Ninjara redesign
 

Okay, so it's not a HUGE redesign, I just changed a few things and streamlined her a bit. I always thought she was rather cool, and when my Turtles obsession reared up again I just started redesigning old characters for the sake of fun. Her origin got a little makover as well, but that's neither here nor there in regards to the picture. ;) Feedback is appreciated as I'm pathetic and need love. Yeah, I just got the code thing. Sheesh, too many codes to remember. *brain fries* Yeah, I hate Geocities, but I'm poor and can't afford to buy my own server yet. Blah. What helps, though, is copying and pasting the URL, for some reason. Dont' ask me why.

Geocities doesn't allow direct linking of images. Many free sites don't. I know, I've got a couple sites on Geocities myself, you always have to copy and paste images.

Of course, now I'm getting a transfer overload error, so I'll check back later.

Hey, that's pretty good. Her face is a little too wolf like tho, but not bad not bad. Bigger boobies would look nice too :roll: The brown however does look a little too saturated for the picture, but then again it could just be me.

CookSux-- Thanks, and yeah she looks a little wolfish but I really don't draw animals so I just kinda fake it instead of looking at references like I should. I'm lazy. ;)

dontelbell-- I'm actually just finishing one that I rather like. I'll post it when I get to my scanner. :)

Jephael-- Sadly, I don't have that issue. I need more of the old Mirage stuff, I only have the four compilations of the first issues and then another compilation of some later issues that involved the leech guy.

Oh, I like this style of Ninjara too. Dos have that egyptian styling, come to think of it.

And... I think her boobs are fine. If they were any bigger, she would have to worry about nicking one (considering the pose she's in). j/k! :wink:

I think the reason it looks so "Egyptian" to you guys is because the head looks like the Jackel's head... and she needs some boobs, to look somewhat more asthetically pleasing. Regardless, it's the head that throws everyone off. It's a perfectly good head, but I can't see it being a female's...

Wow, I like the style. The head does look a bit jackal/Egyptian-ish to me, and it does throw the aesthetics off a bit. But other than that, the composition and coloring is great.

I agree, she needs boobs! :P or you could leave them out too, that way people would actually check the whole drawing and not just that :lol:
Well as i said in the other drawing i like how ninjara looks :D she seems a bit skinny but that's just me.

Getting a lot of Egyptian comments so I think it's time for me to hit the drawing board and modify her a bit. Been doing WAY too much kitsune research for people to be thinking she's some kind of Japanese jackal or something. :P Thanks for all the feedback, guys, it's a big help.

Nice drawing but i'm with the others who thinks she looks alot like an egyptian jackel and she does need some boobs. But other than that its a very well drawn pic.

I'm so tempted to draw her with shockingly disproportioned boobs now it's not even funny. :D But I will work on the things people have mentioned. ;)

Haha we're not talkin about exaggerating body parts, it's more like making her look feminine. BTW anyone thought that Ninjara looked kinda cute in the issue where Future Don and Raph came in through the time portal in the Future Shark Trilogy?

*snicker* Reminds me of how some people commented that boobs on reptilian girls isn't realistic, but on the other hand shouldn't fox-girls and such have mutiple pairs? o.O? I couldn't resist drawing a comic about it. XD

if you're gonna call for the whole "correct anatomy for the animal"... uh... then ninjara, though many pairs of teats she may have, would be COMPLETELY flat-chested except if you intended to have her nursing/whelping fox kits.

and just for the record, I LIKE the amount of boob in the Ninjara picture. She's a trained warrior! She's got a thin build to boot! Muscles and low body fat generally mean that a girl's NOT got too much breast meat. She's ripped and whip-thin and wiry. You can't be a butt-kicking, dangerously bad-ass mo-fo without MAD MUSCLES.

Besides, amazon warriors were rumoured to cut OFF their bow-arm-side breast so they could draw and fire a bow and arrow accurately without getting all that female crap in the way. Talk about hardcore.

So yeah, if you're looking for a "Pillowy Soft" Ninjara, boys, i'd suggest you buy a plushie. I think the athletic build looks good on her.

That's something I never really understood. I mean, I'm okay with a bow and arrow and I'm a D-cup. *scratches her head* 'Course, I think I would use a guard/reducer if I took it up again.

Though I agree, female warriors and athletes, for the most part, tend to be light in the bust area. If you want a curvy, feminine (not to mention dripping wet) Ninjara, that would be my latest work of "art". :lol:

Actually, speaking of gender indentification, the waist-hip ratio is more of a "standard" than the chest. The "ideal" (ideal as in healthy, fit, able to bear healthy children) woman's waist-hip ratio is 3/4, if I remember correctly, while a male's was 9/10. The chest is just more obvious to some people.

BTW, guys, we, or at least I don't think you were "sick" or anything because you thought she'd look better in a higher cup size. Truth is, in Archie, she did have boobs. It was just the fact that all of you said that she needed boobs... I thought that was funny.

Don't worry, we fangirls have our own fan service demands. I, for one, am still rooting for a Raphael shower scene in the new cartoon when they do "The King", based on the Donatello one-shot.

And yes i was going to mention most fangirls not needed to ask other artists to re-draw the males' pants since they draw their own pics of that kinda nature :P but decided not to, its not that i think that's wrong either, its there if ya wanna look at it good, if not, not, i just didnt wanted ninjara to have breasts so she would look "hot" or whatever, i thought it'd look more feminine or something, i guess i didnt express myself well enough.
