Worst tmnt product or property?

What did you guys think was the worst thing that ever dealt with the TMNT franchise?

kev trashcan 11-09-2009 07:12 PM

the next mutation was donkey butt hole. god thinking about it makes me want to hannibal leckter and ray liota at the same time.

SwordofTengu 11-09-2009 07:16 PM

When I made this thread that popped in my head, I knew people would say TMNT: The Next Mutation.

Candy Kappa 11-09-2009 07:18 PM

code blue we got a mind reader people. hahaha yeah you cant blame me or us though it was garbage that garbage would throw away

Ninjinister 11-09-2009 08:28 PM

I wouldn't say Next Mutation, because that was a decent concept executed horribly (and plus it had Silver and Dr. Quease, who I liked).

I also wouldn't say Coming Out of Their Shells, for all of the crap and cheese in that, the songs are at least catchy.

Off the top of my head, I would say We Wish You a Turtle Christmas. My GOD that was shyte.

robweb26 11-09-2009 08:48 PM

at spencer gifts in the mall i saw a tmnt snuggie. yeah one of those blankets with sleeves that looks like a bathrobe worn backwards. i saw that and thought that it had ot be the worst product with the tmnt logo on it. in a side note they even had tmnt pimp cups, lol. that has to be the best product with a tmnt logo ever.:D

The true evil about that was it was an excuse (I guess) to not have a Christmas special on the actual show... I can't believe they missed that oppurtunity. Still... my sister, girlfriend, cousins and I laugh our asses off at this one every Christmas.

Those are still the bottom of the barrel, however.

Jephael 11-09-2009 09:07 PM

I can't think of a really bad Ninja Turtle product. Most of them were pretty cool. Though now that I think about it, Playmates did some really stupid crap back in the day!

No, that was not the case.

Why didn't they make one then?

Jephael 11-09-2009 09:40 PM

Maybe some stupid executive at Fred Wolf Films was worried that a Christmas themed episode would be offensive to those who don't celebrate that holiday, which is ironic considering they did episodes set around Easter and Halloween.

Atleast 4Kids had the right idea when they adapted the Michaelangelo Special and had a character say "Happy Kwanza" to make it a nondenominational holiday episode.

I doubt that... it's actually rather rare for a show to not have a christmas special, or a christmas related episode at least.

Spitfire 11-09-2009 09:44 PM

Well the NT has one and it was made in an even more politically correct time.

True that. I remember Back to the Future had a Christmas themed episode where Doc, Marty, Clara and the boys went back in time to 19th Century England. The episode was basically a parody of Charles Dickens stories.

Hmm, don't remember an OT Halloween episode. Which one are you thinking of?

Super Irma.

CyberCubed 11-09-2009 09:49 PM

B:TAS also had Christmas episode, "Christmas with the Joker."

Um.... I could fill the character limit for a post if I wanted to just list random christmas episodes of shows.

hahahahaha giveen ive never seen the phenomenon in person, those snuggies look like the robe to a creepy cult. just look at them dancing around that fire, even dog has one, there no escape now....

shuriken 11-10-2009 03:33 PM

I've never seen those TMNT snuggies but that would defenitely be up there with Crappiest TMNT product.
Along with those crappy flash lights, the calculators, and the ice cream faces.
NT:TNM was not half as bad as those weak ass flash lights.
And wasn't there A Freddy Kreuger rip-off in the OT called Scary Eddie?

Powder 11-10-2009 03:49 PM

LMFAO Scary eddie was so obvious. When I went to the 25th anniversery gallabunga in NYC I had one of the ice cream heads. I was like 15 blocks away when I saw an ice cream man with a next mutation sticker on his vehicle. I bought it thinking it was just an old sticker and that the ice cream would be 2k3 based. Nope. He was creepy and dirty and his TMNT ice cream had expired in 1998. I opened it, it was brown. I still ate it.

jesus man, theres just some things you dont talk about in public.

Lynn 11-10-2009 05:18 PM

I missed the ice cream faces?! :o

Coming Out of Their Shells has got to be the worst.

The Stryker 11-10-2009 05:30 PM

Coming out of their shells for just being really weird.

In terms of me being bored almost out of the fandom entirely, I say 2k3 for me personally.

kev trashcan 11-10-2009 06:19 PM

wasnt there a ninja turtle crack pipe? that was really for "blowing bubbles"

I hated 2k3 after the first like 3 episodes. Thats when I took a break from TMNT. Now that its been a while and I'm an avid reader/collecter of the comics I can appreciate most of it.

The Stryker 11-10-2009 07:44 PM

Well I'm not a big fan of the comics either so I still don't care about the 2k3 show.

cowabunga14 11-10-2009 08:02 PM

I'd have to say Turtle Christmas.

Aztec General 11-10-2009 09:47 PM

Really doesn't get too much more douche-chilling than the "Coming Out of their Shells" tour.

So I should take 'not a fan' literally? Or you just stick with the OT?

Cipher 11-11-2009 01:17 AM

The Christmas Special, far and away.

kev trashcan 11-11-2009 03:46 AM

i still say next mutation was the worst

I stick with mostly OT.

But you could take not a fan literally if you like. Everyone else does. I'm not a fan of the TMNT in it's current form.

hmm, thats kinda complicated. imeean yeah you got the ot but nothing else? and you come here to talk about somthing your not really a fan of?

Powder 11-11-2009 07:34 PM

Well as krang has stated this site was made initially to talk about the OT.. I kinda feel you though stryker, alot of things in the franchise bring about the "beating a dead horse" phrase or whatever it is...

Oooh, still butthurt over me? I'm so sorry.

I like the TMNT. I just don't like their current incarnation. How is that complicated? I don't need to be a fan of every single version to be considered a true fan. But hey, if you wanna label me as a non-fan. Go right ahead. No skin off my back.
