Here we go for RC#5 we have IRMA, the geek? Or the most sexy girl in the TMNT canon?

In the 1987 animated series, Irma is a young woman who works as a secretary at Channel 6. Irma, April's best friend, is one of the few humans in the series who accept the Turtles instead of seeing them as evil just because they are different from the humans. Irma is always dressed in a light blue turtleneck sweater, a light purple dress, yellow socks, and light brown loafers. She wears large-lensed eyeglasses with bright pink frames. She wears her hair up, with a white scrunchie holding part of it in place.

Irma is boy-crazy most of the time, even showing affection to the Shredder in one episode (though she believed it was a man in a Shredder costume at the Mardi Gras costume parade). After the show was retooled during the eighth season Irma was eventually phased out of the show after appearing briefly in two episodes.

Irma was voiced by Jennifer Darling.

She makes a brief non-speaking cameo in the 1987 universe shortly after the turtles arrive in Turtles Forever.

You can post any number of redesigns you want and chose if it will be submitted to the contest poll, but when nothing is mentioned by the submitter, they will be always considered submissions.
Will only be considered a maximum of 2 finished Art submissions per participant for the contest poll.

All submissions made after the end date will not be considered, so please don´t post more art if the deadline ended.

As well, you don't have to force yourself to make your design conform to any new or old cartoon or comic book's style.
Be as drastic in your redesign as you see fit. Whatever makes you happy.

If you can't think of a new design, or just hate the idea of working on this character, you do not have to feel obligated to participate in this particular challenge.
You will still be free to participate in any future challenges you wish.

When the 15 days end, the contest poll will be post with the submissions during 10 days.
The winner of the contest poll can choose the 5th character in the next character poll.

Art Submissions End Date: 20th May 2010.

And by Oroku Saki do you mean Shredder or do you literally mean Oroku Saki as in his regular Bruce Lee looking human form?

MIrmaid? eh it works. I started mine but quite frankly i don't care as much about Irma as I did about Slash so whatevs. Probably post it by Friday.
I voted for Oroku Saki, cuz Metalhead looks awesome as it is. Plus without his Shredder Armor he just looked forget-able.

Not interested in Irma so I'm skipping this one. I'm sure there's something that can be done with her, but cumon, she's a human female... and the Ninja Turtles universe has about a hundred mutants and other creatures that it would be super interesting to re-design. I'd love a crack at General Traag, or Triceraton or Leatherhead or something.

Metalhead would be cool, too. I'm glad he's winning!

I was also thinking how Miss Gheist from Clueless also looked like Irma.

Ulysses, where did you get that second one? I want to see more of that artist's work...

Apparently his other TMNT fan art is pornographic, which explains how/why Ulisses found it in the first place... :tlol:

but I'm out if lead for my pencil, and I can't afford new ones, and I'm not that good with my tablet

Since Irma was April's friend in the original series, I felt it appropriate to use my redesign of April as the starting point for redesigning Irma.

Kali, I'm impressed. You redesigned the look and the character traits of Irma. I could really see this working in a modern-day TMNT revamp. Nice job!

Kali, you are awesome! I knew there was potential for a great reimagining of Irma! You've done a great job with both art and story!

Kali, I love Irma's new style and her new personality also works.

I really Kali's, even if the hot aspect is a bit exaggerated (Irma is supposed to be kind of a nerd) which is why I made her an Utrom.

Still one of the better ones visually.

wow there are like what, four entries here? kinda sucks considering people voted for Irma yet no one is paticipating in the actual creation. I should really finish mine though before I have to stick my foot in my mouth...

I´m passing this one. I don´t have time now, but I would like to redesign her someday.

Hope next redesign have more participations. Last redesign some regular participants showed their dislike about having to redesign Irma.

The redesign challenge poll have been seriously affected by readers and less by participant artists.

To avoid that and to give more "power" to the regular participants some measures have been implemented.

Social Group members can suggest characters to the poll.
The winner of each contest can chose the 5ft character in the poll.
The voting is now public and that expose and commit the voter with his choice.

I believe that this measures have show results in the active poll, Metalhead was suggested by the last challenge winner and is winning so this show the power of regular participants.

Next redesign character poll (RC#6) will be entirely a Social Group members choice/suggestion.

I think that the future of this contest will be, with this measures, in its participants hands, and they will definitively have the power.

Finally got around to this redesign and I could not come up with anything... I could have done the obvious "sexy" look but I suck at drawing anyways... :D

I am enjoying looking at these entries but I don't plan on submitting one. I don't have any good ideas that are different from "classic Irma."

I think future design challenges, somebody should just pick a character and we go with it. No polling. Or, at least fewer choices in the poll, and the winner gets to pick one of the choices.

Looking forward to Metalhead though!

Yeah dude. The polls get voted in by people who don't participate. I honestly think a few heads are trolling & picking undesirable characters... obviously no-one who participates wants to do irma so....

Ok almost done drawing my second Irma and gonna color them both tonite. They are both very... different from what I have seen here. We'll see if "Different" is good when the polls go up though.

Yeah I hated how she was always like I need a man NAOW. So i decided to make her the complete opposite of that.

I should be disqualified for those hands, lol.
I've been busy this week airbrushing at a new salon in town (DA watchers will see pics next week) and training new employees airbrushing.

Story:
Irma realized that she needs to do something different to get some.... love.
So she modified her old turtle neck sweaters to show of her..... best features.
She also decided to stop talking since her voice is sooooo annoying. geesh.

this was actually a hard challenge, I couldn't think of anything to match my previos re-designs. and shes kind of boring. but I guess thats kinda her thing. right?
