TMNT belt poll! Vote!
What is your favorite TMNT belt style? Let's see the main ones...
1. Knot. http://www.thegreenlanterncorps.com/belt2.jpg The classic TMNT belt introduced in the first issue of TMNT. Though I believe it only lasted 3 issues before being discarded in favor of... 2. Stitch. http://www.thegreenlanterncorps.com/belt1.jpg In the comics this is the final evolution of Eastman & Laird's own depiction of the TMNT. By and far, it's probably the most widespread depiction of the belts insomuch as the comics go. 3. Buckle/strap. http://www.thegreenlanterncorps.com/belt3.jpg A style of belt popularized by A.C. Farley in the comics and other media. It also carried over into Frank Fosco's depiction of the TMNT belts in Vol. 3. Personally I love the A.C. Farley belts followed closely by the "stitch" look. I never cared for the "knot" look because it makes the material of the belt seem ribbony and not leathery... and less likely/able that the TMNT would be able to store/tuck stuff like shuriken in it. What say you? |
What, no option for the letters on the buckles? :)
|
Buckle all day dude. It's too legit.
|
Buckle. It seems by far the most practical (like it might actually hold some weapons to a shell) and looks really bad-ass when drawn correctly.
Stitch is okay. Hate the knot. There are moments in the 4Kids cartoon where the material stretches very thinly into the knot, and it just looks ... really bad. |
Heh, haveta go against the grain and say knot. Whenever I doodle the guys in green, I always do so with a knot.

Buckle/strap, then closely followed by stitch. Both are pretty sweet
|
as long there's no letters on the belt I'm all good.
but I do like a knot of they have a martial art belt Obi but with leather belts, the buckle looks very cool |

Other - the lettered belts by far.
But if I had to choose one of those, I'd go with the knot. |
Knot, then stitch.
|
I don't think I can choose one, but I was wondering something. The stitched belts, even though they look cool, do not make sense practically. Unless they're not supossed to be taken off, never. Or that the turtles rip them and the sew them again each time they get a bath.
That's it, that was my post. |
Knot, martial arts use knots...

Stitch, probably. The comics got me used to it.

Here is my vote for my favourite:Buckle/strap....second option: Knot.... and last place for stitch! I dont like them!
|
Oh, I see my post was deleted for reasons unknown. I wasn't even being snarky.
Slow day in the office, guys? |
I like the knot best because it looks the most martial artsy. However, I'm a fan of all three styles because they all fit the comic TMNT in their own way.
|
While we're at this, Leo's shoulder strap shall have two strands and metal rings to connect them. So it is written, so it shall be.
And Michelangelo shall not have holsters for his nunchaku. Ever. |

Knots. Very martial arts like.
|
I voted for knot, but I do like the varying styles of belts the guys have. Even some of the fan-style ones.
|
I voted for knot as well. It's also used on NT;TNM.

I'll go with knot though all styles fit to them.

On subject, I find all but the stitch OK. But buckle is totally bamf so I voted for that option. |

And while we have no problem discussing why a mod/admin decision was made with those who were affected by it, we would really prefer that the discussion be held privately. Let's please continue it there if necessary and get back on topic here. |
