first of All , what means IMO ?

IMO is "In My Opinion"

Can't speak for everyone, but the dictionary I turn to when I come across something online that I don't recognize right away is Urban Dictionary.

Great for all kinds of slang and netspeak.

XERO 05-04-2010 03:53 PM

IMO = In My Opinion.

Duh means "Thats obvious".

The second statement means ''Although he can be weird, Lost Angel is a good guy'' basically.

The third is someone joking around about 'lost' being the title of a tv show.

plastroncafe 05-04-2010 04:56 PM

So...you're going to actively ignore the resource offered to you in favor of having a thread entirely devoted to English - Lost Angel, Lost Angel - English dictionary on demand?

Okay.
Rock on with your bad self then.

Okay Got It /

XERO 05-04-2010 05:20 PM

*sighs*

Whatever, man. I tried to help, and I tried to make it more easy for you. You being from France is the farthest from the point, so get that out of your head.

I only said 'too easy' because of the obvious reply that pip gave to you about my 'Hades' comment.

If you want the real explanation... this thread's gone straight to Hell.

Koi 05-04-2010 05:27 PM

Duh

Example = One plus one is two. Duh!

It is just a verbal word people say when they figure out something that is basic and simple to know.

Like
"what color is the sky"
"Blue."
"oh! Duh!!!"

Hope I helped.

This kind of attitude isn't cool. No more of this.

XERO 05-04-2010 05:32 PM

Sewer Bull 05-04-2010 05:35 PM

Some people on this board make us, Europeans, look rather bad.

Katie 05-04-2010 06:41 PM

Aw....not everyone's bad.... :fshifty:

discordiatookie 05-04-2010 06:56 PM

Wow, that is the trippiest thing. I ain't trying to start a fight here, just an observation that made me laugh:

In the first post on page two of this thread, Lost Angel has a quote from Benvenuto. I was all like "Hey, I didn't see that, where'd that come from?!" So I then reread the first page, but alas, I still could not find it. So I give up, then in the next post down, I read Ben's quote. You a time traveller, LA? :P

Yeah yeah, I know he's obviously used the edit button

I don't think so. All he had to do was quote my post and then reply. The edit to his previous post wasn't really necessary.

Ulisses31 05-05-2010 11:55 AM

I changed your life Lost? Call me teacher again, makes me get on... :teek:

(No bad intention, just a side joke about some friendly PM we exchanged)

Hey Lost I had the same troubles but now I see that this is just slang, so sometimes I just ignore and don´t take everything personal... easier.

But seems that you like to brawl everytime someone says something you don´t understand... more than a slang dictionary an attitude adjustment is what you need.

Try to see this like a friendly heads up, not a flame trow. So less hot head more calm down and all will be clear.

And what you said to plastroncafe when the intention was to help you is very rude man. She was really trying to help. And her link works fine to me.
I´m curious if you even have researched in there really. Is the best resource online for slang, and you reject it?

So you are having not just an hothead attitude but also you seems to be lazy to take advantage from the research tools we provide. Wrong. You are really Lost...
Peace.

Powder 05-05-2010 12:08 PM

I gotta say to Ulisses31, since you've first been here your english has improved greatly. Lost, you've got to just give it some time, & be patient.

Ulisses31 05-05-2010 12:17 PM

^Geeh Thanks:toops:

Loco 05-05-2010 01:16 PM

Whatever... everything  I am what I am.

I do want check your link plastron but I cant cause my conecction sucks but thanks anyway if you was full of good intentions.and apologies if I do everything bad.

Ulisses31 05-05-2010 01:24 PM

Honey = Hunny, plural hunnies = sweet girls...

From urban dictionary:

Quote:

hunny baby babe honey lover hun darling sweetheart love sweetie girlfriend nickname boo sweety bunny sex dear hottie boyfriend girl high angel ouran hun-bun host pooh club cutie pooh bear friend school best friend mitsukuni "hunny" haninozuka berfer wifey pet name sweet ten usa-chan shorty phunny chickmunk ass haninozuka phunnie fahd hunnie affa pookie doll girl friend

1. hunny 123 up, 29 down

1. Winnie the Pooh's favorite food.
2. Your sweetheart; see also: hunnie
1. He's just Pooh Bear, Winnie the Pooh Bear
Lookin' for fun, chasin' some hunny bees
2. "Hi hunny~ did u miss me?!*kisskiss*"
by hika Apr 13, 2005 share this
2. Hunny 92 up, 33 down

Hunny is a pet name to call someone who you are close 2. e.g girlfriends, best mates, boyfriends. Hun for short. I think the term may have come from the word honey. Changed the hunny i dont know why but it means sweetie basically so honey is sweet so hun hehe thats confusing!
No example really just like

Man: Heya Dear
Woman: Hello Hun.

BORING! hehe
by Bex Jul 11, 2004 share this
3. hunny 64 up, 26 down

A pet name for your girlfriend.
Yo, Hunny get ova here.
