice the gun she's shooting? What's up with that?!? Ha Ha!!!

Canadian Turtle 06-25-2010 10:43 PM

That and the fact that the wagon front bumper flipped down at some point. Kinda don't get the point of that hahaha.

TheCanadiandrome 06-27-2010 04:12 PM

i really want to get that 1988 catalog

TMNachoT 07-05-2010 06:43 PM

I have this one:

http://tortugasninja.comxa.com/imagenes/c2.JPG

It doesn´t say when it was printed but it shows the turtles toys from the third film as new toys... so you can have an idea.
