Mutant Module Thoughts. Anyone got more than one Mutant Module toy in his childhood?

I think that after the Technodrome, the Mutant Module from 1990 is one the best tmnt vehicles. Although it had a different color (instead of being grey/white), and a roof door (instead of side door), it was great anyway full of tiny details, colors weapons.

Just see the TMNT commercial from the 1990 Mutant Module and the Turtlecopter to confirm this:

What do you think abou this vehicle. Anyone got more than one Mutant Module toy in his childhood?

Not me, I only got a misb one a couple of years ago. I believe that it would have been awesome to play with 2 of them. It could fit Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady inside one and 3 Foot Soldiers in the other one (or maybe Krang, Traag and a Foot Soldier).

We usually saw the use of various of Modules used especially in Season 3, I can remember several episodes where it appeared more than one of them:

-Beneath the streets.
-Turtles on Trial.
-Burne´s Blues.
-Turtles at the Earth´s Core.
-Super Rocksteady anf Mighty Bebop.
-The Fifth Turtle.
-The Ninja sword of nowhere.

Too bad that nowadays is one of the most expensive tmnt vehicles, especially mib/misb. Also, it´s hard to get a loose one complete (cause it got a lot of tiny parts).

I never had the toy as a kid, but it would have been fun. I too just recently aquired mine and agree with all of your thoughts on it.;)

In my old collection I had a boxed complete one. This current collection one I have is kind of weak. It's missing almost all of it's pieces so the review would be horrible otherwise I would def do the review. I still need to do the mini mutants review you requested awhile back.

Mutant Module video

Look at this video on youtube at 2:18 till end (without sound please cause it´s a living torture the music they used for it) . It´s not a review but it give us a very deep close up, a very good look to a Mutant Module in perfect shape assembled, complete with all it´s features.

I think I would have to give it third behind the Sewer though.

awesome. i dunno what it was i liked best about it. i did always wonder why Playmates went with this instead of making the module resemble the one from the series, but i'm glad they did

Other tmnt episodes where more than one module were used at the same time

-Planet of the turtleoids part 2 (about fifteen appeared here).
-Leonardo is missing.
-Enter Mutagen Man.
-Attack of Big MACC

I never owned the module as a kid, but I did recently score one on ebay 95% complete w/ box for only $41. Along with it I got Gen Traag, Triceraton, and a footski too. I bought the missing pieces on myteefinestuff.com and completed it. Hopefully I can post pictures at some point. its in pretty good condition with all stickers intact.

Ones with complete, loose boxes I'm finding for around $50 on eBay, with loose and no boxes for around $20-$25. I'm looking to have one someday, though it would be neat if someone got a loose model and painted the purple parts gray/white to look more like the one used in the show.

TheCanadiandrome 11-01-2011 12:09 AM

i'm thinking of adding another one mib to my collection
