What color Lightsaber would you use?

File this under the 'pointless but fun' category, but what color would you choose to wield, if given the chance?

My choice would have to be green. I love that damn green glow.

GK Punk 04-02-2010 07:30 PM

Purple or Blue.

Until I go red.

Lynn 04-02-2010 07:32 PM

I'd have to say blue.

Powder 04-02-2010 07:34 PM

I suppose this thread is more along the lines of what's your favorite color because that is likely what everyone is going to pick lol. That being said I'd have to go with either blue or a sliver/grey. I do love purple too... I think a white/grey kinda lightsaber would be badass.

Spacebabie 04-02-2010 10:25 PM

Well my favorite color is blue, but I would go for Donatello purple.

TheCanadiandrome 04-02-2010 10:31 PM

conisdering it's my fav color, black! or blood red! Sith all the way!

Ra 04-02-2010 11:46 PM

Red.

I don't care what I have to do, but goddamnit I'm going to get a red lightsaber. Even if I have to force choke Yoda to get one.

Roseangelo 04-03-2010 12:33 AM

Blue, because Obi-Wan pwns all.

Peanut 04-03-2010 12:50 AM

No colour, because I played an Ithorian medic in Galaxies and mother f*cka ain't got no Force sensitivity!

ThirdMarioBro 04-03-2010 12:51 AM

Green, because its my favorite color and because and because it would make me look more peaceful than I really am. I'd force choke a bitch anytime.

The Stryker 04-03-2010 02:00 AM

A Blaster.

You people and your hokey religions and ancient weapons.

Mutated Turtle 04-03-2010 02:48 AM

Either Teal or Green, maybe a mix of both.

cowabunga14 04-03-2010 03:36 PM

Probably green.

Roland 04-03-2010 03:55 PM

a light saber that changes in all the colours of the rainbow one colour at a time or a rainbow colour light saber. If should take one colour only i'll take blue for visual light.

(If i could take a non visual light saber i'll take a infra red lightsaber)

愛 04-03-2010 04:01 PM

If they had a black lightsaber, I'd get that, baby.

They did in Force Unleashed, it was pretty awesome.

I'd use purple. The purple sabers always looked awesome to me.

Samhain 04-03-2010 04:43 PM

Purple for me. My fav color and also the way I see it red and blue makes purple. Combination of good and evil. Which suits me well. Muwahahaha!:fshifty:

XERO 04-03-2010 07:20 PM

Pink. How embarrassing would it be to get sliced in half by a pink lightsaber?

Warhorse 04-03-2010 11:18 PM

Purple. I absolutely loved Mace Windu's glowing purple light saber.

Peanut 04-03-2010 11:19 PM

Is there such thing as a lightsaber that isn't glowing?

I'm pretty sure it's just a handle when it's not turned on.

*uses Jedi Mind Trick*

Or... isn't it...?

What about about a infra red lightsaber. You can't see it glowing.

What if you forget to turn it off?

Ninjinister 04-05-2010 07:30 PM

Doesn't matter to me. I'm a function over aesthetics kind of guy, so I'd have one that boasts major adaptability in combat like Asajj Ventress'.

Yes that can be a problem. Our tech people are working on the problem. I guess it may result in loss of body parts.

Really? So, is a flashlight just a handle as well in the off position since it's not flashing light?

What about the black lightsabers people want? Can black glow?

Uh no? But a lightsaber isn't a flash light. It's a laser sword. Also, A sword handle is called a HILT. A very smart gay person taught me that.

I've never seen a black light saber on screen yet, you have a pic that shows a purple halo aligning the parameter of the activated black light from an official source? I'm just curious.

Thank you for reminding me why Krang wouldn't give you access to The Volcano site.

Peanut 04-13-2010 09:24 PM

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has a black lightsaber and it GLOWS!

Now, go f*ck yourself.

Is the language necessary?

Peanut 04-13-2010 09:34 PM

It's kind of what I do.

****er.

And Thank YOU for reminding me why I should be grateful to have just the right number of chromosomes!

Nah I kid I kid. You're alright.

Off topic, honestly, you're really not missing anything on there. Mostly people's opinions on human rights and a really bizarre poll on how often someone pleases themselves.:ohwell:

Brodie 04-13-2010 10:06 PM

Yeah, I was gonna say, he wasn't missing much except for peoples masturbatory schedules.

Anyway, Lightsabers...Isn't the color thing supposed to be related to something spiritual? Like a passing of growth, because Jedi build their sabers? And it depends what crystal they get?

oldmanwinters 04-13-2010 10:13 PM

Here's the general rule for lightsabers:

Blue never beats Red.
When Red is beaten, it is always with Green.

Evidence:
Obi Wan loses his Blue saber fighting Darth Maul, kills him with Qui Gon's Green.
Obi Wan and Anakin lose to Dooku in Episode II (both[?] used Blue).
Yoda outclasses Dooku with Green, but the fight is cut short.
Obi Wan beats Grievous with Blue though Grievous uses multiple Blues and Greens.
Yoda bested by Palpatine while using Green (came close though!)
Obi Wan "loses" against Vader in Episode IV using a Blue (I think).
Luke loses against Vader in Episode V using a Blue.
Luke finally triumphs over Vader using Green.

Thus, if you want to stand a chance against a red saber, you better come packin' green.

This all held up perfectly until... Anakin beat Dooku with a Blue in Episode III.:ohwell:
And then I guess there are the Clone Wars episodes that damage the live-action movie pattern as well. Anakin beats Asajj Ventress using Blue in the original Genndy Tartakovsky animated shorts.

Warhorse 04-13-2010 10:23 PM

Didn't Obi Wan during his duel with Darth Maul, destroy one of the ends of the dual sided saber with the blue light saber? I really don't think he lost the first part of the battle because of the light saber, but because of the same thing that compromises Raphael's fights, anger.

Peanut 04-13-2010 10:24 PM

Don't clump bullsh*t Ninja Turtles logic in with Star Wars.
